Tbh V3's ending was a shock to me and I'll never forget the first time I saw it. Took a while to get over it lol. I thought it was kind of a cool plot twist. But at the same time it can ruin the entire series if you get too deep into it. Idk, I have mixed feelings about it.
:)
I honestly am more just confused by the logistics of it, more than whether it’s good or bad.
It really boggles my mind when people say V3's ending ruin the entire series cause V3's ending is one of my favorite in any game ever
So please, can you explain how the ending ruins the whole series? cause I really don't see how
@@m4shsmash8 Well, the concept of "everything is fiction" can cause sort of a reality check and sense of emptiness about everything that happened in Danganronpa. All the time you spent with everyone, all the class trials, all the killings. It just feels sorta sad, y'know?
I see your point and I completely understand why someone would like such an ending. Like I said, I actually kinda liked it myself. But at the end of the day, everyone has a different perspective. This is just mine.
@@simplynolifer
I mean, I kinda get why people would feel that way but like they are already fiction to begin with. like were you imagining the first 2 games to be real or something before that reveal?
And, isn't that the point of the ending? that even if it was fiction it's still worth caring about? that fiction can change reality? so in reality V3 isn't invalidating the first 2 games. in fact it's telling you that even if it was fiction it still mattered
I espically don't see it affecting the first 2 games when most of V3 almost has no connection to them other than similarities
And isn't V3 supposed to be some alternate universe thing? so if it bothers you that much you can probably think that it's just an alternate universe where the first 2 games were fictional. especially when we don't have a concrete answer.
But for me I like the ending the most for it's commentary on the entire series and fiction itself. I like that they said screw milking the franchise and gone with this instead. I can see why people won't like that but I don't get the point of it ruining the entire series
I love V3 but I hate the ending, that doesn't mean the ending ruins the rest of the game let alone the rest of the series. It's really dumb to just jump in and annoy people just because you don't like the ending, too. People have their opinions and you have your own.
Yeah people need to chill. They should annoy others because of it.
I dislike V3’s ending, but because of all the lore they had built up in that game was thrown out the window, it also kinda felt like a whole middle finger to the fanbase. If I’m being honest it was also pretty cliché. This hasn’t made me hate the series as a whole though, but it was a major disappointment because V3 was my favorite out of all of the games in the series
The only thing I didn’t like about v3s ending is that Tsumugi was the mastermind. I liked her and it made me sad that everyone had to stop trusting eachother
I'm a Danganronpa fan but I think that everyone needs to grow TF up lol
Yep
Agreed
Fr
Yeah
yea
I honestly feel V3 had a good plot line, i do think the tsmugi being the mastermind was just probably a bit rushed ,but its overall nice with it basicaly stating the meaning how fictional characters chan affect real people. I also *think* it sorta introduced something new with the hole maki having feelings for Kaito.
I really hope they make another game or anime or spin off game or even manga that shows us what happened to the remaining survivors after stepping into the outside world 😫
I think DR1 and V3 endings are neutral
UDG and DR2 endings are really good
Danganronpa 1 and 2 aren’t even confirmed to be fake.
Tsmugi was manipulating the characters from the beginning of the game. The introduction to the game showed how the characters really are, so the backstories for them that Tsmugi gave are pretty much confirmed to be fake.
With this knowledge, can we really believe what she said about all of them being made up? And they did hint at the end that Tsmugi was probably lying about the events of danganronpa 1 and 2 (3 and ultra despair) being fake. I think it was implied that they were based on real events, which is probably the case. I mean I’m not sure, thats what I got out of the ending. Most importantly, I think the games goal was to disconnect you from all of the other ones. It wants you to think of v3 as its own game, separate from the original story. If you can think of it like that then the ending isn’t actually bad at all. Thats just my opinion
I personally didn't like the V3 ending, but it was like 5 years ago, it's not a fresh wound anymore and y'all should get over it. This isn't like Mass Effect 3, nobody's going to change the ending because you guys didn't like it.
the ending is ambiguous just like the other two main line games. People just tend to believe the "bad" option. I personally believe Tsumugi lied
personally I didn't like V3's ending because I felt like all the characters were just wasted. especially because Danganronpa 1 was actually really interesting and it would've been a good game/anime if they had just made Junko the mastermind and didn't make any more games. howeverrr, it doesn't ruin the WHOLE ENTIRE series. plus, you should appreciate the ending and be glad it wasn't actual shit. they could've not made a ending at all (sorry to sound like your mom) but even though I didn't really like the ending I still liked the characters, executions etc..
I actually really love V3 and I don’t mind the ending. But I think people need to calm down and not make it such a big problem.
Fr tho...its still such good game!!
Idk to me the ending wasn't the only thing I didn't like about V3. Personally, I really liked the atmosphere of the first game and was hoping V3 would stick to that. They should've flashed out other characters more, instead of focusing on Shuichi and the relationships. The pacing of the story started good, but it felt stale after chapter 2. The FTE of V3 are the weakest in the series as they didn't change my view on most of the cast. It's would've been better if the team had more time to add more details but, eh, I can't complain.
