Throwing liquid onto a vertical surface isn't the best way to test. Why not test it on a horizontal surface? That would give a much better idea of effectiveness.
So the area covered with tape (unprotected) also appeared to clean up when hosed down did it not??? That combined with the fact that the test was done vertically makes me think you need to make another video please!
Don't hold with your hand on one side. It allows the loose side to push in and less time with liquids on it. Tie down both sides and throw from the middle.
Well, you missed a major point in your testing: The new Scotchgard is ONLY a water barrier, so any oil based stains may do much worse when compared to a solvent based protector.
I bought a gallon size of Scotchgard Fabric Protector. Can I use the proper dilution in both a spray bottle as well as a Wagner spray gun? Would the Scotchgard damage the spray gun at all? Thanks!
The dilution based on what the directions say doersn't change with the application method. The product won't damage the sprayer as long as you rinse thoroughly with water when finished Good luck
Great video. You may want to use spell checker on your screen texting and messaging during the last part of the video. (Remaining spelled wrong). Otherwise, helpful content. Thank you again. 😎👍🏼
Hi Great question!!! It depends on who you ask Generally speaking we advise reapplication every 2-4 years More importantly, it depends on: -how much wear the fabric receives -is it cleaned every 12-24 months -is it exposed to direct sunlight -does the owner spot clean high use areas often
The fabric although cotton is tan, I believe a white cotton sheet would show the results better. Hot coffee is an excellent fabric dye for white cotton and the untreated strip would show the effects of the coffee better than the tan drop cloth.
I would like to see it poured on a horizontal surface. It’s not as quick to clean up. I would like to see if it soaks in. My guess is neither product wouldn’t leave some sort of residue. 🤷♀️

OK
The obvious question of course is "What do the pro's use"?
Both
Wow excellent video!
Thank you very much!

Ok but what is it that “pros” use?

How long does the protection last?
Hi
Great question!!!
It depends on who you ask
Generally speaking we advise reapplication every 2-4 years
More importantly, it depends on:
-how much wear the fabric receives
-is it cleaned every 12-24 months
-is it exposed to direct sunlight
-does the owner spot clean high use areas often
Can this be used for outdoor carpets? Uv and water protection ?
I would not use it outdoors
They make products for outdoor fabrics....best is to make sure you get the right (synthetic) fabric and clean it regularly
The area with no protection was the cleanest 🤣🤣🤣
Yup
The fabric although cotton is tan, I believe a white cotton sheet would show the results better. Hot coffee is an excellent fabric dye for white cotton and the untreated strip would show the effects of the coffee better than the tan drop cloth.
