It’s worth it to some of old guys that a four door car is just not going to work . Maybe in our newer daily’s but not our project cars . There is nothing wrong with wanting only a 2 door . My buddy bought a perfect 56 Chevy 4 door and converted it to a 2 door in a week . Looks amazing .
Chevy Novas.. Used to be you couldn't throw a handfull of gravel without hitting a 2 door 69-74 Nova. They're rare as hell today tho. I see a 4 door 💩box Nova still on the road but rarely see an old 2 door. Just sayin, i kinda see 4 door to 2 door swaps becoming a common thing among gear heads
I’ll take the 4 door anytime. Shorter lighter doors, in and out of the back seat without fighting the front seat back. That’s part of why I was always a closet Rambler guy! 2 door, 4 door, hardtop or wagon, it makes no difference! Comfort, roomy, great lines, and reclining seats, it doesn’t get any better! 65 and earlier you can still find a flathead 6 that won’t smoke the tires, but will get stupid high MPG!

That's Chevy Buick Oldsmobiles Pontiac, But most of them were cars that nobody wanted. Hell they would actually pay you to take the mopars. Having back doors didn't make them any slower. And I used to have fun coming up to the stoplight next to a jacked up 57 Chevy two-door with big tires ,loud exhaust ,bathtub on the hood. And when the light turns green walking away from him like he is in reverse in a stock 1957 Oldsmobile 98 four-door. As long as I didn't do anything stupid like hit reverse when I was trying to drop it into low or get the back tires spinning. There was a reason the engine was known as an Oldsmobile rocket. 394 cubic inch with three deuces. My first attempt at turning a four door into a two door, was with Mom 66 f85 wagon. I got into an accident with it and she didn't want it anymore so she gave it to me. Now Mom 66 Olds wagon was not normal. It was an oddity. She ordered it as she wanted it. In September of 65. It had a Oldsmobile engine to this day I still argue and fight over because nobody knows of its existence. I have actually punched it out with Mopar people over this. And I can prove it existed. For you old timers, grab the green Chilton 64 to 71. Turn the Page 707 that'll bring you up to where it says engine identification. Work your way down to the f85 engine identification. Find 1965 they offered three engines. The 225 V6 production code LH. The 330 cubic inch V8 production code U then the engine that I fight over that I am told does not exist. 440 cubic inch V8 production code W. So mom's little f85 had a 440 cubic inch with the quadra toilet, dual exhaust, and a 4-speed. And in Oldsmobile language four barrel four-speed dual exhaust equals 442. Mom was a dirty hot rodder from the late 50s who used to Cruise Woodward Friday and Saturday nights, racing from light to light. Some of my earliest memories standing between the bucket seats on the hump as mom is banging gears. She knew what she was ordering when she ordered this car. It ended up being a shorty station wagon. With 442 badges. I learned a lot about cutting and welding, grinding and the proper use of lead as a filler.
LOL.. NO!!! they didn't make a Oldsmobile 440 engine..your Mom had the 400 cubic inch with 345 hp and 440 torque!! That's 440 TORQUE not cubic inches... You relied on the 'Chilton" manual that's your problem, those are filled with mistakes!! Factory manual or just use nothing! GM with their cars, some were advertised with torque ratings or trim models on the air cleaner ..Like the Oldsmobile 442 had the 400 cubic inch V8 but the air cleaner said 442,so people thought its a 442 cubic inch powered Oldsmobile 442?! But it was the trim model.. Buick had Wildcat 445 on the air cleaner yet not a 445 engine! That's the torque, they didn't make a 445 V8! Like your Moms 400 cubic inch with 440 torque wagon, its the torque rating! Yep,takes a MOPAR guy to help "gm" guys out all the time..No need to thank me, I like to help the less fortunate!
