5:45 "As long as I'm warm & me knob's not hanging out, I don't really care" Utterly priceless quote. John McGuiness as always, is such a lovely, humble, honest, "Bloody Nice Bloke" & genuinely modest. You can just tell that, especially when he talks about the "younger & faster" riders, he's not jealous of them & is genuinely just happy for them. One of the best, if not the best TT rider ever! Enough said! Take care John, you're a legend & enjoy life at less than 130mph average lap times.
CongratulatIons John on your 100th start . you are a Legend ,,, nothing to prove,,, just competing in this epic event and coming home is worthy of more..... than most motor cyclists dreams total respect for what you have achieved and what you have given to the TT
King of the mountain,,,, King of the MOUNTAIN..... Loved watching John race over the years, most exciting thing on telly, the organisers should live stream practice week and everything on UA-cam, grow the fanbase.........
An absolute legend. My friend has had face to face dealings with John and he's as down to earth, genuine and funny as he appears. Half of me will be glad when he retires as too many top road racers, unfortunately, never get to that point....
Dear McGuinness, May I wish you and all the rider's a safe and successful ride for 2023. Also on a personal note, may I thank you for giving me your time when I saw you at the departure lounge at Manchester Airport. 👍👍
The guys and gals who are brave enough to take up the challenge of the IOMTT are special and definitely a breed apart. Looking forward to this years 2024 in two weeks. Come on. JM's legacy will live on for many years to come, well done Sir. A true legend.
They say you should never meet your heroes. I have a feeling Mr McGuinness would be the exception. Dare I say Legend!!? ( Been said so many times, but on this occasion, it's true.). Have a good one sir. You've earned it. ❤
I know this is a year old but as a fairly new TT fan all I can say is what a great spokesman for the greatest race on earth. I kind of hated when Dunlop surpassed him but he’s a great racer as well. They all have balls of titanium!
What can you say about the Morcombe missile, the road racing legend that is John McGuiness. Modest, quietly spoken and a demon on a motorcycle! RESPECT
It helps to know the course. I heard one rider say if you laid a penny on the tarmac where John had just traveled he would run over it the next time around.
55. Wanted a zx-10. Got a zx-6. I might still be a little crazy on a bike. Been a couple of decades but still. Most important thing ive ever heard in regards to a bike, you go where you look. If you’re looking at a tree or the line on the absolute side of the expressway by the grass, you’re going there
I wonder if you would of been on a 15 or 16 Honda if you would of been just on it on something you were used to riding he'll of a job you are a hero always in my book all you guys are just amazing 👏
What an absolute LEGEND John is, and always will be. For me, John McGuinness and Joey Dunlop, will forever share the throne, as the TT Kings. They are the true definition of both humble and world class. Rest In Petrol Joey 🙏
C'mon John. It's May, it's getting close to the Isle of Man TT 2024! Can John McGuinness get his 24th win this year? Or his 48th podium? Either way the man is an absolute hero, nothing more to prove. John McGuinness for his 24th win, then will he decide to hang the helmet up? 🏁🇮🇲🇬🇧🏍🥇🏆🙏🏼
Ian is a local to us, and it's absolutely criminal how little he is known. Hutchy won FIVE IN A WEEK!!! Even te great joey Dunlop never managed that. Ian Hutchinson is one of the greatest EVER tt riders, and it's actually appalling how he isn't a world famous racer. Five TTs in a week!!!
I would love to see John ride off into the sunset, capping his TT career at 100. Such a massively successful icon of the event. 100 is such a mind blowing achievement, and what better way to call it a day safely, than on that bike’s incredible paint job and leathers/helmet kit! If he does decide to hang up the leathers, I certainly hope he never stops being a part of the event every year. Cheers John 🍻
I think what makes him the best ever is that today, age is an even stronger factor than it used too, all the incredibly fast guys he had to face in his thirty years, in his 50's still going strong, absolutely flawless,... But his biggest achievement clearly is, over his whole career he's lapped the TT circuit so often that he did tens of thousands of kilometers going 130mph through villages and country roads and he's still her... Legend!
I’m hoping he’s there this year. I also hope he doesn’t try to win. Just ride Bulb. We need the Morecambe Missile alive. You have nothing left to prove bredren.😊👊🏽
Can't speak about John without speaking about Becky. Having had the person vilege of meeting them all, I have to say, Becky is an absolute diamond. I met them at oliver mount a few years back, and got so exited about meeting John McGuiness that I made a bit of a tit of myself, and John naturally took the piss a bit, but Becky just smoothed it all out effortlessly. She really is a magical woman, and John is very lucky to have her. A lovely, lovely couple, lovely family, and a legendary racer. God bless ya John.
always love listening to john ,its like listening to a proper normal person ,most of these lads are ,but as a change of subject didnt steve hislop start at 19 in 92 ? is that because they thought the norton was a none finisher?.....
Mate you'd been out off the TT for a few years so don't beat ya self up about not blowing the rubber of on your first lap even the time you posted for it is faster than 99.999 of any biker in the world could go and you have to be 100% if your gonna push it to the max it's bad enough if you come off at a properly for supervise track you know yourself at the TT if you come of there at those speeds it's at the very least broken bones but more likely the end of things so you used your head . With experience comes sense you've got nowt to prove mate :-) :-)
Ian isn't any faster than John all he needs is one on day a perfect ride Ian got 5 in a row I know if he can get 5 John can get one more it just takes him to get used to that new rrrrrr and be on that day and afew riders to slip a sec 😉 and John will do it he is still a bad man don't let that 50 age full you he knows how to fly around that mountain can't wait until the tt good luck and ride safe all the boys and my boy Dean will get one forsure this year
I would think, the older you get ,your not as gung ho as years earlier..im in my fifties and ride and am super cautious on a bike (you dont bounce so much if you come off)
Insurance has been secured for the season with only a couple of events cancelled. The Irish need to step up or lose their beloved sport forever. Roll on the Cookstown 100 and the North West 200 as I'll be there. 👌😎
I think he should stop. In 2022 he was riding good but he was always a podium contender in the past. In 2022 a podium was not possible. He has nothing to proof.
The utter legend of John McGuiness MBE. Enjoyed that. 👍🏼🇮🇲

