Black Leander is just a low-quality Perth without the perks of sonar and HE shells, both of which are way more of an improvement over Leander than the swapping of smokescreens to fuel smokes. I would even say that the smokescreen is more useful than the fuel smokes, as they allow you to tank a position (e.g. a cap), and at low tiers, no one even bothers to blind fire into smoke, so you can just sit there and spam shells.
I’ve always blind fired into smoke screens. Albeit I’m at tier 7-9 mainly now but I’ve only been playing about 4-6 months. That was something I did from the beginning. Especially HE shells, if they’re burning you can see them. I guess most newer players don’t? I didn’t ever really pay much attention to newer players, figured I’d learn more from people with fancy badges and titles with higher numbers in the badges.
@@MavrikUSMC I got the Perth from getting a free key in that olympics event, honestly its pretty decent (compared to leander it has an he alternative which is good), but in its blitz pass sometime ago, it was not the best
To be fair I was excited about this video because I needed to hear your ironic laugh, like on the Black Dallas video. However it is true that this time, the Black version is definitely an improved version of a tech tree ship.
Personally, I think the black ships are nothing more than a gimmick. New premiums and black ships are adding to power creep and make the tech tree ships somewhat irrelevant 😔
There is actually one very good black ship - Bismarck. She has aa and reload boosters, in brawling it makes black Bismarck different from tech three Bismarck. These guns with this damage rate and AA which makes cv avoid Bismarck are very good things
While not really chasing any Brit line, I did end up with London and Belfast. Ive been pleasantly suprised with the results from both. Amd while my main focus has been to get all the US ships first, Im starting to feel like the British lines will be next after I finish the Italian cruisers (2 to go)...
I wanted to get her because she is in my birthday month. But it's not a major improvement and Wargaming's Birthday event will have a teir 6 german carrier in the blitz pass (probably) around my birthday.
Hmmm just looks like another effortless money grab from Wargaming just painting a tech line ship black and slapping a price tag on it. I’m starting to get tired of these black ships and continuous underwhelming blitz passes. I believe the last good one they actually had was with the Prinz Eitel Friedrich back in March.
Have to say i bought it for resources... but at least can torp people with fuelsmoke.. 😆 Didnt like any uk cruiser until neptune.. this is actually not bad .. cause its t6.. not cause leander is strong 😂
Just what this game needed, another variant of the Leander. We now have the tech tree Leander, the Huanghe, the Perth, and now this. I think there is a long list of other ships that players would like to see added. Perhaps they could’ve put the Conqueror or Tone in the Blitz pass.

Well, the Perth is just a souped up Leander. I skipped it on blitz pass too.

Huanghe is just a really worse version of Soviet escort Cruisers.
I really hope Tone gets into the Shipyard in the future.
