Yes. I realized that as well now. He did always seem sad even with all the jokes he was telling, which is why I always feel sad every time I watch his interviews now.
I realized that on the "actors studio" video that still can be found, when james Lipton cut him off on his tangents he looked so fragile and sad and the first time I watched it made me fell bad, And I didn't realize back then, but when he died I watched the whole interview again and went "oh, I see it now" so sad, really.

Aww, I miss Robin so much. He played many memorable movie roles. He made a couple of my absolute favorite movies. He wasnt just a funny and great actor, he was a great considerate person too, which many have described after his death. He was humble and wasnt like many of these famous people who just want to be known as a humanitarian because it is sort of a trendy thing amongst rich people to be considered as such. I whished he was still amongst us. 😢
Robin Williams seemed to be such a genuine, kind and lovely man. I was so sorry to hear about his death. As someone who's had a lifetime battle with depression myself and yet is most often described as cheerful and optimistic it can be hard to explain to others how awful the pain can feel. I hope if you know someone fighting mental illness that you can be there for them and let them know it can get better.
I hope you are getting help for your depression addy & that you have a excellent team helping you. Robin was not only dealing with his demons but had been diagnosed with Parkinsons. I can understand why he ended it all. R.I.P. Robin.
Isn't it amazing how you would never have known how much internal pain he was in before he died but how every now and then you can see a little bit it afterwards.........so sad. Just scary to think how many people around you might be feeling the same and aren't saying anything........
The one celebrity death that really struck me harder than many ... such a funny man who tried so hard to make others laugh when he needed happiness the most :(
This great comedian actor and human being was one hell of wonderful talent. He could make fun of himself all the time and little did anyone know he was feeling the exact opposite inside. Very sad to watch these reminders now but glad to have them just the same. Robin Williams "What a concept" as his early well known comedy friend once said during the awards ceremony.
What a legend. Would love to have met him. He's suck a showman and loves to play the clown. But if you see him in some of his interviews including this one, I do think you see that darkness and low self esteem leak out ever so slightly. And lastly, yes, yes you can, Robin Williams being a prime exanple
Have a good 1 (Y)
I miss him and his ability to make us laugh. His casting, his comedy. How terribly sad that we could not show him the love we all had for him.
The great thing about Robin was that he could go into any type of humor and he would still be a comedic genius. We miss you, Robin.
God, I so miss Robin Williams.
He was one of a kind.
Hope he found the peace he so much wanted.
This mans humour was incredible, made me laugh so much as a child, and still does today just as much, as an adult. Legend!
I could imagine tom hanks robin Williams and bill Murray being best mates
and jim carrey :D
also Bill Bailey
I couldn't
Daniel Patten would of been a great trio for a movie
Daniel Patten it was him and deniro with Belushi when he passed
Robin will always be the best! He had fun with everyone and everything and just made life for us who watched him so much better even if only for the few minutes he was there. He's not gone he just got a new and better gig, bringing joy and laughter to all those who went before us.
We miss Robin, but take solace in the fact that untold generations will be laughing at his humour for as long as humanity exists.
Well put. His humor was so sharp that it will never dull.
me too :(
Oh Robin, you are missed. Truly, he was one-of-a-kind.
it's great. when you watch footage you havent seen before, it's almost like he's still here. RIP
Remembering him, not as a victim but the beautiful soul he truly was till the end.
“We were drunk!”
“Okay, ‘we were drunk’...”
“No shit!”
I loved that.
What an extraordinary moment to be one of those audience members and have Robin Williams laugh with you. I hope they treasure this.
***** when you can make a comedian like robin laugh, that is the most beautiful thing in the world.
I love him to bits. You truly don't know who you've lost until they're gone. He was a blessing to us!
"Nobody knows but Robin." I guess we didn't know how true that was till it was too late.
What a treasure, I miss Robin.
He was loved by many. Especially me.
I'm watching and crying. For some time I've accepted his departure. But now it's like opening an unheald wound. But still, I am glad to see this. ❤
The one celebrity death that really struck me harder than many ... such a funny man who tried so hard to make others laugh when he needed happiness the most :(
Miss him so much. A huge heart and talent lost ❤️
There will never be another like Robin Williams
One of the only people in the world that was capable of turning the shittiest day into a good one in a matter of minutes.
What a wonderful wonderful man.
We miss you, Robin.
Funniest person to ever walk the earth as far as I'm concerned. He brought a lot of joy to a lot of people.
What a legend. Would love to have met him. He's suck a showman and loves to play the clown. But if you see him in some of his interviews including this one, I do think you see that darkness and low self esteem leak out ever so slightly. Watch the last couple of seconds of this video when he looks down, I don't know I just sense he is trying so hard to hide his pain and for a moment it shows here. RIP Robin
This was in my recommendations ..
I started laughing for the almost the whole video. At 4:10 I started to feel tears Pool in my eyes.
God.. this man is missed so much..
Not all heroes wear capes. This man WAS my childhood.
We miss you robin total genius lot of people still love you RIP 🙏
He's TEEMING with funny stuff to say! He acts even crazier than he does in his movies here! He was a beast.
One of the world's most beloved comedians and actors. He was so loved yet inside silently dying 😢. Depression is a silent killer. No one should do it alone
Oh Robin you were such a riot. Even many years later it's still hard talking about you in the past tense. Rest in peace.
loool. the hair joke always gets me haha. robin always spits out random jokes like a loose canon, and yet he's smart enough to know that if a joke works well, he shouldn't change it. brilliant :p
poor man, the world misses him
“I will be on you like shit on Velcro”
Robin Williams
Such a missed legend still can’t believe he is no longer with us.
Robin Williams is the greatest comedian to have ever lived what a national treasure....