@@01trsmar did you spend years trying to find any information you could on an engine you wanted to rebuild? I had a half dozen 442's through the years I wanted to put that critter in. And yes I can read a fucking air cleaner. Only to find the only reference for it in the Chilton manual? Then anytime that I mention it some smug know it all Mopar asshole comes along and tells me how wrong I am and how many ways I am wrong. Because I don't drive a Mopar. As if I haven't been doing this for the last 55 years. Like I've never owned a 61 Phoenix. A 62 lancer, 67 dart GT, 68 and 69 GTS. 1970 fartslinger with a 340 the 4-speed the air scoops and the bumblebee stripe. 68 69 70 and 71 chargers. And the 1964 barracuda. The 1967 barracuda and the 71 cuda.To name a few of the mopars I have had over the years. And I have a 1969 Chrysler Dart. Go ahead and tell me that there's no such thing as a 1969 Chrysler Dart. Mopar 440 if I remember correctly off the top of my head is a 4.320 bore and a 3.375 inch stroke. Do the math that comes out to 439.72 cid or to round it off 440. When I measured the bore on this Oldsmobile engine it was 4.195 that's not listed in the books anywhere. With a 3.980 stroke. That comes out to 439.52 cid . And once again to round it off 440. Talk down to me like I don't know my shit. My engine in my C-20 has a 4.005 bore and a 3.975 stroke. Do you know what that measures out to?
Yeah dealers in Detroit would do all kinds of stuff , ie copo or like yenko. If you had the cash and knew the lingo you could get a lot of things that you didn't know existed
@@01trsmar I'm going out on a limb and say he's got a stroked out 425 or something like that. Because a) it would be a known thing B)you could produce a dealer option sheet. And C: gm isn't going to build a motor that would cost millions of dollars to produce for a station wagon. 🙄 I'll give him it maybe a ""440" but it's just not plausible for it to be production Actually I talked to a buddy , if you take a Olds 350 diesel engine you can mod it out to a ""440"" so it exists but it don't
I have a 69 Dart Custom 4dr, I swapped out the 273 with a full .020 over 340 rebuild out of a 69 Swinger that was too far gone.. I currently have it hooked to the 904 trans/7.25 rear.. I'm planning to install the 8.75 rear and 727 Trans after I rebuild them.. should be a hell of a sleeper..
i just finished a months long job of converting my 2 door 71 cuda into a nice 4 door sedan . its now perfect for everyday usage ,as well i believe my gas mileage has improved somewhat !
Do it Unk. I've got a 65 Buick Special wagon converted to 2-dr. using 2-dr post doors and quarter panel sections. Angled B-pillar to give it Nomad look.
Tony, you amaze the shit out of me! Your whole attitude towards cars is to use what you got and have fun with it! Love it! My family owned a Bodyshop for 64 years and you have inspired me to get a clunker and go have some fun. I think a slant six. You can't kill'em!
DD speed shop is great! That's so cool! I don't think I'd ever get to this point, but I think it's a tremendously cool idea for a series of videos for those out there crazy enough to try it!
Yeah, I thought they were going to cut and shorten entire vehicle frame , lol! I guess there muscle cars had very similar length regardless of 4 or 2 door body style.
I gotta say I love the gold dodge dart 4 door. Mint car. Not necessarily because it's as nice as a two door, but because it gives you an idea of what a normal everyday car looked like in the 60s. Everyone is doing a two door muscle car, but you don't see many of the 4 doors in that great of shape.
I like what Coldwar Motors did with their 60 Dodge Polara to 60 Fury conversion...Take a ruined but valuable 2 door Fury missing the bottom 6" due to rust and a cheap 4 door Polara with decent bottom and graft the fury onto the compatible Polara bottom.

Or perhaps go with a woody conversion. We are taking a 62 Valiant four door 100 and turning it into a woody wagon. It is an old family car that we have had for about forty years. It became a doner car for a family Valiant 200 that our mother bought in 74. My son who is going on thirteen and I are going to build it. No problem, I have built several woody cars now as well as composition bodies from the twenties. 1920s. Great video Uncle T. Greetings from the high plains of Texas.
