Personally, my headcannon is that V3 is a simulation, like DR2. Except its a gameshow. You sign a contract explaining that you’ll lose your memory temporarily until you exit the simulation, aka die or survive to the end, you will feel pain, you will get ptsd, and you will get free therapy afterwards. First 5 people that die win nothing but of course they recieve the therapy, which is a default reward for participating. So Tenko and everyone who died after her wins something besides therapy. Except Kiibo, hes an AI. We gotta have at least one AI in there who actually dies, like Chiaki. He kills himself cuz he wanted to get rid of having to do his purpose, being the cameraman. It also explains why he kills himself in V3 better than anything else. Meaning he actually did kill himself for a reason. Anyway, the later you die the better your prize, so Kaito would get the best prize out of the people who died. But the survivors get the best prizes. I don’t know what prizes they’d get, I don’t know how gameshows work. Thats the gist of my headcannon so far.
Wow, i actually headcanon the same/a similar thing! The only few differences are that they go to a special place after the game where all the people from 1,2 and v3 are living, because they don't want to get recognized in the outside world (they can still leave whenever they want but most of them choose to stay with their friends, since many don't even have a family or a place to stay). Also i headcanon that they are still their fictional selfs (since Tsumugi said there's no going back, but that might've been a lie), but since noone is writing a storyline for them anymore or brainwashes them with flashback lights, they slowly develop their own personality and morals and so on. I made it like this because i want to write fanfiction to about them just being happy and i don't want to write about their pregame personalities since i know nothing about them and they didn't seem too nice, either. So yeah, your theory is amazing!!

Fuyuhiko thinks Peko doesn't remember that he used to go around telling people she was his girlfriend when they both were toddlers, so he never mentions it, but she secretly does.

4. Yuta says he doesn't like donuts, but that's a lie he made up so he could let Aoi have his share of the box. Aoi was suspicious at the beginning, so he had to convince her by starting to order bagels whenever they went out for donuts. As a result, he ended up disliking bagels.
5. Fuyuhiko thinks Peko doesn't remember that he used to go around telling people she was his girlfriend when they both were toddlers, so he never mentions it, but she secretly does.
gundham was a warrior cats kid (as many of the books have had japanese translations, so he would be able to access them). he gave stray cats warrior names and still thinks that if he were a warrior cat, his name would be "darkstar" (because of course he's the clan leader).
