- Dolph Ziggler has had a turbulent career, to say the least. Having been with the company since the mid-2000s he's been a constant on screen. However, there have been many opportunities that just leave you wondering, what could've been? where he could've been? This video is a retrospective of Ziggler's extremely up-and-down WWE tenure.

Dolph Ziggler is definitely one of the more sadder stories in wrestling history. Out of everyone who absolutely deserves everything, including the top spot and becoming a multi time world champion, it was Dolph Ziggler. But with all the injuries he sadly experienced, and whenever he had chances to redeem himself, he was misbooked to death, and it truly sucks to see. He’s a great seller, he’s passionate for this business, and can deliver classics, and what does he get? No proper pushes and more misbookings. It really is sad to see, such a promising future legend, turned to a glorified jobber for life.😔
“all the injuries he experienced” He had one 30 day injury, there was no reason to destroy his whole career over it
Yeah, he had had one injury since his debut post-Spirit Squad. Sadly it was the injury that derailed everything.
@@ProdigyEraNetwork it pisses me off so much because other guys have had injuries and never lost a prominent role. Dolph was like no other guy but wwe just wanted to fumble his career.
@@track277rules apply unless you're wwes favorite...how come you guys haven't realised that
He also got robbed with the Grand Slam Champion Tag in his achievements he isn't considered as that just because the WHC title was no more active for me he's the 2 time Grand Slam winner not The Miz.
I Honestly Felt Bad For Dolph Zigglers Career
Should’ve been a WWE champion at one point
@@ulisesreyes6023 Even a 3 or 4 month Reign would've been great
WWE were so stupid not to push him Dolph has everything a WWE "Superstar" should have but just because of one injury they didn't push him
Dolph Ziggler could have been a main eventer now man...
Yes you should feel bad the multimillionaire doing a job he loves and has won practically everything in the industry
@Sarjesh Khadgi were they? They seem to be doing fine rn
not enough attention is ever given to ziggler’s spectacular in-ring work because he’s so good at selling. his selling is noteworthy because of how he’s constantly booked to lose, but if you watch his Real matches you’ll immediately see why he deserves to be a champion. he was the guy that made me fall in love with wrestling when i was a kid, and i’m still a massive fan today. still waiting for that kofimania-esque catharsis run. he really had it all.
that Kofimania type run is complete possible
Please do the return of the undertaker’s American badass in judgment day 2000.
Thanks to Dolph i fall in love with pro wrestling too ❤
He’s not even on television anymore . Idek if he’s still on the roster
..my heart zagged when it should of Zigged💕...-
The Miz,Dolph Ziggler and john Morrison are the underrated Superstars that always needed appreciated
Miz Atleast was a 2x wwe champ
Bro i really want the Miz and Dolph ziggler to be tag champs together, that would be so good.
@@kingpeso4240miz 2nd one was a joke
@@kingpeso4240so is dolph (2x WHC) but let’s be real all titles reigns from both are a complete joke
I’m still mad they never made Morrison champion 🤦♂️
Even if its just for a 3 PPV long reign, I just wanna see Dolph reach the brass ring one last time before he laces up his boots for the final time. Genuinely one of my favorite wrestlers to watch and has been so since I was a kid, you can't help but feel he deserves it.
He was my favorite ic champ as a kid
Him and the kofi fued are core memory’s of my child hood
He use to look so good with that white belt
He immediately comes to mind when I think of the IC title
It’s unfortunate considering how good he is normally I can tell why the company won’t do something but with Dolph I don’t see why they won’t
Ziggler Revealed He Like To Be Retired By One Of His Best Friends. The Miz, John Morrison, and Zack Ryder
After his performance in the 2014 survivor series match, I thought for sure they was gonna go all in on ziggler you would think right
*I really feel bad for Dolph Ziggler. The guy had all the tools to become one of the top stars of the company but it seemed like the company was never was keen on him. 2013 or 2014 I feel like would’ve been the perfect time to pull the trigger on his push but never came to fruition wether if it was a combination of bad booking, badly timed injury or just the bad timing. He deserves so much better.*
Wwe dosent care for guys like Adolph ziggler
It’s funny how they label some guys as injury prone but orton and Batista got injured all the time
They had the fans behind them
@@kingpeso4240 and dolph didn’t at times ?
