" We are the Cenobites, the lords of the order of the gash, to some we are angels, to others demons, we are explorers of the outer boundaries of experience"
I utterly love this notion of the realm of hellraiser, as it inspires a whole new narrative that would allow for so many amazing separate stories to unfold in new dynamic ways. I honestly feel somewhat sad that it was never allowed to grow into something Lovecraftian and fresh.
I agree. You could see stories of how the changes in hell happened, which was hinted about when Angelic (not sure her name) came in an was the first summoned by the box. Or even showing how the Leviathan went from the statue we hear about in this idea, to being a larger version of the box in later version.
Yeah, the films did embark on the fanciful and borderline ridiculous after HR2, then seemed to remember 'their' roots with the Wire Twin episode and the most recent film. Just seems like so much wasted celluloid in between. The entire series, imo, could be likened to humans as one goes from prepubescent (parts 1 & 2) to and through the 'awkward stage' of young adulthood (everything from 3 to the Wire Twin iteration, the Box in Space being the most awkward growing pains) culminating in a newly formed adult that still resembles the youngster we all knew and loved yet having a mind of its own and making decisions us 'parents' don't necessarily approve of, but can appreciate as part of its search for knowledge and being which is unfortunate as we (the fans and the films) don't really communicate or see much of each other anymore.
I've generally lost faith in Hollywood and it's writers and storytellers. Basically they've lost any sense of adventure in bold storytelling. Pushing the boundaries of what's possible. They play it safe and movies suffer and so does the movie.
In my opinion this is the way to go. I don't really know why anyone would be adverse to this happening. I love the historical elements with it going so far back. That's interesting to me. I hope this project isn't shelved indefinitely. So much potential.
Donnie Darko exactly man this seems like it would do really well just from how different it is compared to the other films with it actually taking place in Hell. It would most likely also introduce even more Cenobites and demons that may have never even been seen before or made their way into the movies yet on screen with where its taking place. Really wish this would’ve actually went through
I like the fan theory that Event Horizon was an unofficial WH40K movie due to the nature of the dimension the ship passed through. And the physicality themes in Event Horizon weren't that far off from Hellraiser, so yeah, I think it all relates.
I think that Barker purposely left the heavenly aspects out of the original film to keep it more on the bleak side as well as to not define The Hell Priest and the Cenobites as specifically evil.
My main gripe with the hellraiser lore is how it’s sort of become contrived in its use of religious themes or ideology. The hellbound heart seemed almost like a modern day lovecraftian type of sci-fi horror story, with the cenobites being inter dimensional beings, and all the religious themes were more to kind of ground the story into something we could contextualize. But ever since then it seems like the idea of “demons to some, angels to others” has become more literal, with pinhead actually being in hell (religious hell) as opposed to some void of torment. The idea that the box summoned these entities from another dimension just seemed much more appealing to me than the familiar good vs evil, heaven/hell, etc.
Right. I like the ides and love the pictures. My concern is how to build a story around it. What are the stakes? What conflict? How do we as a audience relate? So far Hellraiser works best as a subtle force. The consequence of terrible and dumb humans who seek something mind-raping that they will never be ready for, and a punishment for all their deeds of getting there. That's why none of the sequels work because they tried to make it into a slasher like Freddy. I think as a story the world of Hellraiser works best as like a spider hidden in the shadows who which the characters are unaware as they dance ever closer to the web through their misdeeds, animal impulses, & ignorance. Also there still needs to be mystery and haveing everything spelled out and put up on screen leaves little to the imagination.
Scarlett gospel came after books of blood In which there were no religious ties. After this last book I'd really want to say it's a ghost writer as it was so bad.
Exactly I always imagined the cube to be a fresh portal into a fresh new pocket dimension when it was created by the Toy-maker. And once those evil masochistic aristocrats were the first to venture in, they turned it into a place of pain based misery and pleasure. Similar to the way Narnia was created by the two children and the evil queen in The Magician's Nephew.
It would be cool (or too damn hot???) to see Clive Barker's artistic friends collaborate with Wayne Barlowe, who has done great work with Guillermo del Toro in Hellboy.