OMG My head hurts just watching this video. I have 2 (66 & 67) Bevedere sedan sleeper 4dr... Never would I think of doing this. And besides the Aussies have had 4dr factory muscle cars since the 60's. That is what inspired me to build what I got. Uncle Tony is a glutton for punishment.
did this stuff decades ago....loved it! I still have a converted 4dr 55 chevy wagon that is a 2 door on one side and still a 4 dr on the other. one side looks like a bone stock belair beauville wagon and the other side looks like something from a concept artists drawing board lol!
My first car, was a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger. It had a cracked windshield. Being a not so wealthy guy, I searched for a used, cheap one in the Buy Lines- a long time classifieds paper in N.Y. City. I don't know if it even still exists. I went to a guy's house, who had a four door '71, that had a perfect windshield. It was out of the car, ready for pickup.... I did one thing that I'm glad now that I did- we compared the windshield on top of mine. It was NOT the same size! The two door windshield was wider! Both of us were really surprised.
When I converted my 65 Valiant 4 door to a 2 door I just got a 2nd set of front doors and grafted the back half of the 2nd set to the front half of the 1st set to extend them. Yes, lots of work but it did the trick, with some messaging.
I just got my lowered Chevy truck driving two weeks ago. It was long bed truck that I made into a short bed sometimes you just have to work with what you already have plus I love a challenge.
Awesome Video!!!! Im Soo Excited to hear that you are going to do this Uncle Tony!!! I have been watching dd speed shop on tha tri-5's Can't wait to get into this with you Leading the Way!!!!!
You're buds with Dan n Dannie..awesome, y'all are 2 of my favorites to watch and I only follow about 5-6 channels. You operating out of Canada also? I also follow Scott's Speed Shop.. they love Mopar's as much as you Mr. Tony! Living the dream doing what you love, I envy that!
This got me reminiscing about the 70's.....back then, they would have removed the handles, inside and out, and bondo'd the door gap....and covered the window riser hole with Smiley face stickers... Then would come the ten inch spring shackles....a set of Purple Hornies and a Hurst floor shifter in a hole chopped in the floor.... Then all that's left is a chrome air cleaner and a Accel super coil and she's done...
Hole chopped in the floor got me. I once drove a car that had a hole literally chopped with a hatchet to put a 3 speed floor shifter to replace the column shift. Good times.
30 years ago I converted just the passenger side of a 87 Toyota tercel from 2 to 4 door, the DMV told me there is no such thing as a 3 door car then Saturn came out with one. I left the registration as a 2 door.
Search for cold war motors 1960s Fury. That's a 4 door to 2 door conversion and a splicing together of 3 different cars, one of which isn't even a Fury.
I've had some cool two doors but I never had a problem with my four-door cars being four doors. I always gave him the same love and TLC does the two-door cars and didn't let the extra doors sway me from doing the same mods to them.
Hey man, i watch your show every night and love it. I have an idea for you maybe. Take the rear inner structure of the original door and graft it to the back of the two door door. You're channel is so informative and I thank you for everything you do👍🏻
The 67 to 69 Valiant was not offered as a 2 door hardtop, it was a 2 door sedan only. The Dart was offered as both. There was a true 2 door hardtop Valiant offered in Mexico, but we did not get them in the us unfortunately.
My Uncle is presently building himself a "M Bird", M is the first letter of his name. He got a hold of a 49 Ford 4 door and has shortened it down to the length of a 55 T Bird. There is a lot of roof work as well as the 2 doors that needed to be made longer. He has been a T bird builder for a long time as well as Corvettes.
A guy I know has a 63 Plymouth wagon that was a four door car but is now a two door and it looks like it came that way from the factory. It’s just a roller in primer now but it has great potential
Could you remove the back section of the 2 door door in front of the door handle and weld the back section of the 4 door door and leave some of the post on it?