@@willcee29 fans love Orton and Batista
@@kingpeso4240 Fans loved Ziggler, sometimes more. Ziggler had all the makings of a top guy and the fans ALWAYS bought into him. Show me something Batista, Orton, Dean, AJ Styles or any of them did as champion and I'll show you Dolph doing the exact same shit. Am I saying he's better than everyone ever? No. But top guy? Absolutely.
@@SapphireSandwichBoys I love dolph I’m just saying
Even Dolph knows that he was destined to be a main event star, despite being fuc@$ed over, he still stayed because he loves his career, he’s a perfect example that not all dreams despite how hard you work they may not all come true, despite being in a top spot for a bit way back then
he loves his career but he also said he's content with the money too.
Please do the return of the undertaker’s American badass in judgment day 2000.
He is such an underrated wrestler and sells moves like they killed him. His career is the exact definition of the It should have been me meme from his promo
Underappreciated*
Dolph Ziggler should have pulled a Cody Rhodes at some point in his career but he seems to care more about that money because it could have been him😂
I agree I wish he would’ve left for a year or 2 to show wwe what he could do
I can't believe wwe fired Dolph ziggler..😢
Man there was a time when dolph was pure fire ❤️🔥especially in 2012-2013 good times man 😢
You hit the nail on the head towards the end about how Ziggler is one of the few What Ifs where all the signs were there that he was the guy you could have made a main eventer, yet the company refused to pull the trigger. I will say, though, that the one mistake he made was not taking a chance on himself by going to the indies during the mid-to-late 2010s as I believe proving himself this way would have been the only way he could have possibly forced those in charge to take a chance on him.
I have been a Dolph Ziggler fan since he debuted as Nick in The Spirit Squad. 🙏🏻❤️🙂
ziggler is one of my very favorites. he made me love wrestling when i was like 10... every time i see him on screen i pray for one last great and long world championship run
Ziggler was literally the perfect wrestler and yet one concussion, Vince gave up on him😔
True. So many wrestlers that have injuries and still get championship opportunities after the fact
5:42 actually for a brief period of time the NXT championship was considered a world title and when dolph ziggler won it, it could be considered another world ritle run
Is it still considered a World Title?
That 2014 Survivor Series run by Dolph Ziggler was my favorite Ziggler moment. Been my favorite wrestler ever since.
Ziggler should have been a bigger deal than he was. He had the flamboyant charisma, the mic skills, the look and the Wrestling ability. He could have been a hit with the teen market and made IC title scene worth watching at a time when no one cared. Definitely deserved better
One of my favourite wrestlers of all time, shame he never had a sustained main event run but he was always an ever present midcarder who was always counted on to put on great show. Oh and I have to bring mention to his theme song, both “Here To Show The World” and “I Am Perfection” are two of my favourite wrestling themes.
I am so glad he got a thank you run in his NXT Championship Title Reign, it was great to see him finally win a world title again even if it was the world title of the 3rd brand 😂
Now this just hurts tbh 😢😢
CM Punk, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes were my favorite heels of that era of WWE.
Hes always been that guy, hes always been there
Dolph character matches with his moves and special move always love him😍
They released him Today😢
This is gonna make me tear up Fr this intro ALREADY got me feeling emotions, beautifully done
I read a comment watching the miz's video for dolph ziggler titled a career that never was that said: he is not a failure, WWE failed him
Dolph 😢
Dolph is such a missed opportunity. He really should have been one of the bigger names of the past decade. No one except Rollins has held the briefcase better or had a better cash-in since and I bet if he didn’t get the concussion, WWE would have seen what they had in him. He’s still easily one of their best sellers ever.
Man put the Om Shanti Om music in the background and hoped that nobody would notice
I'll remember him forever along with every wrestling fan good or bad he'll be remembered from the people that watched WWE the last 20 years
Zigler was certainly underrated. Would have loved to see him in a championship match vs. Rollins. Didn't know he won Nxt until now. Gotta check out that match.
how was the match
He’s the one who pulled me in and he’ll always be a favourite for me.
