I was never much of a Batman fan, but because of your videos on Court of Owls, Death of the Family, and Endgame, I'm really starting to change my mind. I think I'll go buy Scott Snyder's whole run for myself and see how it stacks up to your amazing videos.
Dude the new 52 sucks buuuuuuut, I have every single issue of batman and aquaman for the new 52, trust me you will not regret reading these two new 52 titles. I still read them years later. Both runs are amazing!

Still not exactly what you'd expect from, "the worlds greatest detective," (actually pretty stupid in fact,) but the whole 3 Jokers thing is really just Morrison being over-clever rather again rather than just telling us a damn good story the way he used to, (7 soldiers was much the same,) and once again the rework and particularly tying it all in with Ra Al Ghoul and Vandal Savage, etc seem both contrived and more than a little bit silly to me. It didn't even come close to; The killing joke, not at all, not on any level and a couple of lame plot twists don't really make a great story and I somehow get a sense that Morrison has no real love left for or respect for these characters left these days and that writing has become, "just another job," to him. Which is a shame, he's done some brilliant stuff, although the Invisibles turning out be just a dream in the end, (seemingly simply because he had, "issues," with his old English teacher,) was about as lame a cop out as I've ever come across and completely spoiled one of the best, most original and inventive comics that I ever read and his Doom Patrol was even better, but all those are past glories now.
Couple things. 1. Alfred's hand was reattached, and that was directly referenced in the comic. 2. Joker found the Dyanisium when he fell down that cavernous hole at the end of Death of the Family. That's why he survived that fall, that's why he has a new face. It healed him.

I disagree with your observation of the Joker being a "buffoon" or a "goof". That was the Silver Age Joker characterization and indeed, he is still extremely silly but to me, the Joker has always been the greatest Batman villain. Even though villains like Bane, Ra's Ah Ghul, Two-Face, Penguin, Black Mask, etc. are capable of much more impressive feats, the Joker was always an extremely philosophical character and has always to me represented a dark reflection of Batman. Indeed, they are very similar. They are both normal humans who use nothing but their intelligence, instinct, determination and wit to rise above normal humans and ascend to the level of gods. They both suffered "one bad day" which led to them taking the roles they have now. However, from that one day, they drew opposite conclusions. Joker came to the conclusion that life is meaningless and random, there is no order but only chaos in the world. He became a reflection of that dark world. That's why in his eyes, he's the only sane one. The "normal" person is insane because they try to find meaning inside a meaningless world thus doing action that make no sense such as living and enjoying life while the Joker is "sane" because his actions are absurd in such and absurd world. It's why the clown motif works so well and why ridiculous schemes like Joker-fish fit so well. He makes no sense because the world makes no sense. Batman is just the opposite. He also realized from the day that his parents died that the world was chaotic. However, instead of accepting the chaos of the world like the Joker he choose the fight the chaos and try to find some underlying meaning throughout all the absurdity, and if he's unable to do that, then he'll create his own meaning and his own future. In essence, they represent the philosophies of Nihilism and Existentialism. Both philosophies accept that there is no inherit meaning to the universe but Nihilism takes this to mean that we should do do nothing and accept the futility of life while Existentialism posits that we must instead create our own meaning. The Joker is simply Batman if he accepted the absurdity of the world. Batman is simply the Joker if he chose to fight the Chaos instead of giving in. It is this absolute devotion to their philosophies, that allows them to exceed human bounds and become a villain that is so terrifying that even other, more powerful villains fear him and a hero that has saved the entire planet multiple time respectively. It is also their philosophies that draw them to each other in their eternal battle, each trying to prove the other wrong and never succeeding. Their "game" of crimes and imprisonment is both interesting and never ending because in reality, neither philosophy is correct, but neither is wrong either. The two forces are symbols for aspects that humanity encounter everyday. The Joker is a symbol for that dark par of humanity claiming that everything you do is meaningless, that you shouldn't adhere to the order that is forced by society but instead go with the natural randomness of thing. Batman is the part of humanity that fights, fights for order, for meaning, and for the future. The part that represents humanities acceptance for the harsh and uncaring world but nonetheless is willing to surpass that world and become something greater. As long as humanity retains these aspects, the battle of Batman v. Joker can never truly end, at least not with only one remaining. Neither can live while the other survives. There's more that I can go into such as the Joker's obvious intelligence despite him seemingly being insane and his possibly Marxist themes but overall, that is the beauty of the character of the Joker and his battle with Batman.