Some of the best cars I've ever have been four-door cars. Nine times out of ten you get a better car for less money. My current daily driver is an 04 Marauder and it's my favorite car out of everything I've ever owned.
Will be watching this with interest: I've considered and sized up a 'never was' car I fancy building, so you're letting me see what I'm getting into if I ever get there!
This thing will be a killer STREET FREAK🤘🏼🔧 Hey Tony I’ve got all 4 complete doors(72 Valiant)left over from scrap car that are in great shape if you need some real steel! And a trunk lid. John Wilburn has my direct number.
Good luck with that. I have been following D&D speed shop and Dan makes it look easy. As you’ve pointed out, you have some bigger challenges with a mopar vs tri5. I’m intrigued by this project. Hope it turns out good 👍.
Funny, I just wrote DD a few days ago about toying with the idea to convert my '55 Plymouth Savoy to a 2 door. Lol. It will be a gasser, I think the wheel bases are different but I wonder how'd she look.
You know, jeeps were taking over in interlaken Switzerland last time I was there... you could go over and show them a few things, maybe get vacation paid for?
Graft the back of the front four-door door to the back of the two-door door and you'll be able to use the repositioned four-door post unaltered... Follow me. ?? (You COULD make the doors as long as you want) That should leave you enough left over window frame to fill in the gap created..then you use the rear door (and window frame) to create the new quarter panel. (Two door panel wagon project later, maybe..??)
just don't do full size doors it misses up the look and handling ect everyone and you are after, go for something like the RX-8/Honda element or dihedral backwards swing. doing that body mod to my B-body as well just like you but it's for my crap/kid's/and smaller sized friends ect dihedral 1/2-S using normal 2-door quarters and front doors ect someone else did a 1970 Plymouth cuda 4-door um good idea wrong exsausion/bad version of it, kinda like doing a limousine um it didn't work
.. This mere discussion absolutely PROVES that there is a huge OBSESSION within a LOT of old car fans.. of preference for two-door cars. This obsession is so strong that many of them would rather have a two-door SEDAN than a four-door HARDTOP..... and many of them don't even know the difference! Originally, two-door models were made for the manufacturer to offer a new car at a slightly lower price --- the only reason!
It’s interesting what he says about the four door Charger not working. It is actually possible to make it into a two door, the end result would look different. The trick is to get a second donor four door. Cut out the b pillars from the donor shell and weld them directly behind the existing ones, using them as a jig. Once the new b pillars are welded in the originals can be cut out. Then take the front doors from the donor shell and cut them in half, then cut the rear third off the original doors and graft in the donor rears to desired length.
A buddy of mine has a 55 4 door post car but he has already cut a 2 door post car up and he has all the stuff setting there to make a 2 door post but it’s all been setting there for years so I’m gonna try and buy it off of him and build the American graffiti car…… eventually I gotta build my 69 Roadrunner 68 coronet and 69 chevelle first so somewhere in the process of these 3 I’m gonna try and get the 55 stuff and build it a little at a time
Honestly to me it depends on what car it is as to whether I prefer a 2 door or a 4 door. Either way I want a post and a door frame. Tony, I think it would be rather cool to have a 4 door street freak but that is just me. This video did give me a good idea, find a pristine 2 door car and convert it to a 4 door.
How far would you travel for a almost perfect set of 68 Dart post doors? I sold a rolling drag car and the guy cut the chassis out of the 68 and put it in an earlier Dart, a 64 think, but the doors were perfect and he saved the body, I'll check to make sure but he's saved them for over 20 years so I'm sure there're still there!!! By the way, we're in eastern NC!!!!