Keep this in mind about Dolph (and miz too).. he’s been with the company for 2 decades. That’s like a wrestler starting with WWF when Hogan first became WWE champ and staying until rock and Austin retired and wrestling everyone on that roster
Who’s here after his release 😢
He needs the push DESPERATELY! I have loved him since 2013 and he was just AMAZING! VKM and Hunter needs to get their shit together
Man should be recognised by WWE as the Grand slam champion.
They have done Dolph Ziggler dirty.
His money in the bank cash in and the survivor series 2014 performance was one of the best moments ❤
And now the New TNA World Champion my goat
It’s not as bad looking back at it . He became World Heavyweight champion. He was part of a couple of wrestlemanias, main events , championship matches and we all remembered as one of the most underrated wrestlers ever…and at least he ain’t at aew
His multiple ic title reigns are underrated compared to that of Chris Jericho and miz
“atleast he ain’t at aew” what has aew got to do with this video or dolph?
he ain’t at aew yet
Hell yeah I think Dolph could definitely have a solid run in both AEW and NJPW here’s the great matches I think he could have against in which places Kenny Omega and Dolph Ziggler would be a solid match Will Ospreay against Dolph Ziggler would be a hell of a match bring me Okada against Ziggler another banger as well

Big Respect for you choosing Dastan-E-Om Shanti Om in the beginning😂. A Man of Culture 🙌
Although WWE is a work, Dolph Ziggler being WWE champion could've worked.
Dolph Ziggler Is One Of The Best.
Gotta be the most under appreciated wrestler in history
One of the best sellers in the game. Hands down.
Dolph Ziggler's best years were 2012-2017. Before that he was a nobody, and after that he became the standard bearer for upcoming superstars from NXT. But during those 5 years, he proved himself to be a reliable upper midcarder that can hang with the best. Personally I think if he didn't get concussed he would have been World Heavyweight Champion until HIAC if not TLC depending on whether or not Vince McMahon still wanted Randy Orton to beat John Cena for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, however I think he would still go back to the midcard after his title reign and never hold a world title again (NXT Championship sadly doesn't count). And that's not a bad thing, he's honestly better off putting other people over like Tyler Breeze, Baron Corbin, and Shinsuke Nakamura then facing the same champions/challengers in a never-ending predictable feud.
My favorite current wwe wrestler
My Favorite WWE Wrestler & The Zig Zag Is My Favorite Finisher💯🔥
And To Me Even Though Underrated He Still Is The Best Wrestler Ever 💯
It's ironic Ziggler went to TNA when he seemed destined for it back in 2017
Dolph is a case like John Morrison. The potential to be a big star was always there, the fans bought into him over and over, but the company just didn't do anything with him. 2012/13 Ziggler was an absolute gem, I loved that trio with AJ Lee and Big E Langston
That opneing with the om shanti om instrumental made it even better!
Love your videos we need them once a week fr fr
will try my best🙏🏽
One of the best in ring talents of all time no doubt 💯
with such a great theme song he should’ve been on every show should’ve be winning ever title it should’ve been him 🤷🏾♂️
Dolph ziggler has to be the most underrated wrestler
Dude could have been the guy at one point but it just fell
My favorite wrestler
Good luck Ziggler. Hope to see you in AEW

Dolph will always be one of my favorites
This video was a long time coming. The most underrated wrestler ever. Maybe an MITB win for the 2nd time could've helped.
I’ll always pop for ziggler dude, idc he is a star in my eyes, you can go back and appreciate all of his matches, he’s not a one hit wonder, he’s a deep character with a long history and who would’ve thought that when he was just a cheerleader in 06, the man is already a legend
I love how they thought he was injury prone when 2 of those injuries were totally the fault of Swagger and Ryback who both gave Ziggler a concussion. How anyone can blame this on Ziggler is beyond me, management is stupid sometimes.
I feel like Ziggler needs a change of scenery like McIntyre, Christian in 2005 and even Matt Cardona. Leaving the WWE to find a better version of themselves or maybe having a much better run overall.
If nobody else comes to the aew I definitely would love to see Dolph Ziggler
He has more talent than 99% of wrestlers. He has the body, mic skills, charisma, moves and his style. I will always hate how they never gave him that lvl of respect he deserved, especially after 2014 survivor series
Lol no.
Where did you pull that % out of?