The short version for myself is like you mentioned with the silver age (wasn't that the one messing with Scooby?) since my modern time seeing him from Batman: Tas and on he's always intelligent to some degree whether it's just making his Joker gas to here. If anything I thought he was sometimes _too capable_ in his means extending over into toppling the whole JL compared to beating the whole Bat family with relative ease..... seriously, someone explain to me how he took out Jason "I literally use a gun and kill people" Todd?
fafaaf61 I agree, the joker is no goof. To say he is underestimates him, it's one of the things that make him so dangerous. People assume the joker will keep doing these schemes that will only push Gotham to the edge, so they keep playing along. That's why he can do things that people don't come back from, because they let him, because they're gullible.
Well said. I can see some reflections similar to Jordan Peterson's explanations, especially about Nietzsches Ubermensch project to find your own meaning after death of God to combat inevitable rise of Nihilism and Marxism and Postmodernism being embodiments of that exact Nihilism. Some of Joker schemes are almost nihilistic in that way, like most of the times he creates total equality and destroys all classes of society be making everyone equally crazy. Truly, a postmodern marxist dream. While Batmans eternal struggles to fix the world and stop the entropy and chaos are the core existential stories of individuals fighting a lose battle against infinite odds in a world made out mainly of suffering. You may be a small spec against infinite, never ending or stopping sources of obstacles (The Reality), but still, you are an individual who need to concentrate all of his efforts on fighting those and be strong, a cornerstone of your family, local society or even world.
Gregory Watson that's pretty much separate from the Gordon robo bat shit tho. He only appeared like a couple times and only had any major "screentime" at the ending battle. Because, Yes, Robin War was awesome and Robo bat didn't take away from tjay
can we take on minute to look at the fact that in the "death" of batman and joker in this comic batman have a joker card stuck in his eye just like joker had a beatarang stuck in his eye in the dark knight returns?
If it were me, I would have Batman use magic to fight Superman, since that works on everyone, and the Kryptonite ring has been used for the last 30 years, they need to give it a rest.
Besides magic there is red light, other types of Krptonite, psychic attacks, and the Lex Luther trick of over charging his cells to basically give him cancer.
NorybDrol82 Ron's actually covered a time that "Batman" used something other than Kryptonite. Superman: Red Son. Lights that the wavelength of a red star.
Actually Superman V Batman has got pretty lame; the Dark Knight Returns was certainly a masterpiece, (as good as it gets,) but even then their, "fight," was pretty contrived they just mucked about for a while and then, (Ta Da,) Batman whipped out the Kryptonite and that was that and if Miller's Superman hadn't been such a complete dick; complacent, patronizing and condescending then Bruce wouldn't have stood a chance. Look what he did to Ollie.
thought so too, that's why he asked the mobious chair for the final 100% truth about jokers nameand who he is.. Even after endgame batman still not 100% sure who he is so would explain why he asks the chair.
ShadowWriter45 it did. if Bruce Wayne Batman hadn't donned a new costume at the end of Superheavy, it would be easy to say that Darkseid War takes place directly after Gordon's batman run ended
I have to say this your content is the best been watching for atleast 2 years now and every video I finished beginning to end thank you for giving 110% effort on your content keep up the good work 😊
Hey rob check out issue 51 of this batman run, Snyder explains the hand thing in a pretty funny way, by the way love your vids man keep up the good work, ROB CORPS UNITE!
Man, that last image is so iconic. The knight slaying the dragon of chaos. So good :) Someones read up on their myths. Also... I loove the Dionysium / Joker thing!
Hey Rob, I know you've got your plate full with all of the stories and comics you want to cover, but would you consider covering Cyborg in-depth? I've never dug deep into him comic-wise and only got major exposure through the Teen Titans TV show (I don't really like him being a Leaguer and I think this is why). I'd love to know origins, best stories, and/or where he's at in rebirth (and if it's worth reading). I could find this stuff elsewhere, but love your videos (Hulk and Spidy playlists have been my faves). Thanks for the videos!
onlycasual1 Oh... prob not, then. Do you know why or remember any of the videos where he talks about it? I liked him in the TT show, but I'm a product of the *DC* AU and also loved John Stewart GL even though I've read/heard he's not that great in the comic-scape either.
