After I finish my sophomore year of high school, my mom is immediately homeschooling me. I was homeschooled once before in fourth grade, because of the same reason now. Bullying. The bullying has gotten so terrible. I’m just ready to go back to home schooling because I know it’s gonna be so much easier!!! This really helped me get excited and let my worries go!
I’m so sorry that you’ve been bullied. Kids can be so mean. And yes, homeschooling does make a lot of things easier. Life has been much less stressful 😅. I’m so excited for you!! 💛💛💛💛

You are so welcome! I switched to homeschool for the same exact reasons. Physical school (especially high school) was super duper stressful for me everyday. Switching has helped my anxiety and stress so much. I hope things get better for you!! 💛💛💛

I’m a homeschool mom, idk how I stumbled upon your page but thank you. This encouraged me to know that my daughter will be ok. She’s only 8 now but she takes a long time with school and she sings a lot lol. I thought maybe I’m holding her back but I guess this is her style and I’m going to learn to embrace it.

I homeschool too because I’m forced to and I hate doing it because I need interaction with other kids my age and we moved a few months ago so I’m all alone. Anyways watching your videos on homeschooling gives me motivation to do my work and stuff and try to enjoy it. I love your account and I wish you the best of luck with it!
I’m so sorry you’re having a hard time with homeschooling. It’s not always easy. I can definitely relate to wanting to be around other kids your age, especially since I went to regular school for most of my life. It was a hard adjustment at first and sometimes it still is. I would suggest joining a sport or club in your area. I know it’s not the same as going to school with people, but at least you can meet kids who are your age. I would also say that you should try talking to your parents, if they’re willing to hear you out. Sometimes us kids have no say in decisions that heavily impact us and that can be hard to deal with. Maybe homeschooling isn’t the best option for you and it may be beneficial to have an honest (and respectful) conversation with your parents about that. Also, I wanted to say that in this video I was productive, but everyday isn’t like that. Sometimes I don’t get my work done and sometimes I end up crying because I have too much work😂. It gets hard to stay motivated, because you have to be your own motivation. So, I am glad that you found motivation from this video because that’s why I made it! Homeschooling can feel so isolating, but please know that there are other people who are doing it with you, like me!😉
I tried talking to my mom about it but she won’t put me in school because of the things they teach now 🥲 I’ll never get her to let me go back to a public school. I am hoping to find a place where I can make friends but also because I’m super shy it’s hard for me to step up and talk to people because I do go to church and stuff so I’m around people at least on Sundays and Wednesday nights. I’ll look for clubs around here though
I definitely relate to being shy🙈. I used to be pretty shy when I was younger, but I started doing little things to come out of my shell and I’m not shy anymore! For example, I would challenge myself to give someone a compliment. This would usually create a conversation. It was sometimes awkward at first, but you can usually get past it. That’s honestly how I made a lot of my friends. I also started going up to other kids and saying hi. This was really weird for me, but it’s another way I made friends. When you’re at church, you can try these things. Another option is to find co-ops near you. Sometimes there are co-ops based on certain religions as well, if that’s something you are looking for. I don’t want to get your hopes up if your mom has already said no to physical school, but there is the option of a private school or charter school. Private schools tend to be expensive, but you could find one that’s based on your religion. I attended a charter school and it was completely free, but they don’t necessarily follow the same curriculum as local public schools (if that’s what your mom is concerned about). I’m not sure how it works wherever you live, but that’s how it was for me. I know none of these options are perfect, but I hope this helped a little bit😭

I miss homeschool so much, public school is just so stressful and hard to deal with. I was homeschooled last year due to stress and I’m back to public this year but I can’t help missing homeschooling.

I homeschool my child. I love the authenticity of home schooled kids. They really love to be THEMSELVES and seem more confident. I know there’s horror stories of it and that really makes me sad. Please if you have a video of tips to make to more fun please let me know if the link. My baby girl is 7 and so far she loves it and has made plenty of friends in it.
I love this comment! People really do have such a negative view of homeschooling, but I personally love it! I unfortunately don’t have a video about making it more fun, but I do have a few tips. (1) Listening to music makes the work more enjoyable. My younger brother is around your daughter’s age and also homeschooled and he loves listening to music while doing school! Sometimes it can be too distracting, but the right playlist can be super fun 😅 (2) Interactive “field trips” can be really fun, especially for younger kids. They can be educational as well. Most libraries host many (free) weekly events for kids, but places like museums or national parks can be a great trip and aren’t super expensive! I am not an expert on homeschooling at all lol, but I hope this was somewhat helpful. There are so many other videos on UA-cam about this topic and they have way more ideas!

You’re so welcome!! I also switched because I was really stressed. All of my worst memories are at my old school 😅 My anxiety was very bad because of rude kids and it made it difficult to focus on the work. I hope you’re able to switch because I’ve felt so much better mentally since I started homeschooling! The stress of physical school can be so intense😭

gurl i literally just went up to her and i was like let me do online classes and she was like no you need the social experience i don’t wanna sound like rude but i got a good amount of friends so i know how to be social and i have friends outside of school yk
I’m sorry she said no. If it helps, there are so many statistics that prove that kids who do online school are just as social as kids in regular school. I also can say that it’s true. Even though I’m homeschooled, I still have good social skills lol
I’m about to be a junior and I so want to be homeschooled due to social anxiety. Do you know how Juniors do their “SAT”?
The process is actually the same for all students, whether they’re homeschooled or in physical school! It makes everything so much easier. All you have to do is go to the official SAT website and there should be a button that says “register.” From there, you’ll probably have to put in a bunch of different personal information and find a “testing center” which is usually just a school in your area. Hope this helps!

How do i convince my mom to let me homeschool
I think you should sit down with your mom and have an open and honest conversation. It’s important to hear each other out and try to see the other person’s side. I’m not sure what reasons your mom has given you as to why she doesn’t want you to homeschool, but try to research and present the facts to her. It can be hard to convince parents, but I hope this helped you a little bit. Let me know if you need anymore tips!

How do you start homeschooling? Like what programs are good and reliable for being homeschooled?
Honestly, I’m not an expert on the schools out there, but here are a few that I’ve heard of: Excel High School (the one I use), Abeka Academy (it’s a Christian school btw), Connections Academy, and K12. If you want more information, I recommend watching UA-cam videos from people who have actually attended the schools. Hope this helps!

I don’t think that being homeschooled has negatively impacted my social skills at all! I still interact with people all the time and I wouldn’t describe myself as socially awkward or anything lol. There are still a lot of different ways to socialize as a homeschooler, like sports or other extracurriculars. I hope this helps! 💛

Yeah I definitely thought about switching back, especially junior and senior year. The FOMO kind of hit me during my senior year, but overall I don’t regret doing online school!! 💓💓
