Yes David Arthur though it felt quick too and when he got it into the wind tunnel he found it was quick, about 3 watts (or aprox one jersey crease) faster than the TCR at 40KPH..
I saw one of these at a trek store today. I am into car racing, and have seen indy cars and F1 cars up close. This bike just has the look of an F1 or indy car. The aero elements on this bike just have that F1 look. Also, trek should off this red and white color scheme as an option on every bike it sells.
After the great giro 2019 of João Almeida, i started following cycling again. But never gave much attention to the bikes. The trek madone was the bike that made me fell in love with them, on one Instagram photo. An SLR 9 all silver with tan tires. For me trek has the best looking bikes
The bottom bracket area is reinforced for stiffness in sprints. This is a sprinter bike and when I rode it it does not flex at all shit is absolutely solid that’s why Mads Pederson is putting out so many watts and the frame transfers alllll of it to the wheels
Yes sure, but how you gonna do that when your chain is so long it could be wrapped 2 times around the globe! Try a bike with chainstays below 399mm than you can call it a true sprinters bike
Crazy money for a bicycle. My Émonda with Durace cost me €3,500 and weighs 1.5 kg less. Besides that, I wonder how many people buying this are really aero themselves and most of the time ride 40+ km per hour to get any benefits from that aero design.
I cringed when I heard the price. But those are the prices now for top tier bikes. In 5 years there will be much nicer looking bikes. Hard to justify the cost if the owner is not frequent rider and upgrades every few years. Carbon bikes are also quite fragile and easily so damaged so not sure if there is much to gain by selling as used.

@@GCPerformance18 Seems like a lot of people use squirt. I think I'm going to give it a try. Do you do the fully chain decreasing before the initial squirt application?
yeah idk Id argue heavily that the iso flow is not in any way making the bike lighter and is probably making it heavier if anything. By removing that section of material you’ve created a weaker geometric structure which has to be compensated for by beefing up other sections of the frame. One look at the BB area and you can tell it’s way chunkier than traditional road bike
Aye yo lus wheels. Come on man! Those wheels look like the rsl 37. Nice bike but needs deeper wheels. Slam the stem too. I have a emonda sl loaner and the 48/36 gearing sucks! This bike needs at least a 52 on the front.
It's a nice bike, but I'm totally out on Trek. Those prices are insane! The dollar is stronger than the Euro and the prices are ridiculous over here. The new Scott Foil is cheaper, that's why I'm going in that direction. Again nice bike.
I note how you said that now we are desensitised to disc brake weight. I'm not. I've got a titanium framed bike with 56/48 mm wheels and it is 7.24 kg with everything ready to roll. And titanium frames are inherently heavier than carbon, on average. It took a number of generations of the disc brakes to do people totally over for more money. Well done manufacturers!
But you have rim vs disc. Unless you're doing nothing but hill climbs, this is the faster (and safer) bike. Not to mention it's an aero frame where yours is not. You're giving up over 25 Watts to this

I’m enjoying the bike so far ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
Looks great but isn't spray from the rear wheel now unimpeded in hitting the front bottle? I hope the Trek athletes can survive spring without shitting themselves to death.
At this point, Wouldn't there be an untapped market segment for entry level bikes. Why not try to make the best bike at a $2k price point? How many of these 7k+ bikes are gonna even sell?
Bike brands sell plenty of $2,000 bikes. However, $2,000 bikes aren't exactly showstoppers and don't get us cyclists going like these "super bikes" do.
That cantilever seat tube design is such an engineering fail. Give it some time. These "aero" claims are a joke especially back there where the rider position and the whole frontal area of the bike has already disrupted airflow. LOL., Watch Hambini video on this. Bike looks cool, I'll give it that.
I dont know if it will fail as you think it will, I am sure they did there homework and also ran tests on it for a while for that main reason, am I saying that it is not impossible for this to happen.... of course not, things can happen, a couple could go bad becuase of bad production but that is what the warranty is there for, the previous gen 6 madone had so many issues with the isospeed in the rear i think this is a big upgrade

I know SRAM Red is lighter than Dura Ace. It's a rad looking bike though. I'm not sold on disc brakes for road bike or TT bikes. Why? Roads are paved for that type riding. On gravel bikes and mountain bikes I get why disc brakes are better for off road riding,
Yeah, I have a size 58 canyon Aeroad with CF SLX not even CFR and a force groupset and 58mm mid range wheels and it weights 8.18kg so only 300g more and my bike cost $7000 less

True. The most important performance part in a road bike is all the rolling mechanism like: 1. Bb 2. All bearings. 3. Precision hubs. 4. Smoother gs. 5. Overall precision & stiff wheels. 6. Tyres. Enough with winspace/pardus/yoeleo/polygon/trifox or equivalent frameset. Dude with a gopro on the stem still can win in national level race.

