    Can you give any insight on to why the panels have a closed back?
    I haven't seen something like this before!
    All the best Jesse

      My knowledge here's limited, but I'll try: The wood backing turns it into a sealed diaphragmatic absorber which allows the panel perform significantly more effectively in lower frequency areas.

      Greg Scott used to hang perforated umbrellas from the ceiling and stuff them with recycled denim as ceiling clouds :)

    Super exciting!! What type of membrane absorbers are you doing?
    I’m finishing building my MLV membranes that Gerhard designed next week.

      MLV my man. Completely destroyed some of it while trying to attach it last night hahaha. Trying again today.

    Looks good! How high are ceilings? Are they sloped? How far do you plan on placing the speakers from back wall?

    • @jesseraymix
      @jesseraymix  6 днів тому +1

      13' high A-frame ridge that slopes down to 8ft where the ceiling meets the walls. Speakers will be riiiight against the wall :)

    Will you please measure the room like Eric Valentine did for his studio?

    • @jesseraymix
      @jesseraymix  7 днів тому

      Haha definitely. Admittedly, I won't be taking this journey quite to that level of extremities to get the room perfectly "flat", but I'll absolutely be measuring in order to optimize things like speaker placement, additional treatment, before-and-after membrane absorbers etc.

    It would have been cool to see a REW plot before placing, and then after placing the absorbers. Where did you get the design for these panels?

      Gerhard Westphalen, he has a website and you can hire him for room designs. He’s great and super affordable

    Hey Jesse.
    How deep are those panels?

    • @jesseraymix
      @jesseraymix  6 днів тому

      9" ! The ones in the back of the room are 23" deep lol

    Why would you close the panels with wood? They would be more effective without no?