So he doesn’t wrestle any more right ?
i knew it was over for dolph when he started wearing pants
One the most underutilized wrestlers
Ziggler is a former NXT world champion, a two time World Heavyweight Champion. A three time tag team champion , a six time intercontinental champion and a two time US champion. Let's not pretend like he had a bad career by any means. I will say he should have won the WWE title atleast once however.
Dolph Ziegler is a essential worker and essential workers are only gifted more work. He’s under appreciated because he looks so good at losing
The Om Shanti Om instrumental in the start is perfect
As a kid I loved dolph ziggler charisma as a kid I learned how to believe in myself a lot but more cause of dolph ziggler 😏
Nah that’s crazy I was just thinking about Dolph Zigglers career and how it lowkey is a solid career… while he never did have a lengthy and continuous spot on the top his moments throughout his career are enough to carry him into a potential hall of fame inductee in the future… extremely underrated and has more moments then actual spotlight
the om shanti om music in the intro absolute perfection man.
didnt think anyone would notice haha
haha thx man btw love your content always top notch.

Great work as usual
Sting entrance destroyed Ziglers lime light which was a waste of right talent..... Undoubtedly my favourite person as I like his style
WWE has done this w/ other superstars and by 2014, especially after the Punk pipe bomb (2011), it was so jarring to see guys like Dolph, The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Fandango, Neville, Cesaro, Chris Benoit, Christian, Jericho, Sami Zayn (his push in the mainstream recently got better), Finn Balor (took awhile to push again after his injury), the Big Show (his early years could’ve been better), Mark Henry (same as Show), Kane, Zack Ryder, and many others, but Dolph for one reason or another has been overlooked constantly. It doesn’t quite make sense as to why he hasn’t gotten as much recognition in other divisions, similar to The Miz. Hes arguably someone who should’ve became a grand slam champion & it’s up to WWE creative to make it happen. I never understood why they couldn’t have made up more significant storylines for the mid-card. If they ever really invested in it, you potentially see more intense rivalries w/o them being important to the main event picture.
Dolph Ziggler still a legend he is a heartfilled star I respect his work .
He is a combination of shawn Michaels,Mr perfect and cris jericho. From looks, attitude, the style.
Call me crazy or a hater or whatever, but I’ve never understood why people like Dolph so much. Sure he can work and sell well but plenty of guys can do that. I will admit his theme song will forever be a banger tho
I mean he can talk on the mic, work well, and sell, also he isn’t boring. Zigger literally a less successful Christian.
I will always think he has enough😂. Real talk though it really is sad that he doesn’t get the opportunities he deserves. What’s more sad about it is the fact that a lot of us can relate to dolph’s wrestling career in a way weather that’s giving and getting nothing in return. Being a work horse. Or just in general having things starting to look up just to have them go south. Dolph will always be one of my top 5 wrestlers of all time. Dream match that I would love to see is dolph vs Cody for one of the belts and if anything a send off if dolph chooses to retire and putting his career on the line if he can’t win the big one anymore but to at least give him that chance to steal the show one last time
"If you ever doubted me, you don't have a clue;"
❤❤❤
Dude it’s so sad cause he’s been one of my favorites since his fued with Cena and I really hope there’s some chance he gets a world title run before he hangs up the boots
new WHC championship you never know
Please do the return of the undertaker’s American badass in judgment day 2000.
Now he’s Nic Nemith in TNA as the Big Dog
He would have been a great long term Champion, they still should do something with him
He's so underrated...
dolph was seth before seth, better seller, better wrestler, just as good on the mic. i will never understand why they didnt push him on raw.
2014-2015 Ziggler was peak in the ring
As one of zigglers biggest fan it’s so hard to see 💔
He had the 2013 cocky heel starter pack bro had a wedding with Aj Lee 😭
For me Ziggler is still the best wrestler.
I loved his spaghetti hair lol
I remember watching that 2018 Rumble and when Ziggler came out at #30 I was absolutely convinced he was winning it.
The most impressive thing about Dolph Zigglers career is he survived talent cuts
they gotta keep him cuz he brings value
@@SuperkickStudios the only value he has is his selling ability but for the most part, he’s a jobber or he gets a very small push when needed but for the most part, he just a jobber
Nice editing
