To little honor is given to the gem who co-wrote this movie and directed it. She even plays in it. Her name is Bonnie Hunt and she is the one playing the sister. I think she is a comedic genius and this movie was very well written and directed.

Several of her family members have small roles in the film as well. The boy who takes care of the dog is her nephew (How do I look? Tall). I actually met her once and like a dorky fan I mentioned how much I loved this movie. She was super kind and down to earth.

My former boss is a cardiologist and his wife is a nurse practitioner specialized in heart transplant.
In some cases she needs to get the heart from a donor within 6 hours then lock it into a case with ice
and fly back via a helicopter to a surgery operating room full of surgeons. When one family's loss and
selflessness can help to save another person's life, she says, that's the meaning of her job.

Something my sisters and I love about this movie is all the somewhat random bits of humor that are found in everyday life. It's like what you were saying about side characters. One of my favorite moments is when Bob gets his truck back from the valet driver when he makes his getaway from the disastrous blind date, he has to move the seat way back because the valet driver was so much shorter. Such a simple moment that isn't important to the story at all, but it gives the movie a sense of reality because we've all experienced the need to adjust the seat in the car after someone else drove it.

My wife and I saw this movie in the theater. We walked out in complete agreement that David Duchovny and Minnie Driver were good, but they both received an absolute masterclass in acting from Carroll O’Connor, Robert Loggia, Eddie Jones, and William Bronder.

The leading man is David Duchovny, also seen in the comedies "Evolution" and "Zoolander".
The best friend is Bonnie Hunt(who alsodirected the movie!), well-known for her voice work in films like "Momsters, Inc.", "Cars", and "Zootopia".
This film was a beautiful finale to yhe career of Carroll O'Connor(Grandpa Marty).
Oh, ad the Sinatra song you were thinking of was "Fly Me To The Moon".

This movie takes place in Chicago and another fun fact is that Bonnie Hunt (she plays Megan) actually wrote and directed this film. A similar movie I think you girls would enjoy is “A Stranger’s Heart” it’s a Hallmark movie made in 2007.