This would be so great for the reboot. I really like the webbing and the fungus spores on the decaying body. During Bloodline, they show the story of Ths Princess. It would be great to where she went inside The Labyrinth
I like the ides and love the pictures. My concern is how to build a story around it. What are the stakes? What is the conflict? How do we as a audience relate? Totally agree, wow what an art work that is. I would love seeing this coming to life. I think there are so many paths, and angles to explore the Hellraiser universe. When I read the The Scarlet Gospels I felt it showed new sides of the universe that the films (which I encountered first time when they came out, had not read the stories before that) I think its a great way to expand and lift dirty blankets and peek under into the great universe.
Eric Faith curious why yiu believe that. Assuming religion as fiction or otherwise, the source of the leviathan predates jeudo-christian beliefs, and... “Jewish sources describe Leviathan as a dragon who lives over the Sources of the Deep and who, along with the male land-monster Behemoth, will be served up to the righteous at the end of time. The Book of Enoch (60:7-9) describes Leviathan as a female monster dwelling in the watery abyss (as Tiamat), while Behemoth is a male monster living in the desert of Dunaydin ("east of Eden"). When the Jewish midrash (explanations of the Tanakh) were being composed, it was held that God originally produced a male and a female leviathan, but lest in multiplying the species should destroy the world, he slew the female, reserving her flesh for the banquet that will be given to the righteous on the advent of the Messiah”
Never thought of looking into the lore behind Hellraiser until this morning. Quite interesting stuff. This idea that all of humanity is dammed by a God that is neither good or evil. It's just a machine that strips us down of what we cherish the most....our flesh and blood. In the Bible, it states that God made man in his image. What if we learn that his image was his ideal food? That God has to have a steady stream of flesh and blood. That our souls aren't the important part because it's only energy but human flesh and blood are truly unique and what's really important. That our desire for everlasting life is because we wish to hold onto this rare and wonderful gift we call a body that exist no where else in the universe. You could really have some fun with that.
The ONLY this that disappoints me personally is the fact they DIDN'T make this film. By far this is the film that franchise needs to reestablish a foothold in the horror movies of this era. The story is extremely interesting and grisly like a extra rare stake cut fresh from the meat cow and hit with a bic lighter to cook it! Raw and disgusting. .. just as hellraiser should be. The towers sound EPIC! the characters are tight!
its a absolute crying shame these two guys didnt get their idea of hellraiser picked up. This series so very badly needed to be given the time and dedication to make it a hyper dark, gritty and mystical landscape. I would have loved to have seen this happen. i'll keep waiting and hoping.
Some sort of direct connection between the realm of the cenobites and the dimensional breach into hell in "Event Horizon" would be extremely intriguing.
Damn dude! I wish this could have been an actual movie, just looks so dark and twisted but unlike any other horror movie not only in its own franchise but ever before. Maybe it could still happen but most likely not.
This channel is synonymous with Hellraiser, you truly understand the lore and meanings in the movies its great, and all these vids you've been making have really re-ignited my love for the franchise
The problem with the Pinhead character being a mantle that is passed down from cenobyte to cenobyte is that Doug Bradley played the character so perfectly that unless there's a clear distinction in appearance, voice, and personality, that any character will seem like a pale imitation. To pull this off, you'd need an accomplished character actor like Sam Niell or Hugo Weaving which is unfortunately outside the budget of any Hellraiser film because they need to spend most of it on effects.
SO. MUCH. POTENTIAL. This needs to happen. What an amazing idea for a reboot of the franchise! How did people not like this? It’s fresh, and just the description of the Citadels inspires a sense of real dread. That’s missing from horror movies!
Doug Bradley will always be Pinhead, and Hellworld is the final film as far as I'm concerned. I would definitely like to see this actually happen though because of the huge time gap someone else as Pinhead would be fine and make sense. The way this story sounds, and if done properly could be a really good origins story for this franchise.
This looks so good incredible realy funny how they wont do this but they'll make tons of crappy sequels this would b like the force awakens of hellraiser this Needs to be made into film
i am the True Highlander That’s the horrifying part. It’s ultimately Hell on Earth. It makes u wonder how tribes like the Skinned and the Traders existed and functioned, being so horrifically tortured. Pretty disturbing and horrifying to think about.
