I have an OSS suppressor and it works great having the flow through design not putting any gas back in face.

I’m going to have to look into it. I wish I was a wealthy man, I’d gladly help people move here who value the traditional ways of life. We’re getting to where I don’t know how much longer we’ll enjoy the freedoms we have because so many people are so willing to give it up. It’s absolutely mind blowing to me.

The MK18/Eotech/LA5, angle grip and surefirelight was my setup as a team leader in Afghanistan. Ever since I got out I haven’t been able to afford to clone my service rifle lol. Also extended charging handles/ambi handles suck ass humping your rifle around at night over long distances or fast roping because they tend to push the rifle out of battery when rubbing on your kit. RLTW
Lol good job my man. I don’t have a mk18, I was too poor to buy everything at once so I built an 11.5” pistol with a 1200 dollar, good enough to fire a round without any sights budget. The gun store even gave me the trigger and flash hider for free to save money. Then I slowly upgraded her. I have so many of similar upgrades now, 2 grand later. Same trigger, charging handle, safety selector as yours. Put dd fixed irons on it, put a dead air 3 prong flash, voltor A5 system, I did a lot (optics, light, etc). My only complaint was putting a BCM MCMR 10” rail. I should have went with a Quad rail for one important reason. That dang gasblock heats up and without a bunch of expensive railscales I haven’t been able to shoot comfortably. Also the quad rail is so damn sexy. This new contemporary slick look on guns is cool and has its place, a reason the military switched. But quad rail aesthetics scream I get poon.

On mine, I installed the Franklin Armory Binary Trigger, Eotech holographic sight, Eotech G33 magnifier, and of course…what MK 18 is fired without a decent magazine setup. I use a double mag set up with the attachment. The Mags are Coyote colored so it contrast with that black/tan look. The only accessory i’m holding out for is a suppressor. Won’t officially get one until the U.S. Supreme Court rules that it’s not an NFA item and doesn’t need to be tracked. Right now a few big cases are about to hit the court and hopefully it turns out well. If you haven’t noticed, lots of videos out there saying it’s a great time to buy suppressors…it’s not. The ATF only shortened the wait times because they also feel it’s close to being unregulated soon. This gives them more money and puts as many people on the list as possible. So just like the PS5 and the scalpers, just wait this one out. It’s worth the wait.
All my LWRCs came with that stock (the full size one, which is still tiny). I'm surprised there was no mention of the quality of the polymer used. It's uniquely head and shoulders above any other stock I've used.
LWRCI is also one of the few manufacturers that make everything in house too. Unlike some others who will have pins, bolts or other parts contracted out and they just assemble it. LWRCI in my opinion is the best value in AR15 and I don’t own one.

My Mk18 is my favorite rifle by far. I did choose the Geissele SSP trigger instead of the 3 Gun because it just feels better on my trigger finger. I don't know if I can bring myself to get rid of the RIS II, but man you might be changing my mind on that. Great video!
Mine is setup very similarly. My upper is a PSA with an FN 10.5 CHF barrel and Geissele rail with pinned gas block. Aero M4E1 lower with radian selector and SD3G trigger, SBA3 with the split fix. SD-3G is my favorite AR trigger. EOTECH and OSS can for me.
Even though as you mentioned Colion, some of us would RATHER have and prefer the AWESOME, NEVER out-dated RIS II rail..you’ve ‘spec’d’ it AS YOU wanted it, which is what REALLY counts. Great vid. Great content great view of the mk18, if I had a MK18 I would add a 12.5" barrel, change and the rest pretty much as you did, and add a trigger, to where I could select between semi and forced reset or binary, but it would have to be selectable or a very low pull and super fast reset, especially it being a CQB firearm
I would get a SOLGW M4-76. A 13.7'' bbl pinned to just past 16'' with an excellent practical muzzle device that can also accept keymo. Also the extra velocity makes much more sense for the LPVO+dot setup. Pretty much the most compact AR rifle setup. I love some 14.5 lightweight, but that 13.7 felt amazing!
Had a Surefire Taclight similar to yours on my rifle on my 3rd deployment to Iraq 🇮🇶. Currently on my fourth deployment and when I get home I plan to expand my collection to have some rifles with similar purposes like yours. Also moving to Houston, Texas area and would love to meet and shoot at a range together one day. Also love the fact you are so eloquent when describing the 2nd amendment rights to the public.

