Attack From Mars is also my favorite pinball. I have # 210 with SSF. Like you I also have the AFM Arcade 1UP. I ordered my pinball during the 2/24/24 sale and second box arrived 4/25/24. The born on date on my machine is 3/18/24. Nice review!

@@KaoticBPR oh yeah that's such a great quality of life improvement, I actually loved what I heard and it's actually a huge selling point for me to be honest.
Good video. Was wondering if someone was going to do this comparison. Kind of unfair to the much older and under powered A1up… that being said outside of looks I’m betting at the time this is recorded the A1up version of AFM runs better with no lag than the ALP. Also to correct you the A1up has a 1080p display but the PCB is putting out a lower resolution for performance. The Vpinner soft mod can bump up the resolution to 1080p but the Williams tables lag if you do it.
You are correct on both accounts. My direction I wanted to really take it was the size comparison and the people wanted me to compare the screens resolutions stock. How the games look vs each other. How far zen studios has come especially with a partnership with a company that wants to tale their product to the next level. As arcade1up just wanted to put out a product, wasn't interested in listening to zen studios about how to improve their product. But yeah I agree with you. There are caveats on the comparison between the two. You can say unfair. People asked me to stand them next to each other. Compare the sizes, function, and look. Hopefully I accomplished that somewhat. Thank you for your valuable feedback
It makes the 1up look like a toy. The play field is crisp and clean. I like the lack of scoring popups on the 4KP version the Steam version which is a distraction. I am starting to get a little FOMO, and I have you to blame. :) Great video my friend.
Stellar review Kaotic! It's amazing to think that 4 months of patience pays off in this way I really like the art I think it's very vibrant and cool looking Martian themed stuff is not my favorite but I really get why people like it in the same way that I wish I could have pre-ordered peanuts instead of The Addams Family because I'm a huge Charlie Brown and Snoopy fan but I'm really enjoying playing pinball and so it's all good at the end of the day
Love your content and enjoying your music! This is a great product that's going to get even better over time. I think peanuts would have been my 2nd choice for sure.
@@DennisMangual so much like star trek the next generation. Both real machines are considered "wide pins" zen had to take the liberty of shrinking the sides down of the play field. They tried to get it as close as possible. Good eye.
Hi there, for the other tables on your machine, did they come with the table? did you purchase them in game packs through Atgames or did you get them from Pinball FX? If so, can you provide information on what type of computer you need ..ie, How many gigs, what kind of processor, video card, etc. Is it possible for you to provide a link for me? It would be really appreciated.
It came with 15 tables stock. I did buy all the zen packs up to date. 2 zaccaria packs and 2 gottlieb packs thru atgames. I don't own a PC powerful enough to handle OTG. But I'm in the beta program that allows visual pinball x to run on the 4kp via USB stick. I'll be doing future content videos showing off the process and when it's officially released to the public
You can also hold the left flipper down when you launch the ball for an additional skill shot. If you hit the middle barrier after that it’ll drop the ships shield immediately and you’ll get 60k.
@@donnie4772 yes sir, I can easily pull that off on my arcade1up version. But with the slight flipper lag on the 4kp, I'll miss the center almost Everytime I've tried. I need to get a little more practice in, and zen has got to get this fixed.
60 million* Yeah, the lag is frustrating. It’s def better than AF or Peanuts on my machine but still not where it should be. It’s a great machine so hopefully Zen can get this worked out.
I just received number 400 and I attach the backbox and there's no sound coming from the front speakers, no UI sound, no game sound, just the SSF kit working. Anybody know what the problem could be while I wait on At Games?
Well in my opinion there is no comparison to a real pinball machine. But when it comes to virtual pinball, they can make it as close to the real thing as possible. AtGames 4kp biggest lacking feature? Right now is they have to improve the software. I want to see usefulness of having a friends list. I want to be able to compare my scores with them. Or create tournaments with friends. I want to be able to buy pinball tables directly on the machine instead of buying on their website and have to enter a code on the machine. Zen studios needs to optimize their tables to utilize the SSF kit more, improve flipper lag, and optimize the tables to look and be more 4k than they currently are. Gottleb and zaccaria tables are almost perfect and make you feel like you are playing a real pinball machine. Zen being new to the platform just has to work on things and improve them. AtGames does a lot right with the 4KP, I would just like to see more love on their software side of things. Additional features. Hopefully that helps
@@KaoticBPR Thanks that helps a lot. I am also interested in getting a gaming laptop that would be capable of handling the most advanced of VPX tables...let me know if you hear of a good one!

