Yeah it’s like that with korean parents. Growing up I was always jealous of some of my american friends whose parents wouldn’t call them out in this way, but now I’m kinda thankful for it. Tho Jihoon is honestly what most korean parents would consider to be a “failure”, and that’s not me personally saying that I just know the culture enough to know that’s what most older korean adults would think of him

The fact he can’t even go there and check the house himself seriously that’s just lazy he needs to work together with deavan I’m pretty sure if Deavan booked it she probably ask jihoon to have a look at it as he is already in korea and he can’t even search an apartment himself that he is already in korea that’s just lazy right there and he has to let deavan booked online seriously which he can’t even go and check it for himself he has a lot of growing up to do

I used to like and feel bad for Jihoon’s mom because he’s horrible when it comes to basic responsibilities you should have, especially when you’re 30 (having a stable job, income and being financially responsible). But I learned later in the season that she’s the biggest enabler I have ever seen. Part of the reason Jihoon is how he is is because she enabled him, especially with money.

Yup I agree with you. When my husband and I got married we were not rich (but we knew how to budget!). A couple of years later we worked hard and are financially stable. We are proud of ourselves for working together on our goals. Not everyone starts successful.
