Well, she got an Oscar nomination, sooo…. Obviously Close did. Douglas would have had it not been the same year. I still can’t believe that Close lost. Superb performance.
@@paulvoorhies8821 never seen moonstruck, don’t like Nicolas Cage.. but for me as much as I love Oliver Coleman.. Close should have won for The Wife, great film with impeccable acting
@@maillad Agreed as well. She said more with her eyes alone in that movie than any other actress I’ve ever seen. That loss was a real slap in the face from the Academy. 0/8. 😝
Married men didn't mess around for a long time after this film was made. Play Misty for me, was the first real fatal attraction, though. With Clint Eastwood. It was just as frightening... No man is worth going that nuts for.
Don't get me wrong, Alex and Evelyn are both frightening but Evelyn to me was much scarier....Jessica Walter was fantastic in that role and Glenn Close was too!!!!
I notice that Michael Douglas often plays against strong female characters like in 'Disclosure' with Demi Moore. Don Sutherland as Bob Garvin is quite the puppetmaster in that movie
Why would any man have an affair with a woman who he barley even knows and plays games and fucks with her head and pretends that he is in love? I know ... women do it too play with men's emotions and have sex and cast them aside. This woman didn't let this man get away with it or even call on it. Bad things happen to people in realtionship when it comes to something like this. She messed up that guys' life so bad and he wasn't innocent in all of this he made a bad mistake and it bit him in the ass big time. We need more women like Alex but we have alot of women like that out there who just as crazy as Alex is look at Lorena Bobbit. Give that woman a metal.
Maybe INITIALLY she was a victim 🤔 although that's a stretch because she KNEW the situation, she KNEW he was married and he made it very clear from the start that it wasn't going to be anything but a short fling. So , definitely not a victim except that he used her like a she was an unpaid prostitute. As a single woman, I'm always careful of this. Men, both married and single who just want to fuck with no commitment. I tell them, go and get a prostitute, you won't be USING me. As a result I stayed celibate for 7.5 years.
Depends on the reason. I think what Close meant is that she’s a victim of her mental illness, borderline personality disorder. The trouble with that though is that a lot of people kill because they have antisocial personality disorder (are sociopaths). It’s clearly a lot harder to look at them as victims, even though, if we apply the same standard, they are. See how quickly things become tricky in Psychology mighty fast?
I don't think Anne Archer gets enough credit, Glen Close and Anne Archer with Michael made this film, timeless and unforgettable .. a great film

@@paulvoorhies8821 Close was brilliant and continues to deliver.. for me Archer should have won best supporting
@@maillad I’m an “Oscar freak” and Close’s loss to Cher is the only one in history I just can’t stomach. The injustice makes me sick.

Glenn Close is my favorite actress!
I love this movie and the actors are so great!
Such a good movie. I just watched it twice in one week for the first time.
ooh I had filmnet as a kid!! Loved the behind the scenes stuff made me wanna make films!
My favorite, I see it 3 times a week.

fatal attraction was the 80's
Best actress
Absolutely should have won the Oscar.

What about Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct
Que mujer tan hermosa Anne Archer.
Glenn is very beautiful

Where was your husband last night?
Who wrote this, a third grader?😂
Glenn Close's daughter is named Annie Maude Starke?
I always felt they made a mistake with this scene. Alex says they met a few weeks ago and yet she's already told him she's pregnant
Glen Close has s very sexy voice in this interview. It seems a very conscious affect, yet sexy still the same.
3:22 - :46 That can certainly get one's attention.
Anyone wanna say anything?
Why??
@Mary Keaton yeah, I thought Anne Archer's eyeshadow was kick ass too. Those rose pastel tones really complemented her. Very 1980's.👀💄💋👠
@@elizaarindero3615 Curiosity.
It is great to think if Kathleen Turner played Alexandra Forrest instead of Glenn Close is that I thought Michael Douglas fights Kathleen Turner.
Anne archer should have been the mistress and glen close the wife
Hey that's an interesting spin.
She's manipulative but she's a victim. Ok Glenn.
Really. So if a man is a psychotic stalker, is he a victim?
She’s a victim of her mental illness, borderline personality disorder.

Claramente Alex es una mujer enferma y Dan la usa y luego la maltrata y ella enloquece aún más.
The original ending would have been a much better fit for the movie.
Why dose Anne always play supressive people? Always the victim less the last 60 seconds.
Does she?
It's called being typecast. It happens a lot with actors.
So if a man acts nuts and psychotic like Glen did in this movie, is he a victim?
