Don’t forget to subscribe! I forgot to ask in the middle of the video so we have to work with what we got. My goal is 10k before 2024! Imma try to pump out some quality videos either way.
you're gonna get them 10k subscribers dont worry ;)
10.2K now! ;)
Hey I got good news for you

“Usually if you zorp your zeglot without h-locking, you can’t also guzzclip your inventory, but if you use the smuggleblitz tactic it’s made possible”
Lmfao!
This sentence gave me rick and morty vibes! XD
This is how I felt watching this video lol
This is some alien shit
Such a 99,999 iq play.
So essentially the game becomes “The Legend of: Of the Kingdom”. This was seriously cooler than I expected, great video!
The kingdom is a boy and you play as him
We've done it, boys! We've cured sadness!

Not gonna lie there is something upsetting about how much Zelda’s absence is felt by the end. In the original game you’re looking for something that’s *right* in front of you, but here she’s… She’s really just not there.
She’s really gone.
I know! Talk about changing the timeline.
Link: *jumps off*
The wind: imma carry you riiiight over here
Zelda: nah that's too far, im out
I love how this is like "pure" glitch hunting. It reminds me a lot of the difference between pure and applied math, where here instead of worrying about things like "speed" and "if there's any way this could ever be useful in a run" it's a journey to answer a question for no other reason than the fact that it's a natural question to ask, so it's interesting. And who knows, maybe these techniques will end up in runs soon, or years in the future, just like so many concepts in pure math finding applications decades or centuries after being developed.
Also the comedic timing on introducing each new glitch was incredible
Thanks!! Yeah I would love for this to work its way into being speed run viable. I actually cut out a section where I talk about it. I like to make things happen by any means and work backwards to try to make it fast. That's how I did the route for intro clip.
The year is 2026. We use this glitch every day to get the master sword in 13 seconds to skip the light dragon cutscene and then ghost glue ourselves to ganon and 1 tap him. the any % world record is 15 seconds
One day
So many patches to still get to a OOT any% run. Sounds about right for Zelda speedruns
Breath of the Wild: oh yeah so basically you press a few buttons and jump through this wall
Tears of the Kingdom: to embark on this journey, you will need a PHD in quantum entanglement, the steps you must undertake will destroy your mind, only the strongest of brains will survive, forget everything you think you know about the flow of time
Ikr. It felt like they knew that going in to making that area.
Neat how you credit the people who discovered the various glitches!
As much as I can. This ain’t all me. A lot of people put in some hard work to find the glitches I used.
@@Timberwolfeerelatedly, thanks for crediting the music used in the corner too! Never before have I been so baffled while listening to such funky music
That's neat? I thought that was kinda to be expected...
@@sirbibton it should be imo. But after being an avid viewer turned video maker, you’d be surprised how many people just make a video about something and never mention anyone.
Really interesting how there is a flag/state that just disables her model almost everywhere. Kinda was expecting her model to have a unique cutscene version that would appear but it's probably good optimization to reuse the same exact model
True! I just got the ultracam mod and Imma look into some of the cutscenes and see what happens when it transitions back to the game
Well typically in video games, to save on the RAM that would be necessary to load in assets, many assets (specifically, characters) are pre-loaded and ready to be pulled to the correct location when needed. You see a lot of this in boundary break videos where characters are just loaded out of bounds, ready to be called in
My guess is that the cutscene trigger is also the first (and only) trigger to load the Zelda dragon into the world. Due to that trigger not being activated, she's not loaded into the world at all and thus when the game runs the code to pull her model over, there's nothing available
@@Timberwolfee Did you ever get the chance to check if her collision is still loaded? Would be interesting if it was just the mesh that was hidden
I can only assume that the reason Zelda appears in the final fight is that its actually a different NPC entity. Despite sharing a model, she has different behavior routines and and likely stored in a completely separate memory location. The regular light dragon that you removed from time and space is called for all the memory cutscenes, and since that particular NPC was never spawned in the world, the cutscenes fail.
That is what im thinking too
Most underrated totk creator EVER. You're taking this game to new heights with these glitches. Keep it coming!
Wow, thanks!
Yeah they have been underated for ages! I don't know why they weren't bigger the year the game came out.
I've never seen anyone break this game as much as you. Massively underrated channel
god what a great video, i love the staggering quantity of intimate game knowledge it would take to even create a circumstance like this, and the payoff being an absolutely absurd and very broken game state, thank you for sharing this with us, it was really fun to watch!
Thanks! I learned on the way to my goals. And maybe too many hours playing the game haha
You can use a text dive to get into the well as young link in OOT. Very useful in randomizer runs.
so this is how you play in an au where zelda never decided to become a dragon
Link getting stuck against his own weird contraptions and a Korok, and then suddenly getting flinged away and the Korok being like _"Bye-Byyeee!"_
the glitches in botw and totk are something truly special. they really set themselves apart because of the amount of tools you can use to do different things, and use some glitches to actually do other glitches. and theres just so many lol
The legend has returned. Every time I see a new video in my notifications, I get really excited to see how much you've broken this time.
Awesome! I kinda like this one or two smaller videos and one big one. butttttt lol the big things are going to die down maybe.
Holy production value. This was an incredible foray into the world of crazy TOTK glitches I will probably never do.
Loved this vid! It's nice to see that the TOTK glitch-hunting community still active, and I loved your editing style (specially with how you showed the zuggle/fuse entanglement glitches)
Thanks!! I'm still going to be working away at this game, I still have some large goals and I think I'll be able to reach them if I keep at it. Also there are still a ton of people in the discords doing the lords work.
of course they're active. it hasn't even been a year
Man what a time to be alive. I'm so excited that there is such great content like this. When I was a kid I would have been so damn excited if this kind of hard core analysis had been available surrounding games :)
Same! Imagine if we had the internet like we do now for Donkey Kong Country. Now a days there are too many games for people to focus on DKC. I love DKC lol
@@TimberwolfeeDo you like donkey Kong country? Just curious

