To me, this is the future of retro game emulation and compilations. While nothing really beats the experience of owning the actual consoles and playing the physical game cartridges/discs on the original hardware, the amount of effort put into this VR game room environment brings you as close as possible without having to invest time and money into dealing with old, sometimes temperamental tech. Just being surrounded by this virtual retro environment puts you into a certain headspace that brings you right back to those days when these consoles and games were brand new, and you're able to fully appreciate them without any modern-day distractions ruining your immersion.

That's true! I had a couple of cds that were ruined because the label on top got scratched to the point of being able to see light through it, and at least if the bottom got scratched you could buff it out. But for the most part it was better to avoid scratches on the bottom.

Talk about a nostalgia bomb. I had glow-in-the-dark star and planet stickers on my own bedroom ceiling, growing up. And then seeing the physical carts and CDs, the consoles. Good stuff. To what extent can you customize the room?
Thanks for the great video, Mike.
It's Aech's basement! Just need some D&D manuals and some vintage comics to flip through!
Would have love to have seen the creation tool to see what other posters and stuff you could custom your room with.
I really love this man. Brings back a lot of my best memories playing with my best friend back in the day
Now we need a VR Gamestop from the 90's - early 2000's to buy them. Also hopefully E3 conventions we can explore.
Any way to use this with mobile phone headsets? Perhaps with rift cat or something?
hey mike cool video! i liked hearing about your childhood moments with the consoles it's really nice as i have my own as well too. It looks like a great app but i really wish there was a multiplayer so that you can play games and experiencing it with a friend(s). that would be really amazing
Seems like the perfect game to play on a Saturday morning
Yes! Look at this! I hear you about the 4 player golden eye... that was the game ! Me and my friends always said we would have bought golden eye even if the cartridge didn’t come out console ?! Good times.
These are 90's era consoles, I would love to experience playing 80's era consoles 😍