I think the reason why so many people back in a day wanted the sequel to V3 is because it's premise needs to stand a test.
Here's a fun little thing people can do if they don't like the V3 ending... Just ignore it. That whole story they were trying to tell is over, and it will not have any impact in any possible future installments. So if you didn't like that ending, you can just make a better ending in your headcanon
Here's betting on this comment aging like milk with the next game being a direct sequel.
I love V3 AND the ending. It made me feel empty when I finished it, but that just goes to show that the story was effective and engaging
i don’t rlly like v3 in general (the only thing i really like are some of the characters and the the music) but i think people need to just chill
Hey, Great vids Mandy :)
Thankssssss :)
V3 was my favourite! I always disliked 1 or 2 characters from the previous 2 games, but for V3 I loved every character (some a little less than others though) and thus the hate is pretty sad
Your not a loser Dandy your awesome! Honestly V3s ending is not my favorite but it is my second favorite. The reason being that it gives players and fans a good brainteaser. It allows us to decide what we believe the end is plus it opens a door to more fan created Danganronpas. After all the moral of the game is what you believe is truth and lies so as I usually say haters just need to get a life. Also as a side note the monokumas Dungeon that you get after beating the game is awesome and doesn't deserve the hate it gets
Unpopular opinion I liked the v3 ending and how it almost explained how creators see us I think tho I am not sure of that so sum I pretty much liked the plot and ending of the v3 but its not my favorite either
Same
V3 is probably my favorite Danganronpa game, and part of the reason for that is because of the ending. That does not mean that I don't understand that people are displeased with the ending, but the outright hate the ending or the entire game, or even the whole franchise is just shortsighted if I am being generous. I also feel like V3's ending had an actual message behind it over "hoping" people in to submission.
I love V3, it's my favorite Danganronpa game mostly because of the characters, and I was really shocked when I first saw the ending. Not even mad or disappointed, just shocked. It was probably because I didn't really expect the "everything is fictional" plot twist and had no idea how to react to it.
Over time though, I ended up liking the ending because of what it represents
I’m re-writing V3’s ending for my series where it a bit more like DR2’s ending and will have Kaede and Shuichi be around for the Hope arc in the anime.
the thing is, tsumugi could have been lying. the ending of v3 is up to the interpretation of the player. the whole game has a theme of truth vs lies, and the ending is no exception.
When are we getting “people who don’t have a strong opinion on danganronpa are completely neutral at this tweet…”?
Great video btw, personally I loved v3’s ending but I understand why people didn’t.
Imagine Monokuma makes a new hopes peak academia school and then the old characters which died are alive and are now playing..
theres a series called redemptionronpa that's exactly like that
it's really good!
it's on youtube btw, just look it up if you wanna watch it :)
*sigh* everyone twitter is overreacting today again. I wish twitter would just calm down.
I love the Ending of Danganronpa 53 and I understand what is tried to tell us. I personally are more on Tsumugi side than Shuichi's because I can relate to her.
I found V3's ending fine and I liked the final trial. V3 isn't like the best game but it's alright for me. Some of y'all just need to relax a bit- but then again it's TWITTER!
Waa waa😭👶 v3 ending was bad👶😭 waa waa
Who cares, it's a good game
Although this won’t do anything let’s just try our best to get the fandom to ignore the haters they’re just as toxic as us
I own V3 on Switch & PC, but I saw the ending and never got past chapter 1. Wishing they would have released Ultra Despair Girls on Switch rather than V3. As UDG is my favourite Danganronpa game, and would have fit Switch better.
First?
I do dislike the ending of v3 but I do believe that remnants of despair as well as the killing school life and the neo world program did exist and choose to trust in my evidence which really is how one handles anything in danganronpa
half of those comments are just pointing out that V3 itself is a bad game, not exactly hating danganronpa as a whole but spesifically V3...which is honestly Very fair it's a game I'd personally prefer was never made (and before anyone assumes, no Its not because of the ending)
(Also trust me almost every game on that twitter account has a fair few of comments disliking the featured game)
Hai
Jeez Twitter is really THAT Bad?
Second
Your actually 4th
The Drv3 ending has gave me alot of theorys on it
Because monokuma breaks the 4th wall alot like everything was fake or maybe all the characters are in a vr world but we dont know fully because (kiibo theory) and the end just faded out to white we never really saw anything other then the broken buildings and characters..... kiibo might be alive or intact since hes well robotic if we had a second ending like dr 1 we may have seen what would happen but the teacher of class ?78? She died but shes in a movie theater so maybe shes in a timeline where shuichis in
The ending has grown on me over time, but my only caveat to that is the fact that makes the distasteful parts of the series somehow feel even worse. Like, you're gonna put incest into the game three times over, as well as. That entire announcement with Monotaro and Monophanie that was straight-up a scene of abuse and that's supposed to be funny or something?? Feels a bit wrong when you're gonna make the end to your game just one big point about how fiction can affect reality both positively and negatively.