I couldn't agree more. What a bloke, so humble.
"Utterly priceless quote" what a drama Queen, Mc would piss himself laughing at that🤣
I couldn't have said that any better. What a brilliant, talented, brave and humble human being. Totally Inspirational.
Ya need to read his book if you haven't already. Brilliant!
When you hear him describe what it was like at 50, doesn't it make you appreciate Joeys last win even more at the age of 48. Legends
And Joey didn’t just win those 3 he did it in a dominant fashion. The 250 race he was untouchable same with the Formula 1.
Complete legend this man. I hope he has a great 2023.
CongratulatIons John on your 100th start . you are a Legend ,,, nothing to prove,,, just competing in this epic event and coming home is worthy of more..... than most motor cyclists dreams
total respect for what you have achieved and what you have given to the TT
There sure is an awful lot to like in a guy like him. I feel grateful to have been around to see him race.
He’s our Joey ❤
@@coopertrooper87joey was a great human. Did so much for others too😊
Bought me a Fireblade only because of this living legend. His sunset has arrived, and Honda should embrace him as a proper ambassador for the brand.
What a true gent and a total LEGEND.............
Dear McGuinness, May I wish you and all the rider's a safe and successful ride for 2023. Also on a personal note, may I thank you for giving me your time when I saw you at the departure lounge at Manchester Airport. 👍👍

Absolutely love John McGuinness. Just an absolute living legend. All round fantastic bloke!

The guys and gals who are brave enough to take up the challenge of the IOMTT are special and definitely a breed apart. Looking forward to this years 2024 in two weeks. Come on. JM's legacy will live on for many years to come, well done Sir. A true legend.
Really enjoyed that, never any bullsh/t with John.
Ignorance and arrogance is not part of his resume, just and humble gent that's still in contention. Love to see him win another. Great interview.
Proper living legend 👏
Absolute legend. Looking forward to watching you this year John!
Living legend.
Good luck John.
Hope to see you again at the North West 200 in a month's time. 😎
Salt of the earth .. Had a good chat with John at stars of Darley Moore... He remembered photo ov me lad 15 years ago...

They say you should never meet your heroes. I have a feeling Mr McGuinness would be the exception. Dare I say Legend!!? ( Been said so many times, but on this occasion, it's true.). Have a good one sir. You've earned it. ❤
He is pure class on a bike at the TT and so relatable as just a bloke on his bike and loving it.
Yes John, that will sum it up - amazing! Well done for ALL that you have achieved, and happily lived to talk about it. Cheers mate.
Desde Argentina un excelente piloto mis felicitaciones

❤️ this guy! Respect.
RESPECT
Workingclass hero.
Simply brilliant TT Career from a top rider and a top man
I too am 50, riding a ZX10R. There is no way I could do what John does. He is at the pointy end of the field still. Hats off to him.
It helps to know the course. I heard one rider say if you laid a penny on the tarmac where John had just traveled he would run over it the next time around.

love hutchy too, if he dressed as a vicar you would think he was one
Ian is a local to us, and it's absolutely criminal how little he is known.

