    How about a shoot-out between Sonarworks, Dirac, REQ/APO and ARC 2?

      @@andivax When I think time domain I think measuring by individual drivers. Otherwise the time domain is dictated by your room?

    Hey Fluff, I've been watching for a few years now, I love your content. Just wanted to say thank you for introducing me to awesome products such as EZ drummer and Amplitube and countless others, they have been time saving for my music.
    The Dirac Live Room Correction reminds me of the little microphones that come with home cinema receivers. Its a very cool idea for a product, I like the idea of seeing how my room performs acoustically. Great job explaining and going through the product as always.I think I am going to have to check this out.

    As a Dirac live user for ~6 years i am not surprised that you like it.
    On a technical lvl take care on to much eq without lower the rest instead.
    Dirac can make your speakers go much lower in the bass region, but the speakers limitations are still the same.
    Also the result curve is just a calculated result.
    And the most important thing, use a Mic that is supplied with acalibration curve - like Umik

      Whats the right distance between the center and the side measure points?

    • @MrSmygolf
      @MrSmygolf 2 роки тому

      @@o.Silex.o Depending on how big area you measure, but not smaler then 35cm for a smaler area.
      Soga or theater can be well over one meter.

    great.
    i like the idea of handing a client an initial print-out of "Room Acoustics",
    changing set-up (optimise) & a second -improved- response curve ...

    I think the Mic position is not well explained, looks like you have to put your microphone higher and lower, but in the manual says at least 12 inches apart in a sphere.... so seems that is front and back ....VERY CONFUSING according to the picture in the setup

    I'm not sure what meant by the 44.1khz thing at the end. Does it mean you can't run the session in you DAW at 48? I'd like to know all the drawbacks of that limitation.

    • @quangsot
      @quangsot 2 роки тому

      I tried it and this 44.1khz was deal breaker for me. Couldn’t use it when my DAW is always 48khz.

    Just downloaded the demo and no matter what I do I get an error about my Signal to Noise. Wont pick up the test tones even at unreasonable levels.
    System works fine with Sonarworks/recording anything else. According to my google searches this isn't an uncommon problem but the solution seems to be for users of the recommended mic. I only have the Sonarworks XREF 2.0 mic.
    Wish I could try it out would love to try it for the phase feature