As a disclaimer, I do love the series. I just feel that I have to point out the bad as well as the good in things I enjoy.
I honestly like the ending. The plot twist was great even tho the master mind was obvious. I can't believe how one sided people can be. Like so what if it was all fake? GET THE POINT THAT THE GAME IS TRYING TO GIVE YOU. Like if people don't like the game, sure i don't mind. It's they want to see more killing games there's loads of great fan games out there. It just gets to me when people miss the point.
A lot of people misunderstand the games ending and take Tsumugi's word as gospel which really bothers me because the entire game is antithetical to that.
Personally, i liked the ending tbh SPOILERS and rambleing
I played it right after it was revealed that kokichi died and i was pretty much done with everything lol, i played though the ending and the moment nagito appeared i wasnt rreally paying attention anymore tbh. But in general, forced myself to finish the game quickly.
Anyway, i liked the ending, it was a nice way to end the mess (affectionate) V3 was. It certainly was a shock for me, esp since i really liked tsumugi (still do tbh). I personally feel like the debate between tsum and shuichi was a bit jarring, since all of them (exept tsum and maybe kokichi later on) didnt know that they where fictional, but also real?
Iirc, the premise of discussion was if shichi and friends could change the viewers opinion that they are real, but we have to keep in mind, that in v3, they are real people (as in, 3d living breathing humans) so correlating it with our (in our world) discussion about fictional 2d characters doesnt really work (imo, i am sorry if i missunderstood what you where implying)
I personally feel, a good Interpretation of the ending is more abiut fandom obsession? And looking at the history of dgr fandom, i feel like there is a point to make. Since so many people got obsessed w 1+2, the gameshow was a (logical) next step in their world? Like, here people who kin hard exsist, who want to make a dgr gameshow, who did do fucked up shit in the name of the characters they liked (or pretended to, in case of the nagitokinnie finger incident) so i feel like its more a critic on how we as a fandom are working with (content in general but also) a medium like dgr, we want to be a character in there we want to see the blood and gore, we want to see the twist villain and if we dont get it, the game is boring, unoriginal, not worth your time, which is kind of funny considering the shit the v3 ending gets lol
Rant finished ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ
Crazy ass plot twist kinda cool and funny tho
Ahh. Darompa. From dranrompa 1 through 4, all great games with insane “visuals”
v3 was my favorite but i hate the ending tbh
I Disliked almost everything that V3 Did, but I aint gonna pick on those who disagree.
same
V3 fell into the trap most modern writers do of trying to "outsmart" the audience by giving the us a lot of vague clues and straight up red herrings, only to hit you with an "A _HAH"_ when they finally reveal the twist. Because they're oh so clever, and we're oh so stupid for never figuring out the twist that we didn't even get the _chance_ to conclude for ourselves. It's not as obnoxious as _other_ examples, because Danganronpa is already proudly stupid and you're supposed to know that going into the third game imo, but I definitely feel like the tension I was feeling got instantly deflated and all my time speculating on fake clues was wasted.
Like when tsumugi was insisting that kaede had a secret twin that is the mastermind
Am I one of the only people who doesn't hate the ending of V3? I mean, maybe it's because I like to think of Danganronpa to run on Multiverse Theory in order to say stuff like Danganronpa IF or the 4koma series are canon, but I actually found v3's ending to be pretty cool.
I'm very neutral on v3's ending.. I don't love it, but I don't hate it.
I love Danganronpa! I just dont like the fandom and ships, its too toxic 🤮
It's a dumb thing that is going on
just because shuichi had a point doesnt make the ending any better in my opinion.
That's fine, but my point was that everytime I see people mention the ending, they always forget what the protag is saying and what his point is, whether people like it or not is up to them but the fact so many people just ignore in my opinion what is the whole point of the ending is just annoying especially when people start mass reporting the game like on steam reviews for it
There is 0 reason to hate danganronpa the ending makes me mad but only because it made 0 sense and was lazy in my opinion why bother making danganronpa v3 if the ending is self contradictory I love v3 but nothing justifys the ending but I've decided not to judge it because I heard a rumor that the creator plans on making a 4th game and if true could fix it and if so I'm wasting time hating for no reason
drv3 wasn't the best game out there, but i don't think the game deserves the hate it gets for it. just because a game isn't "good" doesn't mean that fans of said game deserve the hate they get.
at the end of the day, it's just a game. danganronpa has more issues to it than the ending. i find the argument extremely petty if anything.
Only problem I had was that Tsumugi, out of everyone, was chosen to be the mastermind and an Ultimate Cosplayer and looks like your stereotypical book reading nerd.
Whenever I see her I keep getting her wrong because she looks like that
i kinda just don’t like a lot of V3
I've hated an ending before, where it made everything about it worse. Wasn't V3 though, it was this anime called Fushigi Yugi, the ending was utter nonsense though it has been quite a while since I've watched it. So V3's ending didn't bother me, if it had been "last humans on the moon thing" I would've definitely hated that more, but the open ended vagueness of V3 while not ideal grew on me and I also appreciate the message that fiction can change the world.