@@celestialspartan1176 i agree 💯 percent but it would expose this EVIL world for WHAT it is 😃 PEOPLE making packs with demons to fulfill their dreams!!!🔥😈
I always wanted to see a physical form of the god of the labyrinth maker of the cenobites instead of just seeing the pyramid shaped levithane from the originals.its not a traditional hell so it's not Lucifer.but getting an origin on this would really be something to see
@@justwannabehappy6735 Leviathan is one of the prime entities in the realms of boundless pain and pleasure..it isn't per say a living conscious but a force of nature built by God to manage over the damned. The leviathan is really an advanced a.i. built by God to run that particular and specific realm of hell. When you see the spinning wooden posts with chains and body parts, that represents the leviathan. Symbolism of it. The dr. from the 2nd one understood this and understood the leviathan wasn't a being like pinhead. It didn't have a human spirit. It was apathetic and neutral and only had one purpose put forth for it. To manage and run that particular realm or level of hell. He hacked it. Becoming of the few mortals besides pinhead and a few others in the series to become a cenobite and he actually became more powerful than pinhead. This is where the "pleasure" comes in. Being a cenobite, living forever, doing all the mad experiments you want, no repercussions, God can't touch you, sin all you want, be evil...do whatever! Total freedom! And almost god like abilities to be as perverse and evil as you want. The dr gained the ultimate "pleasure" for a sinner. That wasn't it's design. Pinhead and that dr. becoming a cenobite was never meant to be. There are many levels to it. Each level has a "leviathan" or an "overlord". This particular leviathan created the cenobites in order to go out and get the damned. Like tentacles. In all reality, pinhead is just a lawnmower for God to cut down sinners. In the novella, it hints toward all this. Is he really evil? No, pinhead isn't "evil". Pinhead is just doing what he is programmed to do. Like an animal and his human spirit is actually a virus in his coding. The very existence of cenobites wasn't supposed to happen and pinhead and them are an anomaly. It was always just supposed to be the realms of hell and the "overlords" or in that particular realm of hell, the leviathan. This is where the series hints at a "lucifer" who controls the "leviathan" even thought it was God who built it. Hence, why were getting cenobites to reach out like tentacles. That was never it's intended purpose.
This gives me very much a "Worm" vibe. The bio-mechanical elements with a litle bit of steam punk on top of a lot of H.R. Giger stuff. I would love to see a movie like this, but it would probably end up as the most costly horror film in history. The buget would have to be huge, and the team behind it would need a good leadership to make sure that everyone has an exact idea of what should be how. It's one of those things that with even small mistakes could turn from great to crap.
Sounds like a horror take on a movie style like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow or Casshern. Those movies were cutting edge at the time, but that level of stylized CGI should be getting more manageable as the years pass.
0:55 -- I was one of them. :P I wanted this to come to light so bad. Loved the visuals, and to me, it was sort of a blend of Planescape and Hellraiser. Just gorgeous.
At about 45 seconds I don't really like that PinHead design. Not because it looks absolutely terrible, but because it looks like "The Hammer" from "Thirteen Ghosts"
I like the old uniforms better too The old uniforms were a nearly perfect combination of s&m type wear and priestly robes This one makes him look more like a barbarian from a fantasy table top rpg or something Although I must say I did like the new tribes and the structures
Although Hammer worked perfectly for that role and looked great. Would never work as pinhead obviously, like you said, not a fan of the pinhead they showed.
My faith in Netflix's potential for TV shows was rekindled after Punisher S1, Daredevil S3 and Altered Carbon. Additionally, Netflix would certainly have the vast budget required!
Well, the Leviathan should be tell-tale for even the oblivious. The son of Cthulhu appeared in the 2018 game Call of Cthulhu as a primary driver for the protagonist.
Na Lovecraftian is more Giant Demons/Beasts that roamed the world thousands of year ago with human Cults who worship them. Called Cosmic Horror.. Clive Barker is more BDSM/Religious "demons" and he uses blood alot. Infact Barker use of blood and religious imagery is essential. Whereas Lovecraftian hardly ever uses blood. They are 2 very distinct genres.
I really love this idea esp because there are a few of the sequels that I liked how they told a little bit more of the Cenobite's and a tease into the history of things. Going back this far to truly bring forth a fantasy horror would be amazing. That's what turned me on to Hellraiser in the first place, not only because it was a unique horror movie, but the fact it did something none other have done or really recaptured. Now it's all about ghosts and exorcisms and shit. I hope this idea/movie sees the light of day at some point
You know, if they never make this into a live action movie, perhaps they can adapt it for an anime series or movie. A good example of the animation style that would easily work for it would be Ninja Scroll.
