I wish I had a class like this back when I was dancing. We were just told to go by the feeling and then get the placement corrected as we went along, such as what to do if the ribbons don’t stay up or the shoe heel keeps slipping off, almost like using a clunky help file or referring to the FAQs. To learn darning the teacher brought a few pictures to class and we had to figure it out-embroidery class sure helped. Used the same stitches darning my point shoes as those for a beanie or baby’s cap. This was all before handphone and even the Internet so I am pretty ancient!
I’m confused she’s telling some people that where they sewed their ribbons was wrong but what if that spot works for them? And if one persons foot arches more then you might have to put it in a different place. No hate I love this studio I’m just wondering about that. ❤
That other incorrect way shouldn’t really work for them it looks like it could cause pain towards that ankle and it doesn’t make you foot look like an extension of your leg like it’s supposed to
@@Chelseyandfam But there arch could be different and very archy so they might need their ribbons lower. And it will still look like an extension if the shoe is still tight to there foot.
First of all, mad respect to MBA for sharing all these tips and knowledge for free!❤
I'm translating "a little bit of chaos" as "Felipe will be in the video"
Lol, what type of reputation is this 😂😂😂😂
This video will be iconic nonetheless. Mrs Irena giving us all plebs a tutorial... Let that sink in.
I’m about to start pointe so I really need this video

Can't get over she sewed her point shoe to her shirt 🤣 how did that happen 🤣
😂😂😂😫ma dopo l hai scucita?
The way I learned is to sew behind the seam towards the heel. Which is exactly what y’all are saying which I find so interesting!!
This was realy helpful and inspioring. I hope, that next year I will sow much better

I think the correct one was demonstrating that the ribbon should be sewn closer to the arch of the foot, rather than at the ankle

@@Chelseyandfam it’s not the ribbons making it look like an extension of the foot it’s the shoe.
Very helpful. Thank you. :)
