Lucy Thomas, Is 20 years old (B: 2/21/2004) and from Wigan, Lancashire in England. She records both cover and original Pop and Musical songs.
"Unchained Melody" was written in 1955 by Alex North and Hy Zaret for the film "Unchained". The song has become one of the most popular songs ever written. "Unchained Melody" has been recorded over 1,500 times notably in 1965 by The Righteous Brothers.

Thanks Layman, that perpetual smile from the start to the end says it all and you are the first to react to this song, yes I caught the notification almost as it was released, watched it and immeditely informed you as I knew you would really like this song and I am going to say it is lucy best song yet. He voice is maturing she has a full song voice so rich and full of music and she has a tremendous range, the REACH WITHOUT the SCREECH as it has been said, thanks for the react your smile says it all even if you were a little speechless at times.
Just curious (another comment got me thinking), do you know of any videos of Lucy, pre-teenager, (other than her singing "Run" at age 10)? I have seen photos of her (on her site) in various plays and such. Surely there are some videos out there.
@@jozhua5 There is Colors of the wind but you have covered that, and there are snippits of Lucy and Martha at 10 singing for a friends birthday on Lucy's Instagram and later another solo song by Martha at 10 in a bright yellow dress singing outside at the farm, and there is a short song of Lucy at about 8 singing in a church (?) and also one where Martha was 4 and Lucy helping her sing on stage somewhere, they appear to be family video probably taken by mother Louise. Its been awhile since I stumbled on them and I am nit even sure how I got there, I'll check and see IF I can find them.

Such a special song, sung so beautifully. This song was written for the 1955 film "Unchained" about a guy in prison who is hoping his love still loves him and will wait for him to get out. "Time goes so slowly"......It is a heart-rending song if you know the context. Listen to it again now that you know. It was nominated for an Academy Award that year but lost to "Love is a Many Splendored Thing".
