    It does sound really good. Looking for an "adult" exhaust... sounds good on the throttle but cruising around wont wake the neighbors on my late night commute home. Awesome plethora of videos on the ST Bill, that's what separates CJ Pony Parts from the rest

    great vid, one thing i like about this exhaust is that its not sleeved, love the fact every piece is bolted on way more effective to stop damn exhaust leaks

    Thanks CJ this made my decision making a lot easier. I went to my ford dealer today where they install Borla cat backs on their cars they sell, and it was WAY too loud. The entire inside of the car was vibrating and I did not like it (car also had a catted down pipe) I dont want an exhaust that is going to vibrate things loose. But at the same time I want a nice rumble. I think this exhaust will be perfect. How is the in-cabin vibration? Does the center console/rear seat vibrate or resonate too much? (not drone, i am talking like, u can just feel vibration channeled through the car physically)

    Very high quality kit!! Too quiet for me though. Nice tone just the same! Perhaps a catless setup would be best!

    Hello Bill... first I want to say that you guys are the only shop that does these great videos for aftermarket parts and for that I thank you guys. So my question ( I have 2016 ST) I have watched all these video's you have done and they all sound great but then I hear the next video and it sounds great... since I can't afford to buy 5 different system I would like to ask you opinion (knowing it is just an opinion and everyone has one LOL) but with that said which exhaust did you favor? I don't want drone at highway speeds, nor the popping when I back off, but when I stand on it I want to hear and under normal driving want that nice sound. Which one or 2 would you tell me to look hard at (price is not a concern) Thank you

      For me it would be a coin flip between the Cobb and the MBRP. The MBRP is deeper, I like the tone of the Cobb WOT.

    So whats better? 3 inch or a 2 and 1/4?? I like the American thunder flowmaster sound better but is there a performance edge to one or the other? Especially with a cobb upgraded fmic and accessport

    My ST came with this exhaust. I’d honestly give it a 6/10. I personally feel like it’s not loud enough. You really gotta step on it for it to be heard

    I've had this exhaust with an mbrp catted DP and it has a lot of drone when you are at highway speed and especially if you want to pass someone. The bass is too much for daily driving. The sound is ok... Not that exotic tbh. Great exhaust for a weekend car or track car. Not daily if you have a DP installed and want to have convos in your car or not have a headache later on. ford performance exhaust waiting to be installed for that matter.

    I think im getting a st with a cobb exhaust. But i absolutley love obnoxiously loud exhausts. But i think it would physically hurt me to cut something so pretty

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  5 років тому

      If you install a catless downpipe, that will make the car louder without cutting up the Cobb exhaust www.cjponyparts.com/downpipe-off-road-stainless-steel-3-inch-focus-st-2013-2018/p/DPST3/

    Hello Bill, I'm very interested to buy this exhaust, but I'm afraid that will be too loud, I know long ago you tested the Mountune CATBACK, in your experience how much louder is the COBB against the MOUNTUNE ? also when I see the videos of the MBRP it seems too me equal loader as the COBB, is there a big difference between both? Thanks in advance for your help.

    • @Zerogivengarage
      @Zerogivengarage 7 років тому

      The Mountune was very quiet, too quiet for me honestly. The Cobb is louder for sure but not LOUD by any stretch and I think it sound really good.

      More than likely it's probably the heavy flywheel, just like the stock exhaust, intake and intercooler it's primary function is to eliminate feedback. When my car needs a clutch I'll be going to a lightweight flywheel and report back.

    • @alejandropacheco3839
      @alejandropacheco3839 3 роки тому

      It’s your sound symposer, if it’s still on anyway. Aftermarket exhausts don’t really agree with the extra induction noise and makes a tone of drone

    Will this void the warranty?

    • @dham99
      @dham99 7 років тому +1

      Straight answer, No. There are some dealerships that might try to weasel out of paying for a 'modified' exhaust, but they have to prove the parts caused the failure. No catback will cause failures when the o2 sensors and other components are upstream from the modded part. Even an aftermarket BOV or air filter/intake cannot void a warranty. The moment you plug in a tuner though or replace the dp (especially with a catless one) or intercooler, you're on your own.
      Even Ford will tell you these mods wont void warranties, but they prefer you get Ford parts and have them install them to be 100% sure there are no issues, especially the tuner (they will install it and keep the warranty).
