I sometimes buy BSG hops in Canada. I can buy IPA malt from a place called "Grain to Glass" in Winnipeg Canada. They ship to the US. It look darker than honey malt but lighter than Maris Otter. Thanks for the video. Cheers 😀👍🍻
I agree that its probably a 2 row variant. They probably kilned it to another lovibond. From a quick glance on their website they have other gimmicky grains
yeah, it's "fun" to go down the rabbit hole and figure out what Rahr owns or owns distributions rights for. A crazy amount of brands. They own Grainfather and Mangrove Jack's via buying out Bevie. BSG and Country Malt Group are the two big players in the craft malt distribution game as far as I can tell.
Sounds a little gimmicky. People have been making IPA's for a long time without it. That also doesn't mean it wasn't designed to make IPA's. I just don't think it's going to make a massive difference to your beer.
Fun! Thanks for the heads-up. I bet that you are right thatbit is just a marketing ploy. I'll test it if I can find it! Cheers 😊

Thanks for the video! Being from BC I haven’t yet even tried this malt. If I do I’ll let you know!

Wow didn't know that !
You've never hurd of BSG hops before? They're what every homebrew store stocks in ounce bags. It's the white and green pack.
yeah... think it's gimmicky too... it may be a non-german pilsen/2-row blend.... all my Hazy's i use Rahr Pilsen for my base grain
Vodicka ! Rrrrrrahr !