For people dealing with gas to the face from your suppressed AR just use red RTV to seal the CH and receiver gap. It will work a million times better then any gas busting CH
I too, feel like my mk18 is my go to, rifle, I've upgraded the trigger, sdc( geissele)changed the stock bcm( mod o), same rail, t2, modlite phlv2, vert grip, love my mk18
I'm trying to inventory what is left of the Mk18 -- upper, lower, BCG, barrel, gas block, gas tube, buffer and tube, mag release, bolt release, ejection port door, forward assist, and maybe a few springs. It's difficult to call it a Mk18 anymore.
Switching everything on it especially the quad rail no longer makes this a MK18, you could’ve built a SBR from the ground up and ended up with the same rifle
DD's Butt Stock is perfect and recognizable. I went with a smaller low profile foregrip (Magpul). The milspec trigger is fine. The charging handle doesn't work well when suppressed therefore the Gas Blocker handle is a good option. 👌

@@poolee77 yea my mk18 has the quad rail and I’m not gonna change it at all, I haven’t even got to make a video on mine yet because I wanted to get 4 or 5k rounds thru it first but I love it more than any other AR I’ve ever owned, mine ran awesome with the fast triggers but I put my Geissele SSA-E X lightning bow trigger back in it after I ran the new selector frt trigger kit from tommy triggers, I also run a sig Romeo one pro dot on mine and I ordered a FDE radian raptor sd charging handle and a FDE Ambi radian safety selector for mine as well…I wouldn’t trade that gun for anything…however whenever I’m able to get my hands on their 10.3in 300 blackout barrel I’m gonna build it exactly like the mk18 but I’m gonna put the RIS lll handguard on it

The Geissele rail is a downgrade. The RIS won't bend unlike the bendy bill rail.

For charging handles on suppressed rifles I prefer the Griffen Snatch. Ports the gas away from the operator to the same side as your ejection port.

Geissele makes the best triggers, hands down. You can pick any from their lineup and you won’t dissatisfied.
Absolutely. Can’t beat them and they do it with the highest level of reliability to boot.

Going to a Geissele rail is a downgrade, the DD rails are some of the best on the market.

A 12.5 is what I just built with a PDW brace to keep it compact

If you havnt ditched the build yet, i threw a AFP Folding lower on my Daniel Mk18 upper. built in folding into the lower is a game changer.
You can Clint from Classic Firearms should compare notes on the DD Mk 18. He loves his as well.
Only thing we agreed on with our builds are safety selector switch, trigger, optic setup style. But different strokes for different folks.

I put a similar rig together except the SBR FACTOR but love the build
I'm trying to inventory what is left of the Mk18 -- upper, lower, BCG, barrel, gas block, gas tube, buffer and tube, mag release, bolt release, ejection port door, forward assist, and maybe a few springs. It's difficult to call it a Mk18 anymore.

Switching everything on it especially the quad rail no longer makes this a MK18, you could’ve built a SBR from the ground up and ended up with the same rifle
I'll have to disagree, as long as it keeps the 10.3 barrel and bro should've went with the geissele mk8 and ddc color.....

Lol I did the same to my MK18 like we almost have the same setup. But I did add a radian lower mine. Being a left that lower is my favorite part lol.

DD's Butt Stock is perfect and recognizable. I went with a smaller low profile foregrip (Magpul). The milspec trigger is fine. The charging handle doesn't work well when suppressed therefore the Gas Blocker handle is a good option. 👌

Daniel defense have made a new handguard for their mk18 to a single rail on the top
@@Whispertactical yeah the RIS III. Generally when people refer to a Mk18 is the RIS II rail they're talking about. Either way, this is a weird way to do things.
@@poolee77 yea my mk18 has the quad rail and I’m not gonna change it at all, I haven’t even got to make a video on mine yet because I wanted to get 4 or 5k rounds thru it first but I love it more than any other AR I’ve ever owned, mine ran awesome with the fast triggers but I put my Geissele SSA-E X lightning bow trigger back in it after I ran the new selector frt trigger kit from tommy triggers, I also run a sig Romeo one pro dot on mine and I ordered a FDE radian raptor sd charging handle and a FDE Ambi radian safety selector for mine as well…I wouldn’t trade that gun for anything…however whenever I’m able to get my hands on their 10.3in 300 blackout barrel I’m gonna build it exactly like the mk18 but I’m gonna put the RIS lll handguard on it