I hope the Trek athletes can survive spring without shitting themselves to death.
no it goes right to the back of the bike frame like always it doesnt hit the water bottles
Damn, heavy as F.
lmao
GC you’re title was wrong. You meant is this the slowest bike out.
That's so damn true 😐
lmfaoooo dammm shots fired
Hambini says that dub is not the way to go
of course, the man who sells his own bb, says not to go
So you think that all is good?
Cool bike, but if I'm spending $13k on a bike, it's not going to be on a Trek. That's like spending $150k on a Toyota.
They call them Lexus
@@janeblogs324, my point is that if I'm spending $13k on a bike, I want a premium name, not a Toyota. Trek is like the Toyota of bikes.
hey to each there own, thats why there are os many bike companies out there
At this point, Wouldn't there be an untapped market segment for entry level bikes. Why not try to make the best bike at a $2k price point? How many of these 7k+ bikes are gonna even sell?
actually, these bike are selling like cup cake. You would be surprise.
Bike brands sell plenty of $2,000 bikes. However, $2,000 bikes aren't exactly showstoppers and don't get us cyclists going like these "super bikes" do.
I'd also like to add bikes like sell because bike shops offer 12 - 18 month financing. That's how shops are able to get these bikes out the door.
How may can they sell?
By the fact that they can’t even model up with demand, I’d dare say, a lot.
A bunch!
Owner should go for domane probably

All the spacers... 😑
he is comfortbale and thats all that matters
@@GCPerformance18 *aero bike
That front wheel seems out of true with the forks and frame . 🤔
My Trek Speed Concept SLR7 is less than this. Lol. It was $13k after taxes
Did he just said they removed the ISO FLOW 🤦🏻♂️
I meant to say isospeed
Don't think that seatpost design is a good idea. Still a nice bike though I guess...
Gimmick max
54 at 17 pounds.....wonder how much a 60 weighs???🤔
I love the bike, it's alot more than I can afford or deserve. But when I look at it I can't help but think of a butthole
Anyone who will be riding this wil,be a sponsored rider…
the guy who owns this bike is not a sponsor rider lol
You show bikes that cost more than cars lol
OCLV: Optimum Cost Low Value
The IsoFlow may be aerodynamic and comfortable but it looks hideous.
The downtube and bottom bracket are comically too large
your gonna see more and more aero bikes come like that now
No! "Simplon Pride II" is fastest on the world
Or the Storck?
@@Nico-jt8ll ... or "Ribble Ultra"
idk, I have not seen to much on thatg bike but I will see more and more companies coming out saying there bike is the fastest bike in the world.... seems to be alot lol
@@GCPerformance18 I understand what you are talking about, yes, all companies are trying to claim their fastest bike. But there are tests in a wind tunnel, I can show)
Watch out, Koga's new aero bike makes no compromises. Couldn't find any official pictures.. but it's sick.
That bike is heavy for it's size I have 58CM BMC TMR02 aero bike which is like their TT bike from 2017 with Dura Ace that comes in at 17 pounds. That's with pedals, cages and computer.
Yeah it is pretty plantet 😅 but in reality it feels best on climbs. These tires and rims are light though. You just can't go fast or hold the speed when riding solo
Too heavy, too expensive, for a "nice" looking bike. Guys the industry is trying to sell us snake oil, chill.
Habituellement j'aimais trek mais alors le petit dernier cette tirage de scelle ne ressemble à rien sauf à un loupé des désigner... et ce décoche du cadre n-'apporte sûrement pas grand chose
Au cycliste.....
No it is not. What is more funny climbing bike giant tcr is as aero as this one lol
Shit is heavy.
lmao not heavy as some of these climbing disc brake bikes out there, and that was with pedals and cages
6:8 kg or below, should be the top end standard in 2023 and for the money that they cost 🙈
@@GCPerformance18 13k bike that size, it’s heavy. Pound for pound heavier than my gravel bike.
Not faster than the system
this thing is quick
Trash bike I got a real motorcycle and by the way Giant is the leader don't believe come race me I'm in Miami ☺️
I have a ton of fast guys out there on a lot of different bikes. There will always been someone faster then you
@@GCPerformance18 that's what I always say you took the words out of my mouth go Cowboys and Happy Thanksgiving
Fastest bike? Nope. S5 is faster.
I'd rather buy and build up a Trifox X8 Frame( rim brake) for only $650. Be lighter and perform better than this heavy overpriced disc brake Madone.
True. The most important performance part in a road bike is all the rolling mechanism like:
1. Bb
😴