You know? That's honestly fair. If you use OTG, and buy stuff arcades has a way you can upgrade your screen on the hd to a 4k display, and they have their back box option you can do some rocking things with the hd. I just never owned an hd and I love the attack from Mars skin, and the ability to play zen tables natively without the need of an expensive computer. So this is a great starting point for me. Maybe one day you'll see a need or want to upgrade!
I am not going throw shade here but you commented on the Lag and I have seen many others reviewing their 4kp's and are saying the same thing about these games. I am going to stay with my 1up until it breaks. Hopefully the software can be adjusted with a patch and it not be a limitation of that pcb their using otherwise we have all wasted 2k on furniture.
Some zen tables play like the 1up on this which hurts considering the price difference. But the zaccaria and gottleb are amazing. I think zen tables will be improved over time. I don't blame you for rocking the 1up until it breaks. As for me, I'm enjoying my upgrade.
Lmao, shell call my wife insane, lol but everything comes with a push and pull system. I push for the 4kp, she says get rid of 2 of my least played machines to make room for it. Something new comes out? Gotta move out the least played. So atleast she gets her way a little bit while I get mine.
KaoticBPR, Great review! I got the Addams Family 4KP back in January. I would've loved to get the Attack From Mars version more, but that initial pre-order price for Addams Family was just too good to pass up. Luckily, I like Addams Family also. I haven't been able to put mine together yet, still recovering from a knee injury, but hoping sometime now in July or August. I mainly bought the 4KP for the true integrated plug and play for PC. I've NEVER seen a kit this complete and seamless in this price range. At the low end, you're looking at $3,000 - $4,000 and at the high end, you're getting into a real Stern Pinball territory at $10K plus. So even if AtGames were to sell the 4KP at $2,000, I think it's still a great deal for the Plug and Play aspect alone. The onboard AtGames ecosystem is pretty much a bonus for me as they never truly worked out all the bugs on the HD Legends Pinball, which I also own. Flipper lag that impacts gameplay on the 4KP is unacceptable and I'm disappointed that AtGames chose to release yet another product before it was ready. I get that many companies have tried for years to get people used to buying broken products, but this has always been an acceptable practice to me. Here's what an ACCEPTABLE release looks like to me. Either one, release it fully working with no issues, or two, if the product isn't ready (has issues), let people know and sell it at a greatly reduced price, maybe 70% - 80% off of retail. Then when all the bugs are fixed, then raise it to full price for future sales. I guarantee this would encourage companies to get things fixed quicker :) I guess I just come from a time where the majority of things came out working. I remember buying games for my Atari 2600, Sega Genesis and Sony PS1 and they just worked with no issues. No need for day one patches or always online connections, I just owned good working games. Now companies want me to pay that same full price for broken games, most which I don't truly own? No thanks. And granted, I didn't pay full retail for my 4KP, but I DID pay the full pre-order price ($1,099) AtGames was asking for. And the ONLY REASON I pre-ordered the 4KP, is that a content creator I have a lot of trust with, Wagner's Tech Talk, demonstrated the PC Plug and Play capability and it worked flawlessly. This was all done before the machine even launched. Now this doesn't let AtGames off the hook for their software Ecosystem still having issues, because some people bought it to play games purchased from the AtGames store. For those folks, I feel bad for them. I just wish I could fit my 4KP into my Home Arcade with the room configuration I prefer. It's just too big, as is AtGames HD Legends pinball. And this is why I LOVE the size of my Arcade1Up Attack from Mars Pinball machine! I don't much care for its stock software, but the ability to soft mod it with Team Encoder's method, made it SO GREAT! You should consider doing this to yours, because you can get Farsight Studios Pinball Arcade on it! So many great tables and their version of the Attack From Mars table plays at a TRUE 60FPS (not what Arcade1Up claims their Zen ones do) and at a full 1080p! Of course, the Mod also allows you to add all the Arcade1Up Zen Star Wars and Marvel tables along with Android Pinball FX to get more Zen tables. Now if AtGames could make a mid tier VPin machine, something the exact size as Arcade1Up's VPin, then I'd be in heaven. Thanks again for the review! vgv

I did do the team encoder soft mod to my a1up attack from Mars. It was cool for what it was and enjoyable. I also felt like it was hindered by no online connectivity. With the atgames, it can always improve, new tables, and etc. But like you and so many others. OTG plug n play is the going to be the future and the long game for this device. For the preorder price, it made total sense to jump in, and have the ability to do the PC setup compared to other vpin solutions out there.
