Agreed...he was such a great guy and talented vocalist and writers...such a tragedy...I am a recovering heroin addict and alcoholic and Layne's music got me through some hard times. I made my son's middle name Layne in honor of him. RIP Layne Staley.

It's about time Layne was credited for all of his talents. He was also a brilliant artist who designed the AIC logo. Here's something else to consider-- Layne is treated as the problem child in the band due to his struggles with addiction, we tend to forget that the other members had serious issues as well: Cantrell didn't get sober until two years after Staley's death. It would be extremely hard to stay sober when your band mates are partying and doing drugs and drinking every chance they get. Just some perspective. Alice in Chains' -story is more complicated and less black and white than the press narrative has been. Thanks for setting the record straight.
