I'm a white British Citizen, my ancesters were slaves - the feudal system. Britain never had black slaves and even banned it before it was banned for white people - even before was ever banned for our own people, the reason was the working class were Britains slaves. We still have a Monarchy - the only country that fought and WON a war for a rebublic and still didn't get it. Black people came to this country at our Governments invitation and now are gettting better rights than the indiginous people. The only enemy is our own rulers.

@@DavidHarvey-po9leI’m white British too. White working class people were treated abominably in this country up until fairly recently. My grandfather (born 1889) ended up in the workhouse with his 9 siblings on more than one occasion. He carried the stigma of that all his life. My uncle on my mother’s side was a victim of one of the last fatal mining accident in 1962, that claimed not just his life but that of two colleagues. His widow, who had two children, received not a penny in compensation. Working people were dispensable and worth nothing. Being white was no privilege if you didn’t have money, and still isn’t.

@@DavidHarvey-po9le Correct me and explain if I'm wrong cause I feel you would know better, but doesn't the government in the UK work on a parliamentary system? I know there is still Royalty in the UK but isn't the government mainly based on the power of a parliament that is elected by the people, making it a democracy? I'm only asking because I would like to know, not in any way saying you are definitely wrong.

@jeremyofdee3274 Britain is a Democracy the Monarch has no say in the government and MUST remain neutral.
He or she can never take sides regarding the political parties.
The Prime Minister of the day has a🎉 private meeting
with the King once a week. It is called a Constitutional Monarchy.
Our late Queen Elizabeth II said Listen and if needed may suggest something they had recalled when a similar thing had occurred when another Prime Minister was in office.
Prime Ministers who met our late Queen Elizabeth II were so very blessed to have been able to see her once a week as her knowledge of events pertaining to several P.M .'s in the past and history of U.K. was absolutely amazing. Her memories of so much history were inspiring to them all. Seventy years of service to the Country, and the Commonwealth have been wonderful. She was the rock which steadied this country.

Just one of the many examples, when criticising the law of s(ton)ing an adulterous person to unalivement in Islam, he praises christianity for when Jesus supposedly defends an adulterous woman by saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"
Now leaving aside all the other problems with this verse such as wasn't Jesus sinless? Why didn't he cast the first stone, leaving aside all that this verse is a fabrication & was removed in the NIV & RSV bible because the oldest records of NT manuscripts don't have this verse so it's a fabrication, this event never happened
Another problem with this is that this punishment was commanded by literally the god of the bible himself so it is also a chrsitian law(which makes his entire criticism as hypocritical) & Jesus painting it as wrong just means he's calling the god of the old testament wrong for commanding it, there are still several other problems with his criticism but let's leave that for now.
So he's basically a gay person defending christianity using a fabricated verse, this can't get any better

Of course Douglas is right. The people claiming they deserve reparations for what their ancestors suffered claim they're experiencing some kind of trickle down effect, when in reality it's cultural devolution that's bringing people down.
I've come across black Americans sharing stories of being shamed or bullied for doing *well* in school from their peers, being asked if they're trying to be white. It's awful, and *that* is what needs to change.
Also cheers to the editor for the epic Murray collage.

Douglas Murray is one of my most favorite thinkers and lecturers. He is quick on his feet, he’s thought through the issues deeply and is ready immediately to clarify and correct misguided and outrageous opinions on any culture or political subject. He’s the BEST.

Douglas Murray is a rare gem. He comes from a place of facts, reason and logic, with a strong knowledge of world history. He speaks the TRUTH and that goes against so many narratives of lies these days, but he manages to shut that s!%t down every time.

He really is a beacon of hope, and his books are essentially a guide back to rationality and sanity.

Douglas Murray is a true wordsmith; his verbal diction is impeccable, as is his reasoning.
I do know that he delves into an enormous amount of research before he engages with the subject matter in hand, such as, in this case, the global history of slavery.
I wish that more people like him would put themselves forward as political leaders, particularly in the western world, as it seems that we have, instead, been lumbered with a generation or two of complete buffoons to choose from.
Amala, please keep up the great work that you are doing, your channel is a refreshing enlightenment, thank you.
