@@mokhan8832 The one I mentioned above, the 16 ohm vintage Celestion G12K85 if you can find one. The new version they make now are called G12K100. You’ll be surprised at the difference between the stock speaker, huge difference
@@Nicksfingerstylechannel-cu9sc Thank you brother, these amps are sweet but i think the upgraded speaker will do the od channel more justice than it currently does especially with high gain tones.
Buy it and give it a quick resolder in all preamp tubes pins on the PCB. This version have all his possible issues covered in Marshall Forum. Is a very good amp, just take basic care of it, like most PCB equipped tube amps. In time: The power tubes on this model is Chassi Mounted, The newer ones are PCB soldered
@@GrandpaJams with my boss katana which I think is a tube amp doesn’t. I think it doesn’t make a pop noise when you turn the master and volume off cuz that’s what I do regularly
I own my home no neighbors kids are grown and gone so mine is on volume number 8 to 9 with pedals of choice for a little portable it isent bad definitely loud as phuch😊
I cant olay for shit but when i crank up my 100 watt marshall vintage modern i got wheb i was 12 when they first hit the showroom floor at guitar center i bought it with lawnmower money for 600 bucks and only song i knew at that time was night train by gnr and only song i knew all the way through at the tjme and it sounded amazing and still does when i play it but sounds better when i cranknit up to 10 cause ypu jait cant hear at all but the dsl line up especially the 40 is all yoy need to play any small or medium aized venues
😂 Yep, I've got one and it's amazing ! I figured out a nice little trick with the fender, put celestion speakers in it and wire then to 16 ohms and it brings the amp to life where you can turn it up to 5 or 6 and or the same volume as 1 but has tone and you can still turn the knobs without drastic volume jumps.
Try adding a volume pedal in fx loop?
This is a great amp...a speaker upgrade will do wonders! I have a vintage Celestion G12K85 in mine-sounds glorious!
What is a good upgrade in your opinion?

I can't play for 💩, but when I crank the amplifier up super loud it does sound a little better 😂
Turn the volume up all the way, and use your gain to set your loudness. You get the tone of the amp working at a … somewhat reasonable level.
U needa crank it to get that tube sound
I have the gain down also. All tone knubs to 11 lol
I was think about buy on of these. But you see alot of used ones around. I just wonder why

That's one of the best versions. The later ones are crappy.
Agree
Have you tried turning your EQ knobs down? Heard the other day that Nuno has his bass on 4 and mid and treble on 1!
Yeah, I had everything cranked up for sure.
Attenuator does the trick
Turn it up and use the volume knob on the guitar.
A JC40 would be better for you, I think. I'm trading mine in for more depth. Otherwise, it's awesome!!!! Was looking a Marshall.
Is this pretty loud for a gig?
Yo, when you turn it off does it make that loud popping noise?
My. Marshall valvestate 8040 does that too.

Buy a distortion pedal to go with it maybe 🤔
I have a boss GT6.

That ain’t nothing .. long time back I bought a new fender frontman 100 watt 2x12s and that volume was .5 and sounded like it was at vol 5 setting.

Go Avs!!
Amps sound better with mid knob low
Thanks, I know to scoop the mids but when it's really low, it doesn't do much.
Dude dust your room man those stuffed animals are grose i can hear it in your voice yah big dust ball lmao😊
Why don't you come dust my room for me? Just like your wife does for you...
