Piedmont is not a rural town anymore. We're packed in here like sardines & taking land from people who have lived here all there lives . Crumbling roads & ridiculous high taxes. Greenville side of piedmont is ridiculous
You are correct in saying that Piedmont (and it's neighbors, Pelzer and Powdersville) are NOT rural anymore! The benefit to growth is that it strengthens the economy, but the other side of the coin is that infrastructure takes time to "catch up," and lot sizes become smaller. As families (who have owned land for years and years) sell to grow their own wealth, we see more developments. While the Upstate is still affordable as compared to other parts of the country, the overall cost of living has increased, and people are selling more and more land to developers to be able to "make money."
What community was that in the beginning of video?