OK Uncle Tony, so here goes : ) I've been watching DD Speed shop for some time now & love the 4 door to 2 door conversions, however on his latest build, I suggested that he do something rather unorthodox with the build, which he apparently didn't like & obviously didn't do. I love his channel, but he is obviously much younger than you & still has stuff to prove : ) You on the other hand are in my age group & have nothing to prove & just want do crazy shit, just for the sake of doing crazy shit............ie the Miata : ) So, my suggestion will save you exactly 50% of the work & you'll certainly have the ultimate "Street Freak". .......................just convert the the drivers side to the 2 door configuration, so you'd basically end up with a 3 door car, kinda like the late 60's early 70's suburbans. I'm pretty sure you'd have the only one out there. Food for thought for those with nothing to prove to anyone. Oh & by the way, I love your channel as well : )
In the early 1980's it was possible to get a couple of 4-door Tercels, cheap collision write-offs hit from opposite ends, and weld one decent car to sell to a guy who didn't ask enough questions. Likewise, maybe somewhere there's a good back half of a 1968-ish 2-door sedan, OK from the B pillars to the rear bumper, but hit a tree fast enough to relocate the front bumper near the firewall. Grafting that remaining back half onto Uncle Tony's 4-door front half would be a lot less time and effort than the surgery described in this video.
Why don’t you make a hybrid 2 door? Use the valiant, dart/swinger style frameless door and just have the bare glass seat against the window post? That could simplify your conversion immensely.
In H.S. my Uncle owned a Wrecking Yard and we did Engine Rebuilds, Swaps, Conversions, Full Bodyshop, never turned anything away if you had the cash to burn. Except, if you asked Doug you wanted to convert a four door to a two door, he would shake his head and say "Absolutely Not! Life is too short..."
My first 4 cars were 4 doors. 70 Nova, 71 Chevelle, 69 Chevelle and a 75 Mercury Monarch. I later had 2 4 door Volares. Never cared. Converting to a 2 door sounds like something someone is concerned about their image or trying to flip it for money. But at least we get to see it done!
I’m especially fond of these kinds of conversions when I see it on a wagon. But if it’s done the right way I’m not opposed to seeing it done on a 4 door sedan . Although I’ve recently become fond of older “more doors.”
99% of people deep down really want a 2 door, but for alot of classics a 2 door can be worth double or triple a 4 door varient. Like the tri 5 chevys are worth a fortune in 2 door form but the 4 door ones are almost worthless and can usually be found in nicer shape, the tri 5s are worth doing a conversion if you cant afford a factory 2 door but some cars are not worth the all the time and money required to do the conversion.

Because a) it would be a known thing
B)you could produce a dealer option sheet.
And C: gm isn't going to build a motor that would cost millions of dollars to produce for a station wagon. 🙄
I'll give him it maybe a ""440" but it's just not plausible for it to be production
Actually I talked to a buddy , if you take a Olds 350 diesel engine you can mod it out to a ""440"" so it exists but it don't
I find this sort of fabrication absolutely fascinating, especially when it's done well. Looking forward to see how this turns out.
Well, he's committed to using a flux core welder...so I don't have high hopes for that part, anyway. Lol
It's fascinating when someone else is doing it.
A little skeptical. I think this is going to be a big project for one man with other cars to work on.
id like to see what 1/2 sized doors ( 2-door and or ish quarters with doors cut in ) would look like and suised hinges on the back-1's
I'd just build a stout 904. Hell I've done it. Hell I have one now transgo kit and all. It has no home breaks my heart. 727 is overkill
@@katiehall5177 That's awesome! The stock 904 is currently bolted in and the 727 sitting on the garage floor... might be easier to just build the 727
Dan and his chick are a great pair. The "it's not worth your time to do" projects are my favorite to watch and learn from.
i just finished a months long job of converting my 2 door 71 cuda into a nice 4 door sedan . its now perfect for everyday usage ,as well i believe my gas mileage has improved somewhat !
I'd file this mod under: Nope! Good luck. Can't wait to see you work through it.
I would end up settling for mad max style about 3 weeks into it lol
@@mccoma11 I say go Mad Max now... Australia is there just about currently...