Even te great joey Dunlop never managed that.
Ian Hutchinson is one of the greatest EVER tt riders, and it's actually appalling how he isn't a world famous racer.
Five TTs in a week!!!
Looking fit!!👍
Like Hutchy said - amazing. And I say, modest, fast, safe and a legend, for a young lad. 😏
I would love to see John ride off into the sunset, capping his TT career at 100. RIP Adam Nevins.
Not bragging, but I was there that day and got a signed photo 😌

I’m hoping he’s there this year. I also hope he doesn’t try to win. Just ride Bulb. We need the Morecambe Missile alive. You have nothing left to prove bredren.😊👊🏽
Got you on video john going down BRAY hill on the 100th TT
Some man 👏
Should be Sir John Mcguinness. Like if you agree 👍
Just want him to retire safe and sound, love to see him get 3 or 4 more. Get up there with joey. He’s a top man.
Woe betide means a warning of someone's bad behaviour you were a bad lad having that tattoo john 😂😂😂😂
Hes got another podium in him
HONDA SPORT RACING.
POWERFULL IT'S AMAZING.
always love listening to john ,its like listening to a proper normal person ,most of these lads are ,but as a change of subject didnt steve hislop start at 19 in 92 ? is that because they thought the norton was a none finisher?.....
I Knew John McGuinness Wouldn't Beat Joey Dunlops 26 TT Record 😈
I worry for John. David Jeffries, Joey, Robert and William Dunlop all great TT riders, no longer with us.
Wishing you and Nathan well this year at the TT 👍🏼
❤❤❤
Uh, Johny! I wish he would win some one more TT.
All the best John I hope you've got Tyson Fury painting your shed.
He reminds me of Angus young 😂😂😂
😊💪💪💪💪💪💪
In a perfect Universe, John equal Joey and then Micheal beats the record with all the family riding with him in Spirit .
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
Is this the race he nearly hit the football?
Mate you'd been out off the TT for a few years so don't beat ya self up about not blowing the rubber of on your first lap even the time you posted for it is faster than 99.999 of any biker in the world could go and you have to be 100% if your gonna push it to the max it's bad enough if you come off at a properly for supervise track you know yourself at the TT if you come of there at those speeds it's at the very least broken bones but more likely the end of things so you used your head . Hope it isn't one race too far fella.
Ian isn't any faster than John all he needs is one on day a perfect ride Ian got 5 in a row I know if he can get 5 John can get one more it just takes him to get used to that new rrrrrr and be on that day and afew riders to slip a sec 😉 and John will do it he is still a bad man don't let that 50 age full you he knows how to fly around that mountain can't wait until the tt good luck and ride safe all the boys and my boy Dean will get one forsure this year

i'm just gonna say this though ... no offense intended.
but if he looses a bit of weight, he could be even faster! :)
RAD 02
MAYBE WORK ON THAT SUSPENSION
I would think, the older you get ,your not as gung ho as years earlier..im in my fifties and ride and am super cautious on a bike (you dont bounce so much if you come off)
Well Irish road racing has all but gone I wonder how long it will be when we see the last TT 😔
Is skerries on this year man?
The TT will go from strength to strength I hope 🤞🏻 👍🏻
Insurance has been secured for the season with only a couple of events cancelled.
The Irish need to step up or lose their beloved sport forever.
Roll on the Cookstown 100 and the North West 200 as I'll be there. 👌😎
Big Everything is killing everything fun. No wonder so many are unhappy and having “mental health issues “. All work and no fun makes everyone …..
He is not afraid to race at the TT, but he is afraid about the dentist...
You watch a documentary about bikes and notice his teeth………….just come out as a homosexual 😂
I think he should stop. In 2022 he was riding good but he was always a podium contender in the past. In 2022 a podium was not possible. He has nothing to proof.
Never been the same since they ruined his teeth... 😊
I'll be 50 in March and all I can say is never ever underestimate anyone regardless of their age.
LEGEND 👍💪👋❤️
Top bloke👍