@@grilledleeks6514 I agree, but it is just an idea. Not a horrible one either. This whole story for a Hellraiser origin story, that has already had so much devotion put into it, deserves a chance. If anime is the only way it can be, it would at least get it off the ground. My only request is that Mr.H reads any narration for it. He is just amazing when it comes to that in general 😉👍😎
@@grilledleeks6514 What about castlevania..its very palatable even my old school comics teacher liked it (who hates anime style). when old heads think of anime they think of cringe early 2000's otaku shit but anime is more main stream now. 2d animation is dying in the west and I think its cool to breathe life into older series. Instead of making corny cgi movie with a low budget
Matthew Smith I disagree. Although Doug Bradley was an excellent Pinhead there is room for others to interpret and play with the character. To say there is no other actor who can give life to Pinhead is to put an end to potential.
The only flaw I can see here is that it seems to be entirely set in hell. Seeing hell with it's tribes, wars, varying areas, etc would be interesting but who is your protagonist? Who are you rooting for? Pinhead? Will he be like in Crimson Gospels where he tries to bring order to hell? Without someone to connect to, to put ourselves in the shoes of, we're left marveling at the horror of this alien dimension without a guide and it all just turns into interesting noise.
@@dr.manhattan6278 its great for a horror fan but if you're looking for funding you need to appeal to a broader audience. That means a relatable character and making Pinhead relatably human would ruin his mystique (in my opinion).

When the first the original movie Hellraiser came out there had to have been almost 20 people there . Watched it twice .Peace
I want more hellraiser... but the last try was just a gross-out disgusting movie. It's not about that. It's about temptations and desires and also ancient occult powers and things like that. Spit and puke are NOT what it's about to me. I dont know if people can really get the S&M from hell vibe.... everyone just goes to cheap and disgusting cliche stunts instead of that it SHOULD and COULD be!!!
You ever read Clive Barker? Zombie puppies try to feed on their decaying crippled mother, the main character gets fed filet of teenage girl ass, a skeleton crawls out of a toilet, some dude fornicates with a flesh wound in a woman's stomach, and that's part of one book that didn't take place in hell. It would unfaithful to the writer if it wasn't abhorrently graphic. I assume the second movie was like that cuz they prolly had a bigger budget
@@kimkillillasfuq8212 I guess you are right. They should make everything from now on the lowest common denominator spit and puke porn. @@kimkillillasfuq8212 The grotesque elements are totally necessary, I agree - what the most recent movie lacked was the content in between the horror scenes. With a series as popular as hellraiser I find it hard to believe whoever owns the IP couldn't crowd fund a decent budget for a proper reboot of the series akin to the origin story pitched in this video.
@@lsb2623 I think you're missing the point, it's not gore for the lowest common denominator, it's gore for the guy who fucking wrote it because the dude is lowkey kinda fucked up
barry ! I’ve actually never thought of this lol....that would be a really good way to begin it off and then if they made its budget back. Then turn the sequel or whatever they plan on doing afterwards in Live Action
barry ! I have mixed feelings about that idea. I know many fans of HR, but wouldn't go out their way to see any Anime, unless it was Miyazaki or the like. Sure it should be Anime too, but there is no reason not to go all out on the live action version, if they can get it away from Dimension.... or get some funding for it because they get the right creative team for it, and it would be awesome when done right.... what they probable will never understand. nevermind
P Heresy yeah but see that’s the thing, having the movie based entirely in Hell would cost a huge budget to actually create the Hell world that the movie is based in, and instead of having it as like an anime, they could make it into something like the old Resident Evil CGI movies and they’d save alot of money doing it that way.
666ang I agree they wouldn't be so restricted they could go all out and also hopefully pick up a lot more fans along the way. Let's put it to Mr H and see what he thinks he might be the one to get the ball rolling he's got a bit of reach to put it to certain people if its a no then nothing lost buuuuut if its yes then we could have the next best hellraiser just waiting to be unleashed on old and new fans alike. Here is hoping a good go fund me to raise some of the starting costs to pay some people to do a short if successful then you never know what could happen and if not its good to dream.
barry ! Exactly man, so yeah hopefully he does see this and put it out there. I feel this would be a good beginning to this new generation and old Hellraiser fans also with Spiderman Into The Spiderverse doing so well and being animated. I know it has nothing to do with this but it is a really good example lol
Everything looks so over designed that this looks like Hellraiser as designed by Ed Boon! Also no monster in history has become "More Scarier" by having every aspect of it's background and motivation exposed and explained. Monsters are only scary when they are mysterious, once you know what a monster has for breakfast and know how it likes to spend its Thursday afternoons, then the monster has been robbed of all of its intrigue and menace. Monsters benefit for vagueness, whereas human villians benefit from having their motivations and desires explored. An example being The creature from The Thing is terrifying because it's motivation and desires are as indeterminate as its physical form. Wheras Tony Soprano becomes more intriguing the more we get to learn about him, as his motivations and background inform his current behaviour, but he still has a level of intrigue to an audience as his Sociopathic mindset is alien to most people.
