      I mix mine with Nivea moisturizer, put on one coat with a damp sponge, then i go back in with it un -diluted sparingly just where i need a bit extra coverage.

    Hi! I'm having some trouble with my estee lauder foundation which is how I ended up here! I really want to use it for prom but I find my morphe y6 brush to leave it streaky and uneven even though everything I've read says its better with a brush it personally for me worked better with a sponge. But I still can't get my cream contour to work, it takes the foundation right off and leaves patches of my skin (my face is very pink) visible through the contour! Do you have any suggestions for how to use a brush with this foundation or how to get my contour to come out nicely? I have dry combo skin if thats usefuln

    • @AshaLuxe
      @AshaLuxe  6 років тому +3

      Hey! This is going to be long... 😅😘
      I would say yes a brush is better but it's still nice with a sponge. If you are finding it streaky I'm thinking either your skin has too much moisturiser or primer on it or your brush isn't soft enough. Also your brush movements should be small light pressured downward strokes that way it will blend easily. Also another reason it can go streaky is if you are letting every layer dry in between you will need to put your moisturiser on then go straight into primer, then straight into Double Wear. Put your contour on as soon as you've blended out your concealer and foundation, no need to let it dry until all your creme products are done. I wonder what kind of creme contour it is... I would personally use a different brush with my creme contour, one that's more tapered and fluffy. I wouldn't directly apply the contour creme from the stick I'd get it on the brush and then softly press the colour onto my cheekbones etc. Once it's on, blend towards the bottom of the apple of the cheek in soft small light pressured strokes until blended as best as possible then I'd get my foundation brush and go around the edges to blend out a little better. Finish off with a damp sponge to make sure it's all blended together. If your foundation starts to dry as your'e doing your contouring just spray some MAC Fix + (or something of this sort) to dampen the skin again and keep going.
      Let me know if any of these tips help.😘
      That was so long!!! I am sorry!!😅 I now know I need to make a video on contouring... Hahaha!! Coming soon I guess 😍😂

      Simply Amonis vlogs no worries! Yes I love mixing because no one has the same colour all over their face so I like to use Cashew on my cheeks and spiced sand everywhere else. Especially in winter (which it is the season for me right now) but it's always different for me i feel I change all the time! What about you do you stay the same all year around?

    I love double wear foundation very much. My skin is oily to normal skin. I apply ANR, day matte moisturiser and the matte primer from Estee lauder. When I apply the double wear in monsoon season, it does not stick to my upper lip area and the upper cheeks area. I tried using beauty blender, brush, fingers, hydrated with the Mac fix plus and the estee lauder setting spray, radiant primer and what not. I have a huge collection from Estee lauder base and skin products..... but in monsoon season just like today, it does not sit on these areas. and I want to work it right now......... do you have any idea I can make it work?

    • @AshaLuxe
      @AshaLuxe  4 роки тому

      shells 123 wow it sounds like you do a lot which is great. Have you tried the double wear pressed powder? Try without primer on those areas and use double wear powder to set. If that doesn’t work. Apply your usual way then use double wear powder all over. Set your face with a setting spray like MAC fix + or Estée Lauder set and refresh makeup mist. Then apply powder once your skin has dried again. Keep the powder on you to touch up. Also use a small brush to apply the powder to your upper lip and cheeks. This will help you apply a good amount on those areas without it looking heavy xx ❤️❤️ let me know if that works 🤞🏽

    • @Shaily.kapadia
      @Shaily.kapadia 4 роки тому

      Asha Luxe I forgot to mention, that I set it with the double wear powder.... the foundation itself do not sit on my upper lip and the upper cheeks area. As it was happening I was trying the combination of various double wear range. I was obsessed with double wear range. I might start using it later. Currently I’m using bobbi brown and tom ford and they perform so well than the double wear.

    • @AshaLuxe
      @AshaLuxe  4 роки тому

      Hmmm I think that’s a tough one. Maybe you need to get the double wear waterproof concealer and use that all over on monsoon season. I don’t know how to make the product waterproof. Could you try the urban decay all nighter setting spray? Maybe you need a waterproof foundation?

  • @KaraLey98

    Hi Asha,
    Loved your video, thanks!! 🤗 I have a question, might be a little long to explain so here goes:
    Hi Asha,
    I bought my first bottle of the Regular Double Wear about a month ago. I got my usual shade (2N1) in Estee Lauder, but it sermed real dark on my skin. The only other foundations I have here, which are the Estee Lauder, are the Double Wear Light soft matte hydra/ and the Futurist,/ and the new/ Double Wear Sheer --->which I like VERY much. It's my favorite.
    Maybe you can tell me how I can make the regular Estee Lauder Foundation which you wore in your video today, into a lighter Foundation, both in weight, feel on the face, and make the color lighter too!
    I did get one very very very light (light in color) bottle Estee Lauder Double Wear Sheer and I added some of that to a pump of the Esther Lauder DW regular, and that vastly improve the color and the feel of the foundation-- it just didn't seem so heavy and dull or matte, after I did that. I also used MAC strobe cream UNDER it, & then seemed to Glow a little bit, probably thanks to adding the Sheer.🤗
    I didn't know that that Advanced Night Repair was to be used as a serum, since I just don't know anything about it but somebody said that you could put a drop of that in your Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, (each time you use it, not into the whole bottle) and that would lighten up a little so I'm going to try that tomorrow. What do you think of that? (Adding a drop of ANR) Have you ever done it?
    ( I got a small sample bottle of that Advanced Night Repair to do it.)
    But I do like you do, and always use a primer and I like the glowing primer MAC Strobe Cream.
    Last question: Estee Lauder had a great glowing primer, but I think it's discontinued by Estee Lauder, called *The Illuminator*. I LOVED it, but now, I cannot find "the Illuminator" anywhere, not in stores, not online now either.
    Do you have any more suggestions for lightening up the ELDW Original? ( the one you are wearing and applying in this video)
    I'm willing to mix in drops or purchase another EL foundation to mix in.
    Thank you. Hope you see this, cause I don't know if you every check comments on this video, since it's a couple of yesrs old.
    Thank you, Kara