I'm also a cyborg fan and don't see rob covering him any time soon. Maybe a brief overview before the Justice League movie. Cyborg's rebirth story line was good at first and fell off (FOR ME). His older story lines are much better. I suggest looking at comicvine if you want a good summary or guideline on getting started following a new character or their good story arcs. Here's a link to the cyborg starter guide. HAPPY HUNTING comicvine.gamespot.com/cyborg/4005-2388/guide/
Chad Glenn Thanks for the link and opinion! I hadn't even thought about Rob maybe covering him cause of the JL movie, nice catch. He kinda did it for Ragnarok and his Big Time/Superior Spidey vids are partly for Homecoming, so yeah, maybe. Even though I'd love to hear Rob cover the stories, I'll definitely check out comicvine, so thanks again!
I think his dcu run was pretty good to be honest, there was a really cool story in which he has to save a plane by hacking into just about everything because he was out if commission. You're gone need to read to find out.
I don't know how you can say The Joker is not too smart. He might not be on the level of Lex Luthor, but Joker is wildly intelligent. However, he is quite insane, making it difficult to organize his thoughts. He would never be able to pull off the things he has if he was stupid.
Actually, Batman still had his Justice League contingency plans in the New 52, we saw them during Forever Evil. The one he had against Green Lantern was a Sinestro Ring, and him trying to use it against Power Ring from Earth-3 is what brought Sinestro into the fray. Also, Alfred's hand was sewn back on in the last issue of Batman before Rebirth, using a special healing thread that Crazy Quilt had devised. A joke was made that it wasn't actually Alfred's hand, and it was restored. And we might be seeing Julia in All-Star Batman, since the current arc is very Alfred centric.
I've pretty much acepted that the whole Snyder run (Including the DC mandated crossovers in other books) is in its own continuity. It's always been pretty removed from the rest of the Bat titles. Batman barely even morned Damian in Batman, but had a whole arc devoted to it in Batman and Robin, for example. Snyder seems to have just been allowed to do his own thing.
This is why Scott Synder and Greg Capuldo(?) are genius! Wow! Philology, and yes I think he's more of "the trickster"--a universal mythological motif. Great analysis, thank you SO MUCH, you're the best and are essential. Love your work, so smart.👍
Can confirm, she is in Batwoman. Unfortunately, from the 2 issues I read it seems rather weak and I haven't seen Julia in anything else. I mean, they had a villain there whose main weapon was a knife and her name was.... Knife. Not kidding.
It's written by Margueritte Benette who writes DC Bombshell's. A fun little weekly short read. But each issue essentially boils down to either action or lesbian love drama both rather poorly written. I like it because you see fem superheros in the spotlight going around fighting and stuff. But the actual writing is pretty bland.
As usual; I still remember the announcement that DC were reintroducing Bat-woman and that, wait for it, she was going to be a stereotypical lesbian.................................................................................and? Well that was it basically. Wake me up if something interesting happens.
Siluvian the green and the red are extremely powerful and swamp thing and vixen are highly underestimated. Swamp thing is also an amazingly written character! good choice man:)
As I recall Alfred's hand was reattached at the end of the Jim Gordan Batman arc. It was acknowledged right around when Lucius Fox was going over how he saved Bruce Wayne's fortune (again), while Bruce did pull ups hanging from a sky scrapper's flag pole. So it's not really out of continuity. It was explained. Maybe not realistic, but this is the Universe Superman exists in so...
I actually got into ComicsExplained from watching the 1st end game videos, I didn't really understand too much, but I loved it when I watched, glad that I actually understand it now
If there's a drinking game for watching these videos, there's definitely gotta be one to have a drink whenever Rob says "X and X are really the one-two punch of comic books" how many people can be the one-two punch of comic books? lol. You've said it about Superman and Batman, Batman and the Joker, Superman and Lois Lane, Superman and Wonder Woman, probably more lol.
Duke Thomas was introduced in Zero Year, as the kid who rescues an unconscious Batman, he even introduced himself Alfred's hand was fixed in Superheavy/Bloom I don't remember the exact issues and page numbers, so I can't specify, but it's a start
13:10 I mean...this is Arkham Asylum we are talking about. I'm pretty sure if he sneezes hard enough he can find a way out. His villains never had any trouble.