Yes, knowing a monster's shoe size does nothing but learning that it's a foot soldier and brings greater doom. However for me Hellraiser has to have an interesting story, not answer every question
Not all monsters are alike. Otherwise it becomes all he same. It's just there and it chases you. ORIGINS is a mythos set in Hell. It's an epic saga of horror fantasy. Not your typical Boo! Aahh! Fanfare. I do understand what you mean though. A lot of horror tends to over explain. But Origins is a chronicle.
SpeedBoost.... I don't agree with any of this (well maybe the Tony Soprano part). But I can't even think of an example where revealing back story, and motivations detracts, except for when it is done poorly, which is most of the time. The statement made in your comment must be the new law in Hollywood governing Horror stories about Monsters. I have heard this many times before, I guess people really believe it. For example: Beowulf. Grendel is scary as fuck... then Beowulf ends up at his home and meets his mother,. ... it gets even scarier. An what about Leatherface? He got way scarier after we got to see where he lived and met his family. If it was just him chasing people around with the chainsaw, it would have left very little impression. I have seen many movies about "boogeymen" with characters that are thinly rendered and become a vehicle for jump scares... and sometimes snarky humor. I don't think we are going to be told that Pinhead's motivation is that he needs to sell more magazine subscriptions, so he can go to summer camp.... that would suck... but really, I can't tell you how many times I've watched a movie where I am thinking ... wow... this is starting to get interesting...THE END... Credits roll. Especially in the last 2 decades, not so much before that. with respect.
@@pheresy1367 except Beowulf wasn't intended to be adapted to a movie but it was an ancient tale that was written as they used to told it. For example every single Grimm's tale isn't written with the intent of the last minute plot twist, the shoking relevation etc... in that case that was more about the moral of the story and what the protagonist'd do in order to save himself, not about who is the antagonist, which usually is described since his first appareance. Hellraiser's fortune was ENTIRELY based on the mystique that surrounds the Cenobytes, their lack of rage and purposes... this new approch is going to bomb badly.
@@scaccu Well I'm no expert. My point of view comes from my own personal observations. It seems to me, there is plenty of room to explore the mystery that deeply teased us in the first installation (be it movie, or the novella). As we come closer to the characters in the story, another layer of revelation is shown which then opens the door for more questions and possibilities....and .... also opens the door to ruin everything, if the creators don't "get it". When I saw the first HR, and then the book, I recognized that this was a story never told by Hollywood before. There was something about it that rang true in a way that I didn't have words for. A story like this has to be told by someone that understands how this world works, and how the players play out. I'm not entirely sure Clive is the only person that is capable of rendering it...or ...even if Clive is capable. or We can keep the Cenobites as a horror device that we never get to know anything about... and just go ahead and tell a different story that we've already seen a thousand times before. Creative visionaries want to tell their original story, while the producers with the money just want to tell the same old story that has always made money for them... This has been the classic conflict in movie making since the beginning of Hollywood. I picked the example of Beowulf, because it's the oldest story that we know written down in (Old) English language. It's a story about darkness, and terror, and about mysterious predators that can devour the strongest of the strong... and... can be seen metaphorically on many levels. That is a great story. That's the kind of story I would love to see HR continue as... Like LOTR, or GoT... only very different.... :)
There was always talk of an order a hierarchy to hell with angelic choosing to come down and play with us mortals via temptation and anguish. I would love to see the whole pantheon, rank and file! =D

My main gripe with the hellraiser lore is how it’s sort of become contrived in its use of religious themes or ideology.
I mean if you have read the Scarlet Gospels you see that the Cenobites are indeed in Hell, religious hell. But done so wonderfully, i loved that book.
Scarlett gospel came after books of blood In which there were no religious ties. After this last book I'd really want to say it's a ghost writer as it was so bad.
Hell is another dimension, and it's much scarier.
Exactly
I always imagined the cube to be a fresh portal into a fresh new pocket dimension when it was created by the Toy-maker.
