I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!! I had it on VHS and watched it a million times. This is one of the best scenes in themovie. Up to this point, I don't think many of us knew that Glenn Close could sing! The Cleopatra scene in the move was also fantastic. She was such a good comedian and a great actress that when she played both roles, it was eash to tell which character she was portraying. Please, watch it!!!

This was when Glenn's film career was starting to take off. I remember this scene was when I realised she was a very rare all round talent. And then in quick succession Fatal Attraction and Dangerous Liasons and the world knew how brilliant she was.

I don't care if Siskel & Ebert gave this film 2 Thumbs Down (!), Glenn Close killed the hell out of this performance.

Siskel and Ebert were highly overrated!

Why is this never shown on TV anymore? At least it should qualify for AMC , TNT or Retro. I loved it the fist and only time I've ever seen it in the early '9'0's.

Watched this on HBO when I was little, every time it was on. Such a fun movie!

From "Maxie" - marvelous performance. Glenn's sensuous moves and full-bodied voice dramatize the sexy nuances of the song - the first time I understood what it's all about.

The 1st time I watched this movie with on DVR in the Late 1990s. I was amazed how how much of a magnificent and fantastic picture this is. One of the greatest acting with the whole cast that you rarely see today. This movie will captivate you from the very beginning all the way to the end there are no slow spots in this film. I'm lucky that I have the movie, to purchase this movie I suggest you Google and see where that leads you. The movie is call maxie with Mandy patinkin and Glenn Close, P.S. Especially now that its quarantine and the United States and the rest of the world mostly, You can get this movie on Netflix and other various channels like that I highly suggest you do. This is a movie the whole family will enjoy❤❤❤👍

Why did this charming film get such lousy reviews and die at the box office?

Robert D. Carver , I saw it in the movie theater and could never understand why it didn’t do well. Possibly because Glenn Close and Mandy Patinkin were just starting out?