This is a good parrelel to the secret six and everything happening with the joker who laughs. Its like joker was totally building him up to match the threat that was coming.
What kind of kills threats like the Joker for me is that heroes like Flash and Booster Gold can time travel without difficulty. Batman can just go to the past and find out where Joker came from. And if it ever came down to it, Batman can call for help whilst fighting the Joker. Superman may be a liability if Joker has Kryptonite on him, but Wonder Woman or Martian Manhunter can arrive almost as fast. Or Flash himself.
Rob i really like your videos, but one thing that's really holding them back is that you never give us the aftermath. Just a simple line like "batmans return is in xx story, check that out if you are curious". Because sometimes i watch videos of comics i dont read and at the end i'm always curious on where to go and u never give the answer. That little bit would do a lot.
I dislike newer Joker stories. The reason he was a great villain was he had no powers but always managed to come out on top due to his intellect, like Batman. Giving him powers discredits him.
I preferred Joker who was a broken man turned criminal mastermind. Now he's just psycho for no reason at all and evil for evil's sake. Just one dimensional.
@@justluxx2066 Oh I know. I'm just saying the Joker seems so flat lately. One of my favorite Jokers is the female from Thrillkiller, Bianca Steeplechase.
@@DarksaberForce well joker has always been static and one note I am talking about the main canon version he's the same in every appearance he does something he clashes with batman bruce locks him up then he escapes and does the same crap time and time again even in every media he's just the same crazy guy who kills people for fun and he's obssesed with batman for some reason his dynamic with batman is unquestionably interesting but other than that he's been pretty much the same since he started
Post-Crisis Reference: Crazy Quilt was seen in JLA Vol. 01 No. 34 'The Ant and the Avalanche' (Oct. 1999) during the Belle Reeve riot JLA Vol. 01, No. 34 was the prequel to the JLA: World War III trade paperback Please don't ask why I knew that off the top of my head
Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the whole 'Jim being Batman story', but if did give the awesome scene of Bruce and a mysterious guy (pretty sure Joker) having a chat next to a lake. The dialogue in the scene is just awesome since it feels like Bruce's and Joker's way of thinking almost switch from their usual one.
Sold. I'm getting this tomorrow. The Final, Epic Battle to Batman and Joker? Oh hell yeah... I already have Batman: Court of Owls and Batman: Death of A Family...
Hey, Rob! Long time fan here! Here's a suggestion: Post one Marvel and one DC video everyday. You can stick to your schedule of stories and all. But as many of us watch your channel for marvel content as others just jus fort DC. How about that?
wait a sec, people didn't already know that the joker wasn't a bafoon after death of the family? I mean, he kind've proved his intellect when he basiclly played this massive joke on the entire bat family in because he wanted the rest of the family to distance themselves from batman, and then faked his death. sounds pretty smart to me
From the reference of the Killing Joke talking about how they are going to kill each other to Batman Returns where they both nearly die by sacrifice exclusively against one another, this story incorporates a hint at both. I think I missed the part where Dick Grayson was saved and the joker toxin was cured, considering the Flash, Wonderwoman and Superman were also infected, I'd have to also assume the Joker released it city wide in three other cities besides just Gotham, otherwise, it wouldn't be a very good joke.
I'm leaving out bloom and epilogue since those will cause continuity errors once we get to Justice League Darkseid War.
ComicsExplained I was first

Even after endgame batman still not 100% sure who he is so would explain why he asks the chair.
ShadowWriter45 it did. if Bruce Wayne Batman hadn't donned a new costume at the end of Superheavy, it would be easy to say that Darkseid War takes place directly after Gordon's batman run ended
It does www.therealbatmanchronologyproject.com/the-dcnu/years-1-10/year-eight-part-2/ (scroll way down)
Gundam
I have to say this your content is the best been watching for atleast 2 years now and every video I finished beginning to end thank you for giving 110% effort on your content keep up the good work 😊
Endgame was by far the creepiest, and darkest Batman story iv ever read! Loved it.
He's said a few times that he doesn't dig Cyborg as a character
onlycasual1 Oh... prob not, then.
Batman...chews radiation gum.
Rob you're killing me! Can there be like a playlist or a list of the background songs you use?