Looks like an interesting concept of the Origins of Hell Raiser, gives more of a back story to how it all started. This woukd be a great film !
This would be so great for the reboot. I really like the webbing and the fungus spores on the decaying body. During Bloodline, they show the story of Ths Princess. It would be great to where she went inside The Labyrinth
Would have been a beautifully epic dark story
One of my favorite Pinhead lines: "What do you know of pain? I AM PAIN".
Lol when i saw the title i thought for a sec that the engineers from aliens had something to do with hellraiser 😂😂
I'd like to think that the gluttony demon from Pan's Labyrinth resides somewhere in Leviathan's Hell. :)
Very cool, I was always intrigued by the Hellraisser mythology. Hope it happens someday, Hr Giger would of been perfect for this.
Ina very 'positive' way ; the designs remind me of some of Wayne Barlowe's Hell designs, creatures and themes.
I like the ides and love the pictures. My concern is how to build a story around it. What are the stakes? What is the conflict? How do we as a audience relate?
So far Hellraiser works best as a subtle force. The consequence of curruption and bad decisions of individuals who seek something beyond that they will never be ready for, and a punishment for all their deeds of getting there. That's why none of the sequels work because they tried to make it into a slasher like Freddy. I think as a story the world of Hellraiser like a spider hidden in the shadows who the characters are unaware as they dance ever closer to the web through their misdeeds, vices, & ignorance. Also there still needs to be mystery and haveing everything spelled out and put up on screen leaves little to the imagination.
This absolutely amazing.
I'm a big fan of the first Hellraiser and the book, of course.
This seems like the best idea for Hellraiser, ever.
"And Clive Barker Wept"... good stuff!!!
Hellraiser origins would be a massive audience for horror fans as myself
A living statue... reminds me of Baphomet from Cabal/Night Breed.
I love night breed. They crossed night breed and hell raiser
Only makes sense, since they are combined in Clive beakers concepts
Barker I meant
They are somewhat in the same universe, right?
Love Nightbreed. so underrated...
This needs to be made! It would be amazing to explore the depths of Hellraiser lore and mythology 😊
It would be cool if the 7 deadlies and their devil references played a part. For example, Leviathan signifies the essence of what envy is.
They get sued by "Chronicles of Riddick." LMFAO
*Hellraiser fans:* We want Hellraiser Origins!
*Hellraiser producers:* Fuck you. Here’s Hellraiser Judgment! 😃
I must say the imagination of the artist is beautiful. Another interesting video thank you Mr H
Im sure if someone creates this its going to suck ass 😣 just like most horror films. Hellrasier 1 & 2 were unique & actually quite terrifying
Nice work on this video man, I was always curious about the lore of Hellraiser. An this filled a lot of wholes in the story for me.
I would need to wear my beer goggles to get it on with the Engineer.
I would have to be near death from alcohol poisoning from way too much vodka and not knowing where and who I was with.
It would have to be someone with presence. Like Idris Elba, or Cumberbach. I would still definitely stick with a British actor.
Doug Bradley is perfect as Pinhead. couldn’t really watch the other Hellraisers bc it didn’t feel right
Well it actually makes perfect sense you get a different guy to play the same character. Just like that shitty british show Dr. Who gives a turkey.
In the comics, Kirsty eventually gives in and becomes the next Pinhead.
@@bradames320 If I only had listened to that voice... they were painful, like siting at a childs play for 6 hours painful....
SO. MUCH.

Love to see this Hellraiser Origins movie with all this amazing concepts and art work on screen come to life....
Love the background music.
Me too. Compelling music was totally missing in the HR Judgement.
@@pheresy1367 does some one knows the name of the music?
I'm a HELLRAISER fan since a kid. This version is even more GROTESQUE! AWESOME
This looks so good incredible realy funny how they wont do this but they'll make tons of crappy sequels this would b like the force awakens of hellraiser this Needs to be made into film
Ey man. For me you are really the Hellraiser Highlord of Lore. Your output is unbelievable
Thank you dude
The Hellraiser movie would fit in perfectly in this time frame because it truly is Hell on Earth
i am the True Highlander That’s the horrifying part. It’s ultimately Hell on Earth. It makes u wonder how tribes like the Skinned and the Traders existed and functioned, being so horrifically tortured. Pretty disturbing and horrifying to think about.
