Thanx alott, we stay in a rural town, on Monday we plan to let it fix, 100km from our town, but i google info and your video help as 100%. THANX AGAIN!
Wow. Ty so much for the knowledge. I lost my keys to my truck topper about a year ago. The truck wasn’t a daily driver so I let it sit mostly, driving it every so often to the store to keep things semi moving. Recently I lost my job, and my work truck. Now I’m back to my old trusty Ford F-150. My truck topper y handles were a must for locking the top, problem was I lost my keys as stated above. I commute with a friend and need certain tools but not others. Those stay in my truck. I recently found an online company to replace the keys (2006 topper). I received them tonight and tried them. The lock was incredibly tight. It worked, but not well. This video saved me. Ty.
I have a 700 series leer tonneau cover, and the lock cylinder spun in place. I was able to unlock and open the latch, but not lock it. This video totally worked. Just hit it with some penetrating fluid, and worked the key a bit with some pliers. Good as new now! Thanks for the video!
this worked great on both sides! thank you .. question. one side locks but the other side the key just pivots inside the tumbler it doesn't engage the lock.. how to fix it? or do i need a new set? thank you
My t handle lock on shed door some how locked me out even with the key would not open door so in desperation I sprayed carb cleaner on the key and kept working it and finally got it to unlock.
My key is such a pain in the ass. Not that it won't move, but its like the machining is off just a hair. It moves easily once you hit that perfect spot with the key.
That's a lot of work and hassle. One would think that would be made better than that. Glad I found this, tho. I've been fighting mine for months. It would open, I would take the hey out, 1 hour later the key won't go in.
I've come to the conclusion these t-handle latches are a real piece of $#it. I put lubricant in it and left it for a few days.....several months ago, and it worked great then. Put a baggie over it to keep it clean. Well guess what. Again I can't get the key in.

I was about to order new lock but thankfully came across this video and fixed it in 5 minutes. Thank you mate. Such a helpful video.
I had just given up on fixing my t handle on my truck watched this and got it working, the pliers are the secret!
Your a dead set legend mate. Not all heros wear capes. Worked an absolute treat.

Awesome video saved me a ton of money. Thank you

Mine won’t turn by hand, so I’ll try the pliers.
Thanks for posting.
Yes! Thank you! This worked perfectly!
Worked like a charm, thanks
Did not work. Just ended up twisting my key. What do I do if it spins freely but the lock does not work?
So my key inserts and rotates but doesn't lock the handle, any thoughts?
Very helpful thank you for the info keep up the great videos👍
What happens when you can’t get the key in at all?
worked for my stuck T-handle. thanks

Thank you, worked perfectly!
What if I dont have the key can a lock Smith make a key for it
Look for the number on the lock and order a key with that number from Amazon or Ebay. In this video it's j327 for example.
Thank you!

Thank you this is helpful!
I just worry I damage the key & I only have 1 to my garage door.. I'll try it using the pliers!
Yikes! I'm worried...
mine goes in fine but won't turn more than 1/4 turn, feels like it's sticking but won't go further no matter how much pb blaster I use.
Very helpful. Thanks!
It worked! Thanks
I never saw the key removed in the 'locked' position.
If this doesn't work for you, remember to try a spare key as mine was worn
this is awesome. it didn't work for me, but i think its a fault elsewhere.
Wish my key would move.. Keeps bending on me :x

Now my key turns fine but it won't lock in either position. Is it broken inside? Is it possible to take the lockset out?