DD speed shop is great! That's so cool! I don't think I'd ever get to this point, but I think it's a tremendously cool idea for a series of videos for those out there crazy enough to try it!
I'm very excited to watch the progress of this build. I had no idea so many people were doing this, and didn't even know it was possible!
That’s how I found ColdWar motors. Scott should have way more subscribers.
Make it a 3 door.
2 on one side
1 on the other
Didn't Saturn make a few of those?
Kinda like an AMC Pacer one door is bigger than the other door. Sorta/Kinda... LMAO!!!!!!

(and surprise, it came with a 304-V8 that shamed a few Fox-body Mustangs)
So much for Bottle Rocket or Plan Z getting down the track.
Tony has a "Build Emergency "!
We got rained on Saturday, so Bottle Rocket goes again this coming weekend, and Plan Z goes to the track on Sept 5th. Should I not do anything else while I wait for those dates?

Or perhaps go with a woody conversion. We are taking a 62 Valiant four door 100 and turning it into a woody wagon. It is an old family car that we have had for about forty years. It became a doner car for a family Valiant 200 that our mother bought in 74. My son who is going on thirteen and I are going to build it. No problem, I have built several woody cars now as well as composition bodies from the twenties. 1920s.
Great video Uncle T.
Greetings from the high plains of Texas.
Bingo!! I had more fun with a 75 4 door than any other car I owned. The 302 helped.
Scott up north at Coldwar Motors, made a ‘60’Plymouth Fury from 4 different donor cars. He did an amazing job. 🏆🏆

I am a Sheetmetal Dude - I like the sound of all that. Should be a blast to do!
I love the fact that I prefer 4 doors. It makes it so much cheaper to buy the cars I want
did this stuff decades ago....loved it!

I have been watching dd speed shop on tha tri-5's
Can't wait to get into this with you Leading the Way!!!!!
Good times.
I've seen a lot of guys do this with tri5 chevys I'm interested in seeing you do it on a unibody Chrysler...
Yes. DD speed shop does tri 5 s and they are great. More cars need to be figured out
I always wanted to make a 2 door satellite wagon superbird with the back closed like a sedan delivery.
Man that's gonna take a Valiant Effort to make this!
Oof... lol
I had the four door 67 Belvedere II with the 225. It was just fine and easier to get friends in than the two door. Wish I still had it!
Looks like DD speed shop is rubbing off a bit on You guys, I love it! Creativity time!
You're channel is so informative and I thank you for everything you do👍🏻
What a huge project... should be fun to watch!
The 67 to 69 Valiant was not offered as a 2 door hardtop, it was a 2 door sedan only. The Dart was offered as both. There was a true 2 door hardtop Valiant offered in Mexico, but we did not get them in the us unfortunately.
DD speedshop is great! Wow I thought the tri 5's were complicated.
Gonna love seeing rhis project come to pass
My Uncle is presently building himself a "M Bird", M is the first letter of his name. He got a hold of a 49 Ford 4 door and has shortened it down to the length of a 55 T Bird. There is a lot of roof work as well as the 2 doors that needed to be made longer. He has been a T bird builder for a long time as well as Corvettes.
It’s amazing you can actually do this however I think you nailed the advice….don’t do it but the car you want
If you can't be with the one you love. Love the one your with.
A guy I know has a 63 Plymouth wagon that was a four door car but is now a two door and it looks like it came that way from the factory. It’s just a roller in primer now but it has great potential
Can't wait to see it finished
Hats off to you Tony ...that a nother big bite to swallow..
Could you remove the back section of the 2 door door in front of the door handle and weld the back section of the 4 door door and leave some of the post on it?
Some form of that is what will eventually happen
Some of the best cars I've ever have been four-door cars. Nine times out of ten you get a better car for less money. My current daily driver is an 04 Marauder and it's my favorite car out of everything I've ever owned.