Wow I did not expect this much depth in this, I thought it was a mod video. Amazing job on the video, you earned my subscription 🙌🙌🙌
22:35 all the glitches and stuff were cool but what blew my mind the most was the subscribe button flashing rainbow when you said subscribe
Timber, you're amazing at finding glitches in this game! Your dedication and talent for discovering those hidden issues make the game even more interesting to explore! Thank you for doing this!
Thanks! I'm honestly just having fun doing it, the videos are the cherry on top!
He deserves way more than just 9.23K for creating such high quality videos and doing all of these glitches, keep up the awsome work @Timber
10k today! Lets goooo!
When watching Aonuma first unveil the game I would have never predicted this is how far the community will take it, pretty incredible when you think about it
Right! The glitches in this game are unlike any other I’ve played.
I just adore how glitches can be combined together to do complex tasks like this. Your step by step process of involving more and more elaborate glitches all at once is truly brilliant
While we were playing totk, this guy played Quantum mechanics and interdimensional timetravel. Wtf
so glad i found your videos on my recomended page and decided to subscribe! i wouldve never thought skipping the intro could softlock a mainline quest for this game
Right! That’s what I do it for! I love learning what happens when you do stuff like this. Even if it’s nothing!
I love the evolution of this video like 5 months ago you tried skipping the cutscene and could never get it to work, but months later you did it :)
Wonderful vid (I think I just started watching it’s a timber vid tho so it’ll be good)
Comment for the algorithm, love how thorough your glitch explanations are! Great work!!
Thank you!
Master sword be zooming
frickin awesome video great job, when i first picked up the game skipping the intro was one of the first things i tried… didn’t go so well. so cool seeing you pull it off!
You were probably around when that one guy was talking about how he did it by mistake and we all dove in to look.
You could probably find a modder who could give you more starting stamina to get the floating master sword
This is insane. You put so much effort in the planning, execution and editing and it shows
Thanksss!
The dedication you did to do this glitch is crazy 10/10 can't wait for more of ur vids
I saw you commentate around the TotK SR discord that you managed to got this, it's nice to see now how the whole process works. My mind inmediately jumps to the idea of how would this impact low%. There's been a little debate whether cutscenes should count as game progression, we were mainly thinking in stuff like the cutscenes in the prologue (which you skip anyways if you want to go fast) or someting like the captain construct cutscene inside In-Isa (although that one will play again if you reenter the shrine even if you have already triggered it). I lean more towards the position that cutscenes shouldn't count, although I can't deny that skipping the Title Cutscene is something pretty big.
For that to be even useful we would need to be able to perform the skip without having more items than the ones we already use for the run, which is just MNFs, so even if all the ZLOTing could be done with the MNFs which I have no idea if it is possible, we would need something else to textdive since the korok gives us the poopy, but that also gives us acces to the inventory so that alternative for textdive should also allow for that, so I doubt something like that exists.
Anyways, great job, really interesting find, and such a well made video!
Perhaps, but you do get a korok seed for the effort.
Awesome video! Super interesting to see the consequences of skipping the setting of a flag in a save file. It might be useful toggling some of these flags and checking the effects to decide what would be worth pursuing in vanilla.
I don’t know much about the flag stuff but I’m always down to test and collab.
A glitch is in fact a developer oversight. A glitch occurs when, the code works perfectly (as in no exception occurs), but it doesn't do what is expected to do, or at least not fully.
I’m looking forward to the card-based explanation of some of the glitches in play here!
Thanks for trying all the Zelda scenario, I love that you're always so thorough with these videos :D
Thanks! Tbh I do it more for me haha, I must know everything!! Then it’s fun telling everyone.
Really enjoyed how you thoroughly explored the weirdness of it all. Great work!
Thanks! Yeah I really like the eerie consequences of my actions.
Really cool and well explained breakdown of the glitches and the effects, great stuff!
Thanks Joshua! I try!
constructs breaking the laws of time just to tell you to leave their sh*t alone
Thought you meant the intro, this is better
Love seeing your channel pop up in my subscriber vids!
I learned that Zelda was in the start of the game, I never knew she was, because I never saw her
Love your videos so much
Thanks! I really appreciate that!
I would love to see an indepth video on how these glitches work like you mentioned. Sounds super interesting!
I did all that work in blender. I’m definitely going to use it!
That's wonderful😂
I would never have thought of it your way!
The background music in this is amazing
banger video as always keep it up man