@@celestialspartan1176 Yes you right and my original statement STILL stands this earth has truly gone to HELL!! !😊🔥😈

@@celestialspartan1176 i agree 💯 percent but it would expose this EVIL world for WHAT it is 😃 PEOPLE making packs with demons to fulfill their dreams!!!🔥😈
Thank you for putting together this.... I believe you did a great job.
It’s a shame it never happened or got made
I think it's beautiful. I'd like to see a story idea about a group that stumbles upon that idea of Hell.
I always wanted to see a physical form of the god of the labyrinth maker of the cenobites instead of just seeing the pyramid shaped levithane from the originals.its not a traditional hell so it's not Lucifer.but getting an origin on this would really be something to see
In the Boom Comics, Leviathan takes the form a a dairy delivery man. No joke. And he's just one of the many rulers of the many hells.
Sounds like a good way to softboot the franchise without disturbing the overall lore!
Grim Reaper I’m right there with u. This looked like it would’ve had a budget similar in amount to LOTR’s budget. Very ambitious.
Hahahahaha!! That he does!
@Megiddo Jones That (NEW) Pinhead design doesn't so......
I like the old uniforms better too
The old uniforms were a nearly perfect combination of s&m type wear and priestly robes
This one makes him look more like a barbarian from a fantasy table top rpg or something
Although I must say I did like the new tribes and the structures
Although Hammer worked perfectly for that role and looked great. Would never work as pinhead obviously, like you said, not a fan of the pinhead they showed.
imo it would make sense that the design looks more primitive since he's the first iteration of pinhead but i do think it needs a different design
When i was a kid it was the idea of the chains comming out of the box and grabbing you when someone solves it that was most chilling
Now this is awesome !
Real nice man! I would love to see that movie! Sound fucki’n fantastic! Love from Sweden
netflix should jump on this, make a series with got budget, completely faithful and gory
Hope the don't bastardize it with leftist political crap or SJW non-sense.
My faith in Netflix's potential for TV shows was rekindled after Punisher S1, Daredevil S3 and Altered Carbon. Additionally, Netflix would certainly have the vast budget required!
I think a reboot of this nature would be absolutely brilliant
I always felt hellriser was lovecraftian in scope
Why ?
Most above 100 IQ people do... and the rest can only fathom it in misplaced religious symbolism
@@WAX1138 Except you are wrong, and more than likely have read little to no lovecraft xD
Hellraiser anime would not be a bad idea especially as anime is getting more popular and with good style
no
not everything needs to be made into an anime
I'd love to see this become a movie or series. I agree, this origins/soft reset would be a great direction to take it all in.
Doug Bradley is the one and only Pinhead.
Nah
Matthew Smith I disagree. Although Doug Bradley was an excellent Pinhead there is room for others to interpret and play with the character. To say there is no other actor who can give life to Pinhead is to put an end to potential.
I would say doug defiantly set the bar of expectations very high. And its hard to reach such a bar.
It's a shame it never got passed it sounded awesome a fresh new & interesting take on hellraiser & I always wanted to see an origin story
I do admire how Barker's surrealism is somewhat influenced by both Paradise Lost and Dante's Alighieri's Inferno.
The other way around they are influenced by Barker work

I always got the impression the event Horizon copied hellraiser a little bit
Thank you for making this, I never knew there was a pitch for a Hellraiser origin story. Very intriguing to see the reenvisioned imagery.
Why is that a flaw? That's a great idea. ✌🏿
@@dr.manhattan6278 its great for a horror fan but if you're looking for funding you need to appeal to a broader audience. That means a relatable character and making Pinhead relatably human would ruin his mystique (in my opinion).

How can they make a new men in black spinoff yet not make this reboot!? 😞
Hollywood makes and remakes redo dodo movies over because people will watch and with Hellraiser they fell they wouldn't make as much money , that's why it should go independent and f Hollywood if movie was to be done it would kick major ASS . It would be awesome. The straight to home video sequels might be scaring a big studio from taking it on for a reboot, but I would go see it.

Do you this think they would ever do it as an anime movie could make it affordable to kick it off.
This is a great idea and concept that should be pushed forward to script and screen or even a series
I'm not entirely sure Clive is the only person that is capable of rendering it...or ...even if Clive is capable.
or
We can keep the Cenobites as a horror device that we never get to know anything about... and just go ahead and tell a different story that we've already seen a thousand times before.
It makes sense,chronologically.
I used to scare the BuhJesus out of my ex gothic girlfriend with the covers of Hellrauser comic books.