Ummmm batman has also used magic and red solar radiation to deal with superman
Chandler Nguyen maybe so, but kryptonite is the most popular way
Wasn't Duke introduced in Zero Year? He was trying to figure out a riddle to stump The Riddler
Scott Snyder's joker is easily my favorite take on the character
I don't know how you can say The Joker is not too smart. He might not be on the level of Lex Luthor, but Joker is wildly intelligent. However, he is quite insane, making it difficult to organize his thoughts. He would never be able to pull off the things he has if he was stupid.
One of the best batsman comics ever. And as for your part Rob, one of my fav videos ever! Love the work man keep it up!
Batman : Orphan Collector.
Snyder seems to have just been allowed to do his own thing.
your old videos were good A cool intro a smooth experience and informative.
Snyder totally nails it
This is why Scott Synder and Greg Capuldo(?) are genius! Wow! Philology, and yes I think he's more of "the trickster"--a universal mythological motif. Great analysis, thank you SO MUCH, you're the best and are essential. Love your work, so smart.👍
And Gotham is the biggest character! Amazing writing. The best writing is in comic books today and that's so awesome.
I think I heard that Julia Pennyworth was going to be a part of the new Batwoman series. I liked her character a lot, I'd be glad to see her back.
Can confirm, she is in Batwoman. Unfortunately, from the 2 issues I read it seems rather weak and I haven't seen Julia in anything else. I mean, they had a villain there whose main weapon was a knife and her name was.... Knife. Not kidding.
Yep she's the Oracle to Kate's Batwoman
It's written by Margueritte Benette who writes DC Bombshell's. A fun little weekly short read. But each issue essentially boils down to either action or lesbian love drama both rather poorly written. I like it because you see fem superheros in the spotlight going around fighting and stuff. But the actual writing is pretty bland.
As usual; I still remember the announcement that DC were reintroducing Bat-woman and that, wait for it, she was going to be a stereotypical lesbian.................................................................................and?
Well that was it basically.
Wake me up if something interesting happens.
so whatever happened to Grail (Darkseid's daughter)? will they ever bring her back?
I like the Batman art/design in that comic, less hyper-detailed and kind of reminiscent of Miller. A bit too much gore, though.
Alfred ❤️
He protecc
He attacc
Most importantly

He bring all the snacc
Could you cover swamp thing please? I have recently started learning about him and he seems ridiculously powerful.
I'd vote for that one; although it's massively complicated; worth it also for first appearances of John Constantine as well.
Siluvian the green and the red are extremely powerful and swamp thing and vixen are highly underestimated. Swamp thing is also an amazingly written character! good choice man:)
HE CAN MAKE A DAMN TREE POP OUT OF HIS DAMN HAND HE CONTROLS FUCKING NATURE OF COURSE HES RIDICULOUSLY POWERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on hitting 1 million subs rob!!...you deserve it homie!!..just keep putting out your awesome videos for us my friend!!...congrats!
3 years ago still watching these in my sleep
The best thing coming out of DC rebirth is the best thing coming out of DC rebirth right now.
SilverSkiver Give it a Rest yeah?
that end... a single silent tear...
At the of snyder's run they explain that the hand was put on ice and reinstalled it on alfred
I actually thought Joker killed Alfred completely
"The Fact Remains" is the best thing coming out of ComicsExplained. I miss when Rob used to cut swaths. 😕
great summary & yes--they DID say in a later story that Alfred's hand was re-attached
@4:36 ayyy my boi Alfred hittin' that dab!
when superman showed up I got chills classical music started playing my head....it's about to go down
As I recall Alfred's hand was reattached at the end of the Jim Gordan Batman arc.
Simply love your videos. Keep up the excellent work.
I actually got into ComicsExplained from watching the 1st end game videos, I didn't really understand too much, but I loved it when I watched, glad that I actually understand it now
I love you're laugh it sounds like Dwayne Jonson's laugh only faster
That was Awesome. fantastic Narration
They are in different contexts of relationships
I would love some DC Classic Lobo.... Just saying, you won;t regret it.
joseph Loxton got any recommendations?
Sure thing, I highly recommend Lobo: The Last Czarnian, it's a great starting point. Also an exceptional story.