Will be watching this with interest: I've considered and sized up a 'never was' car I fancy building, so you're letting me see what I'm getting into if I ever get there!
We had a 66 2-door. Clean when we first got it used. 225 car, but would have been nice to store when we first got it.

Tony if you can find a donor use the complete B-pillar and quarter panel section to fill where the rear door was. You can do it.
I admire your ability to drive yourself nuts.
Funny, I just wrote DD a few days ago about toying with the idea to convert my '55 Plymouth Savoy to a 2 door. Lol. It will be a gasser, I think the wheel bases are different but I wonder how'd she look.
Another informative session. Keep up the good work.
DD Speed Shop is a great channel , I really can’t wait to see this build . Cheers
I'd almost sell you my 71' Dart Swinger so you don't have to go through this. It needs roof work because of the vinyl top
70 to 72 darts are my favorite mopars. I miss the 2 I had. 340 and 318. Cant wait to find another.
I'd buy it where ya at?
You know, jeeps were taking over in interlaken Switzerland last time I was there... you could go over and show them a few things, maybe get vacation paid for?
Part II ?
Tony, the Dart two-door sedan's last year was '68. All '69 Dart two-doors were hardtops.
Graft the back of the front four-door door to the back of the two-door door and you'll be able to use the repositioned four-door post unaltered... Follow me. ?? (You COULD make the doors as long as you want)
That should leave you enough left over window frame to fill in the gap created..then you use the rear door (and window frame) to create the new quarter panel.
(Two door panel wagon project later, maybe..??)
So on a 1968 Plymouth Satellite 4 door, you can't or you shouldn't make it a two door?
Very informative video can't wait to see the results
Gonna add 2 doors to my old camaro, really spoil my dogs.
Turn it into a suv!
I remember seeing a 65 Mustang 4 door conversion in Hot Rod magazine around 70-71. That was a slick bit of work!
just don't do full size doors it misses up the look and handling ect everyone and you are after, go for something like the RX-8/Honda element or dihedral backwards swing.
doing that body mod to my B-body as well just like you but it's for my crap/kid's/and smaller sized friends ect dihedral 1/2-S using normal 2-door quarters and front doors ect

Patch panel for the win
Wouldn't it be easier to graft the rear section of the 4 door door to the two door doors and keep the center pillar intact?
Center pillar (B pillar)has to be moved as the 2 door is longer..
I personally love four doors, but hey, definitely a cool idea nonetheless! Good luck!
Tony. What about the 66 dart sedan to coupe conversion(road race build)? Is it just cutting out the pillars and throwing on coupe doors?
Perhaps you could locate some 2 door center posts from a donor car?

How far would you travel for a almost perfect set of 68 Dart post doors? I sold a rolling drag car and the guy cut the chassis out of the 68 and put it in an earlier Dart, a 64 think, but the doors were perfect and he saved the body, I'll check to make sure but he's saved them for over 20 years so I'm sure there're still there!!! By the way, we're in eastern NC!!!!
That's a haul for a pair of doors, but see if they are available. If so, throw us a message at Uncletonysgarage@gmail.com
Oh & by the way, I love your channel as well : )
Yep I bet your right , he'd have the only one ! Funny , that's really not a bad idea , hes always telling Cat , get in the back !

Just the idea that this particular project is ever-changing is quite interesting.
I know...the morphing actually has me pretty excited about working on it
Set the side windows up like a S/S A body with lexan and the seatbelt pulls
My Coupe or sedan Two door is out there.. my daily driver.. is like stocking up parts for the someday two door
I’m especially fond of these kinds of conversions when I see it on a wagon. But if it’s done the right way I’m not opposed to seeing it done on a 4 door sedan . Although I’ve recently become fond of older “more doors.”
Plan Z!!
September 5th is coming up fast. We'll be screwing around and sorting that car soon to get ready for that race
