Great interview....its cool how you just let brothers talk without much interruption. You feel like your at the domino table reminiscing about the good old days.. Compton Cats have a great sense of brother hood, Gangsta mixed with some Black power. My. Father grow up there before grams bought another house on the Westside. He always talked about Compton. L.A. love that Detroit funk all day!! OneWay Push and Pull Fancy Dancer Parts 1 and 2, Cutie Pie, Mr Groove, Don't Fight the Feeling, Can I, Wild Night. That "gangsta clap" groove sound pioneered by P Funk. Parliament Funkadelic headquarters were at United Sound Systems Studio in Detroit on Second Street where jams like Flashlight, Aqua Boogie, One Nation Under a Groove, Theme From the Black Hole, Big Bang Theory, and Not Just Knee Deep were recorded. Also George Clinton and Bootsy Collins produced Zapp's/Roger Troutman first two albums in Detroit at United Sound Systems Studio with hits More Bounce to the Ounce, So Ruff So Tuff, Maxx Axxe, and Do it Roger. All Crip Walking classics that gave a whole city/coast a vibe and sound they took and called G Funk but it's D-Funk from Detroit! Cali took the Motor City made classic cars and made Lowrider culture and played Lowrider oldies like old Motown soul classics Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and The Originals, Stevie Wonder etc. Detroit stand up....and to our shame Compton OG Honcho said they wanted to be like (Motor City) Detroit Murder City, murder capital in the early 70s and that was an underlying inspiration for the behavior that started popping in Compton. And Barry Gordy actually moved the Motown operation to L.A. in 1972 anyway. Detroit and L.A. got connect game....any real cat knows..

@@bighomiehandlebar7698 it's my hometown too that's why I'm all over it like this for realz! And the fact that L.A./Cali gets all the props for that sound is ironically a proud feeling yet unsatisfying because we don't get the credit of where it comes from..to those who don't really know. In that documentary about G FUNK music they should have really went into the Straight Outta Detroit element of it all with One Way, P Funk and United Sound Systems Studio on Second Street. Even The Ohio Players song Funky Worm was recorded in Detroit at Artie Fields studio on Woodward when they were on Detroit based Westbound Records and you see how the Cali loves that song, word to NWA dopeman. Straight Outta Detroit....

Kinda yes From a Blacc stand Point, there were a group of individuals who were rejected from claiming "baby avenues" they collectively formed Crips. It wasn't a situation where he created and others decided to join, it was collectively created and yes Trucc aka Raymond was in charge.

You can always comeback to fight again if you lose. There's no coming back when your shot dead..
Nowadays, Dudes comeback strapped and shoot to kill if he lose a fight..smfh!! Put the guns down and come from the shoulders wit it. We need to bring that back in action.. We are losing to many for this senseless war.

they genuinely hate each other. why should they want the other guy to come back to fight again. they want him dead because they hate him.
if someone whos drunk and speeding runs over your mother with a car for example, you don't want to fight him and you don't care for him to come fight you again. that's the kind of hatred they have for another person over an insult or whatever or challenging their machismo in any way. he has to go
