It was literally Kevin's fault lmao. Yeah he shouldn't type it out but if his take away from that game was 'I played well and my tm8 threw' there is nothing wrong with that. It happens and clearly was the case

I tell every toxic player - being mean to your teammate after 1 or 2 whiffs immediately makes them play worse. Without fail. Try some encouragement guys. When you encourage a teammate who knows they're playing trash, they will try harder. Most of the time.

I love how when wally lost twice in a row he really thought "Man, these teammates are really just so terrible. Two in a row!" Instead of maybe deciding that the only common factor was himself. Truly a gamer moment.
I trash talk everyone. Almost every game I trash talk everyone that sucks, even myself. Nobody is safe. To me it spices up the game so I don’t get bored. Most of the time it’s just boredom.

I think we all love these types of scenarios. Having a toxic teammate from last game on the opponent side in the next match and beating them. Happened to me a week ago and it really felt good.
You know what is better scenario my mate is playing for the enemy team because i was toxic and they still lost
For me, it works like this: As my teammate, a guy plays badly. Next game, as an opponent, he plays really well.
These videos are a good reminder that just because a teammate misses a shot or two, doesn’t mean he sucks.
If someone does that “okay” “wow” shit, you’re in for 5 minutes of misery

I disabled in-game chat like 2 years ago. You know that feeling when you played a really fun console game with your boys on the sofa after school when you were kids? That's how Rocket League feels now. Before, it was just a daily "How long can I take verbal abuse for today?" grind. I lose, I win, I have good days and bad days, but it's always a good time, now. I should note I only play ranked with buddies in discord, not solo queue (often). Great video, Sunless.

Love it how WallySnakes missed same open net like sunless in first video, yet in the end of the game still blamed his teammate. Holding up others to different standards than yourself and pointing fingers is gist of this game it seems like.
I just had a 1v1 recently where this guy quick-chatted “Wow!” 3 times every time I scored. I scored like 4 goals and he kept saying Wow. I’m like whatever I had a couple of kickoff goals so I understand his frustration. Then he scored a double tap and he “What a save!”d. I said “Nice shot!” I score 3 more goals and he’s still spamming “Wow!” At this point after 1 of my goals I typed “dude” “calm down” and he spammed “Wow!” because I was watching the replay to type. He scored one more and spammed “What a save!” Now I’m just thinking “Wow. Guy is full tilted.” I score one more and type something cheesy “Bro at this point you should just what a save yourself.” And he immediately goes afk for a minute and then disconnects. He had the weakest mental I’ve ever seen a trash talker have at the time. I can’t imagine playing that tilted.
Some people smh. I was in a 2v2 tourney. We won our first two games pretty easily. 3rd game I noticed something was up after he whiffs kickoff then types how am I not covering the net. 4th game he goes full toxic (we were winning). Starts calling me ass, and just typing up a storm. I stop playing, and he starts asking for forgiveness. Tells me he has anger isssues. The 3rd game of the quarter finals the other team lost their teammate. I type to the lobby whats everyone's best off wall play. My toxic teammate failed to do anything off the wall 3 times in a row and the solo guy on the other team typed lol. In the finals, he stops being ball chasey, nice shots and great passes me as we won the tourney. My weirdest experience in RL thus far.

Exactly what I was trying to convey. If you just say "I beat a guy that trash talked me before" it doesn't sound that great but there's it's just such a great feeling in RL specifically.
RL is really absurd. One day I score twice a match, doing double taps, making good passes... The next day I miss kickoffs, open nets, going out of position.
One day i have a winning streak of 10, the next it seems impossible to win a single match.
It really drives me crazy how my consistency changes from a day to another. Sometimes i have to stop playing, just not to derank too much

A couple weeks ago I had a teammate who called me trash and an “accident”. He said he was better than me so we 1v1d. To make a long story short, I beat him 5-1 one game, and 8-2 the next, causing him to rage quit

The worst thing that could happen in this scenario is if you get a teammate that helps you kick the last toxic teammate's ass and decides to party up.
Because then you lose two matches in a row after performing abysmally in both, and they leave the party without saying a single word.

If we consider a similar scenario, then I had a situation where my friend and I lost 0-3 to two ballchasers with 0 iq. At the end of the game they wrote EZ. The next game. We are against them again. A minute and a half later, the score is 5-0, in our favor. They ff after 2 minutes. That.Was.Delicious.

This is the realist relatable vod you've posted yet.
There's a third alternative to the revenge scenario. You are matched against your ex trash-talker teammate, and you start winning, scoring goals like never in your life. You are getting back at him, proving yourself and, boy, you let him know that in the chat. Oh, huge mistake. Your own current teammate, who, by the way, was playing silently until that moment, thinks that you are the toxic one towards the opponents, and starts throwing to prove you a point. He doesn't know what had happened before and makes you lose, just to feel better about himself. Kinda like a hero to an imaginary victim.

I become the final boss when my teammates are actual ass and prove they shouldn't be on RL. Ballchasing, bad rotations, always bumping me/ball stealing, never pushes up when I center the ball... AND refuses to FF. Yep that's my que to be as toxic as possible

As a teammate, it's every teammate's job to manage the morale of the team. If my teammates pull this shit, I usually just let them take the lead and they absolutely crumble under that responsibility. Their mindset is their mindset. These are pixels, I'll sleep fine at night.

My favorite thing to do when someone is trash talking is to just type in chat "Someone's Grumpy" and watch how mad they get
trashtalking your teammates is objectively stupid, it makes them want to win even less since you're their teammate, and it will stress them out and make them panic way more. that's why in hard team sports like volleyball, people tend to go and give their teammates a high five or a hug to give them a morale boost even if they lost the point