Batman as a martyr... that hits deep thinking of it like that
I've always loved the 'super-sanity' theory about the joker so this kind of story arc for him is brilliant
I love it that people are this into comics.
Endgame is the best thing coming out of Marvel NOW! right now
ComicsExplained Rebirth.
"You Girl's MINE NOW!!!" ....I'd Love to see that happen, then evolve into a fight. LMBO
CMNDR Leon I mean… watch the animated series😂
Got that Endgame Complete with the extra stories.
I know the the Watchmen are currently flirting in the DC books, but have their been any new developments with the "three Jokers" tease?
We need endgame as an animated movie with the same joker voice actor as the dark Knight returns one
Unscripted Rob Corp videos are the best thing coming out of ComicsExplained right now
Duke Thomas was introduced in Zero Year, as the kid who rescues an unconscious Batman, he even introduced himself
Alfred's hand was fixed in Superheavy/Bloom
I don't remember the exact issues and page numbers, so I can't specify, but it's a start
Rob Please cover more of the Amalgam Universe next time you need something to make a video on. I freaking loved some of those characters/stories.
Did you know that the Joker's mother's name was Martha?
*YDIDUSAYTHATNAME*
Kevin It's his mother's name....My bad
WHY DID YOU SAY THAT NAME????!!!!!?!
Chandler Nguyen Because I'm Batman!
*W H Y D I D Y O U S A Y T H A T N A M E*
How Alfred got his hand back is in Batman issue 51, just before Rebirth. That being said, loved Snyder's entire run. I even liked Gordon as Batman.
It's a shame we won't cover Supervheavy & Epilougue. I think it's a great end to an extraordinary run by Scott Snyder.
pigeon
this man is a genius
Dang it Rob every time I'm about to go out you always put out a video xD.
I love the fact that Bruce has two discs to place on wonderwomans head
@ComicsExplained, last time I checked, just FYI, Julia Pennyworth was with Kate in Batwoman, by the way you rock!!!
It's like watching Batman in a not-so-violent Crossed story.
during bloom, Alfreds hand looks like it was mended.
Alfred's Hand is reattached at the end of MR.Bloom.Rob.
This is my favorite Scott Snyder story…ever. Can u plz cover Gordon's run as batman too
I dislike newer Joker stories. The reason he was a great villain was he had no powers but always managed to come out on top due to his intellect, like Batman. Giving him powers discredits him.
RizenLink
And plot armor... Just like batman.
I preferred Joker who was a broken man turned criminal mastermind.
Now he's just psycho for no reason at all and evil for evil's sake. Just one dimensional.
DarksaberForce geeez have you not read the stories. There is multiply jokers so the Version you like Is out there just not in this story
Post-Crisis Reference:
Crazy Quilt was seen in JLA Vol. 01 No. 34 'The Ant and the Avalanche' (Oct. 1999) during the Belle Reeve riot
JLA Vol. 01, No. 34 was the prequel to the JLA: World War III trade paperback
Please don't ask why I knew that off the top of my head
You crazy for this one Rob ! Hah
Hey Rob! just letting you know that Julia Pennyworth is in the Batwoman comics now. Keep up the good work!
“That’s so cool”-Rob
If he was a god of chaos he would be a dr.fate villain
Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the whole 'Jim being Batman story', but if did give the awesome scene of Bruce and a mysterious guy (pretty sure Joker) having a chat next to a lake. The dialogue in the scene is just awesome since it feels like Bruce's and Joker's way of thinking almost switch from their usual one.
The kyrpyonite exception is in Injustice when Batman takes the super pill
Sold.
I'm getting this tomorrow.
The Final, Epic Battle to Batman and Joker?
Oh hell yeah...
I already have Batman: Court of Owls and Batman: Death of A Family...
29:26 Batman pulls a Tyson 😂
That is my absolute favorite Batman story
Love this channel!
I like the idea of a Joker that is actually as smart as Batman. I think that was what they were trying to do in the dark knight.
I think I missed the part where Dick Grayson was saved and the joker toxin was cured, considering the Flash, Wonderwoman and Superman were also infected, I'd have to also assume the Joker released it city wide in three other cities besides just Gotham, otherwise, it wouldn't be a very good joke.
great video! keep up the great content!
but where did your intro go??
superman vs bane. superman wins. bane vs Batman. bane wins. Batman vs superman. Batman wins. how?
