I love the calliope. I got it on sale. It is soo much fun especially when you launch rockets across the map and get a kill.
One aside. Even if the rocket rack is empty you can still be ammo racked. The entier rack is also treated as one block, not individually l. So even if an empty tube is hit you can be racked.
That needs to get fixed

I’ve played this tank in Ab it’s extremely fun and hilarious to get kills in it against T34 medium tanks and pretty survivable in downtiers.. it’s extremely fun for just a meme tank and support tank… they should add the American t40whizbang … only has 20 183mm Ap and HE rockets
I got the Calliope for free.I haven't used it much. Though I don't even remember how I got it... probably one of the Huge Trophy boxes for logins.

The M26 T99 technically used to be, just because you literally couldn’t buy it unless you first bought the Calliope. Other than that, yeah, as far as I know of.

@@adrewadrew5860Panzerwerfer is only around 4800 GE. Only thing I can think of is the F-89D cuz of mandatory purchase of F-89B or 2S38 but I'm sure 2S38 is cheaper.
I got a 75% discount on this many years ago. So i bought it without hesitation. But i haven't played it in years.

Being spawn killed 10 seconds into a match happens far more often than you might like an artillary shell can and will instakill you....that goes double for CAS.
Worth noting you can spam a few rockets into a corner your planning on going round and more often than not catch out something camping even if you can't kill them indirectly knowing something waiting for you is fairly usefull.
Oh and the right click zoom-in is worthless as your peripheral vision is blocked by the struts around the turret.
I'm with this game since 2013 and now that there is another sale again, damn I just finally bought it since it is very unique and also since this BR is the most fun to play with!

Simple answer. No. Even with the discount the price is still too ridiculous for a vehicle that's so easy to kill. It's just a meme tank imo. If I ever hear one I just switch to HE and detonate the rocket rack.
Same, one of the few reasons I carry HE when I play the Tiger

@@gavinjenkins899 you are correct. Many times I see em though someone brings it up to Tigers br range, as a general rule of thumb I carry HE on just about every tank for light targets and open tops
I'll just keep hoping to get it on one of the daily login big chests. I play six different accounts, each a different Nation. So far I'm up to around Day 70 on most of them and no luck so far on getting any kind of vehicle let alone a Calliope.
Why don't you just play one account and multiple nations..?
@@lexonfors I used starter links that gave me free premium vehicles, 7 day premium time and SL for each nation. Can only play one tree at a time anyhow and can't trade crews between nations. So the nation's and their tech trees are kind of isolated anyhow even if you have them on one account. This way I get a chest/boosters for ea nation every day. Only down side is slower research for squadron vehicles...

Grinding events and battle for free premiums is better way to boost then promocode and obtaining rank 1 or 2 premium in diffrent accounts.

I've had the calliope for a couple years now, but almost never use it. I know I never paid that much, or even half that. Not worth the 50% off right now either.

I started my tank grind a week or so ago and when I saw this tank I was dumbfounded at the price compared to everything else. Top tier price at 4.0 br is ridiculous. Also apparently I've been pronouncing "Calliope" wrong in my head because I thought it would sound like cal-ee-ope

To Tankenstein's credit...i've never seen him camp a spawn point in any of his videos...although I am sure he has ended the matches of many a noob before they scored a point.....so.... does Anyone here remember being a new player? How is it that this game has been alive for 10+ years and no attempt to separate new players from bored Baby Seal Cubbers?!! Why isn't there a Level Based Matching system to keep Level 100 players from decimating level 20 and below??? I mean...how come players haven't stormed the fucking gaijin offices and clubbed them like baby seals until they learned a smidgen of empathy for their newest players??? Fuck this is a frustrating learning curve when you drive out and blow up 75% of each match without even getting the opportunity to take a shot at anyone? Progression...pffffffftttt....new players don't Progress...they are DIGESTED.
