I got the late 2013 Macbook Air and it still works great. I use it for some web browsing, document management like taxes, expense reports, etc, sometimes will use it for Mini Display port out to HDMI into a TV, etc. Im shocked how well it has held up since it came out in comparison to new models. For MOST users I think the 2013 model is still perfectly functional. I'd say high end gamers would still be better with PC or people doing highly intensive CPU GPU load work are better on something newer. Out of all my computers, tablets, phones, laptops, etc, the 2013 Macbook Air keyboard is my all time favorite. The ONE thing that I would like to do is replace the battery because after 11 years it doesn't hold a charge so it always stays plugged in and I use other devices on the go.

You can do a workaround and install the newest iOS version to it 🤩 just have to have a usb flash drive ❤ mine has been working well, but I’m finally gonna update to an m1 or m2 today it seems. Best Buy has a sale going on that ends today prolly gonna get it there or get one off of Facebook marketplace. Great video 💕
I have the exact same MacBook Air with the i5 and 4gb of RAM. Unfortunately, since Apple no longer 'supports' this computer, I put Windows 10 on it. Yes, I know there are workarounds but this was my wifes laptop she stopped using and I really dislike the 'feel' of MacOS. I will say, this laptop runs Win 10 GREAT and is perfect for light tasks, such as email, web browsing, watching videos and office work. When I'm not using it, I'm utilizing it as a low power security camera server and it runs flawlessly. It is also my travel laptop if I'm staying at a hotel and just want to watch Netflix or UA-cam. Battery life definitely isn't as great as it was brand new - I can get around 2 hours, 2.5 hours under very light use..so it mainly stays plugged in. What many people don't realize is that unless you're playing the latest AAA games, you are probably using a fraction of a 'typical' modern day computers processing power and capability. Most working 5-10 year old computers are just fine for office work, email, web browsing and watching videos (what most people actually use them for).

I bought this recently on craigslist for $120. I upgraded the memory to 8GB & added an SSD. I also updated the OS to Ventura via Open Core Legacy Patcher. It work really well as a travel laptop
If you updates with Open Core Legacy Patcher, when i finnish the installation, can i sign up with my apple id account? I need to have my icloud sync into my MacBook Air
Yup it's still very useful in 2023. I use it even until today. Just like I mentioned in the video the software isn't updated anymore and the battery on my mac is sort of showing it's wear. But I use it for basic everyday tasks still and it holds up. If you need it for video/photo editing, i would suggest getting something newer!
I picked one up recently. For a travel device that you can get for less than $200 (got mine for $150 with tax w/ 8gb/256 ssd) I can't think of much better. I tried the Chromebook route and that was definitely not the solution. I also wasn't about to pay more than $300 for something that I would only use on certain occasions. All I knew is that I needed a fully capable device that was small enough to tote around and if it got stolen I wouldn't want to jump out of a window. This is it.
