I have asked them questions via email and even called Korean immigration IN KOREA and have gotten entirely wrong answers or literally in an email "i dont know. i dont get this type visa" from the EMBASSY IN CHICAGO. I had to get correct info from FACEBOOK of all places. Another foreign spouse emailed her local embassy in Finland and they said "Ask your Korean husband to email us." So he did. And copied and pasted her email 🤣 To get an answer, she had to call the local KOREAN AMBASSADOR that she somehow randomly knew. Korean bureaucracy is a shit show. They don't keep anyone in any position long enough to actually learn anything before 'rotating' them. You'd think they'd ask their boss or senior but no, they don't want to look like they don't know what they are doing.

I have asked them questions via email and even called Korean immigration IN KOREA and have gotten entirely wrong answers or literally in an email "i dont know. i dont get this type visa" from the EMBASSY IN CHICAGO. I had to get correct info from FACEBOOK of all places. Another foreign spouse emailed her local embassy in Finland and they said "Ask your Korean husband to email us." So he did. And copied and pasted her email 🤣 To get an answer, she had to call the local KOREAN AMBASSADOR that she somehow randomly knew.
Korean bureaucracy is a shit show. They don't keep anyone in any position long enough to actually learn anything before 'rotating' them. You'd think they'd ask their boss or senior but no, they don't want to look like they don't know what they are doing.