Yo, timber i e been waiting for an upload. Hype!!
Another fantastic and really interesting journey through the world of TotK glitches, great job as always dude!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It's super cool that you (and others) figure this out on your own
Totk community and Celeste community should have a ridiculous tech name contest
"I ZLOT the fuse entangled zuggled sword"(forgive me for ignorance)
Vs
"Oh, I did a gultra into a spliped droost"(??????)
lmao, are those celeste glitches real? they sound made up! hahah
@@Timberwolfee Yeah! A "gultra" is short for a grounded ultra, which is a tech that (simplifying here) lets you build up extra speed by grabbing something. A "splipped droost" is mostly a meme name, but it's a special way you can dash through a spiked dream block without actually entering it. Honorable mentions for tech names are "bubsdrop", a very specific tech involving vertical screen transitions, and the "cassoosted fuper", another meme name short for "cassette-boosted feather super". The Celeste wiki actually has a nice page on all the different techs, and it's a very interesting read if you like the game. The best part is, you only ever need four of the ones listed on the page to actually beat the game in its entirety.
15:47 [korok voice] i'm not trapped in here with you, you're trapped in here with ME
Right! I really was upset that it failed but he helped me out in the end. It was a “Close” call. Lmao
great video, hoping for the detailed glitches video soon
Ive never played this game but I'm glad i watched. This was very entertaining. Some serious inter-dimensional cable vibes. You really seem to have an intimate and in depth understanding of this games mechanics. Very nice
hey, just a heads up, i think the previous thumbnail was a lot better since it didnt spoil the big twist of the game... you could also change the title to "light dragon" instead of zelda, but i know thats a bit lame and you already call her zelda in the video
The way you explain how the glitches work is interesting!
Hopefully that’s a good thing! I try haha
That's the most absurd set-up I've ever seen. I love it.
Another great video about stuff I barely understand :’)
I don’t blame you. I feel like I don’t understand half the time. I just brute force until it makes sense haha
You deserve so much more subscribers dude u out so much work into this ❤
You are so horribly underrated !! Immediately subbed. Loved the video
Also great choices of music !( gotta love bossa nova)
you even went to the extend of testing everything I could think about.

My brain has melted listening to all the glitch jargon, but this is awesome.
i love how the text dive is just a modern version of an OOT navi dive :’) feels oddly nostalgic
You are absolutely awesome for using loop hero ost
I love it! It’s hard not to use it every time!

That’s hilarious tbh!
WE GETTIN' OUTTA THE DEPTHS WITH THIS ONE ‼

That was a totally crazy tech demo of breaking TotK with a bunch of. 'Hey you'll never do this but I'm kewl for doing it'
And you are man. 🎉
I can't believe there are glitches that let you transfer items between games.
That’s my favorite part tbh
Great video, ceep up the work my man
Probably not, but I can’t help wondering if this could also be used to skip The Great Sky Island
Just checked and, yep, I'm still excited to consume the obscure and interesting quirks of this game :) thank you!
That’s my goal! I want to give people a reason to still be interested in the game.
I love how the korok just says bye bye and fucking banishes you to the shadow realm
My exciment is immeasurable and my day is saved

this has the energy of a pannenkoek video about mario 64. grats
Thanks I’m not sure I’ve seen his stuff. Probably have, but either way I’mma check it out! Thanks for the info!
Really like the explanations in the Video! Also, If we find a better way to graphically display the world sections, we can have much better idea of areas that trigger certain events, flags, ect. As of what I know, the map logic seems to be similar to botws. (LinkTagAnd/Or/And EventTags, ect.)
That solo Master Sword would make a sick background XD Ty for another great video!
I'll send you a higher res image if ya want it!
botw intro skip: just clip thru a wall and run away from the cutscene trigger
totk intro skip: an entire goddamn lesson of theoretical mathematics
brilliant video, i love this so much
Jeez timber you didn't have to flex your genius so hard
Incredible video. Excellent.
Thanks Edward!
You're just... fascinating !
Text diving? I think you mean Navi diving. Can’t pull a fast one on me
I've literally never seen the title. My TotK stayed in sleep mode for the entire duration of my playthrough.
Godly dedication. Godly video
Thanks! I try!
@@Timberwolfee you succeed
I think TOTK glitches can be considered a field of science
It honestly feels more like arcane magic to me.
Solve real world problems with totk glitches.
Need to find a good way to implement this to any%
Not this method, I’ve really tried and I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s not likely.
the background music is sooo good
the voice is soo good too
and how'd you come up with these unique video ideas :O
I just think of things that’ll be fun and interesting. Like what would I wanna watch? Also like only one person can be the first person to skip the title cutscene so I’m after that too lol.
Also thanks for the compliments! 😻
when i got the mastersword i just got the finale geoglyph and then shot out of the tower as fast as i could and landed on her cranium to rip out her hair
I love how this video is basically on the level of SM64 'parallel universes' in terms of glitch sophistication
This fields like complicated physics theorems but its just game glitches
