Next week, 28th of december, it's Barcelona's metro 100 birthday! The celebrations will take place during 2025 (authorities said 2024 felt pointless given it only opened at the end of the year). There'll be visits to historic areas and ghost stations, a race along the metro tunnels, the aesthetic restoration of historic metro cars, and more things!
Those new skyscrapers confuse me, because they are called "Eurovea Towers", although there aalready is an existing "Eurovea Tower" next door. So I wonder if they will be Eurovea Towers 2 and 3.
The problem with residential skyscrapers is the costs. Not only construction and purchasing cost but the maintenance. High rises have high maintenance costs which results with a very high monthly fee or lack of maintenance that quite quickly turns it int a slum.
You can talk about the progress of the new tram line in Bratislava next time, the tracks are finished and the line will be opened till summer of next year
Good to see more and more cities embrace driverless metro operations. To me, drivers on trains seem as out of date as elevator operators became after pushbutton operation became standard...
1:48 this must be a rail line quadrupling or some kind of signalling update because trains between Mumbai and prayagraj did operate . You can even check that in Google Maps . It almost takes 23-25 hours now to travel between Mumbai and prayagraj .
I don't know if you've said it before on this channel, but the new train station in Mons, Belgium is finally opened and it looks really cool (even though it was 10x the initial budget lol)
@@cityforall Oh and an additional fun fact: a new Ouigo link between Brussels & Paris was launched on 19 December and even though it's 3 hours instead of 1h30, it is way cheaper & stops at the new station in Mons
The video I look forward to every Sunday

I believe they don't have a name yet, but yes, they are in the Eurovea city zone
Nice video as usual! Merry Christmas!
Thanks! Same to you!
I don't mind residential towers, and I think that I'll like living in a medium tall one
Oh I'd gladly live in the Bratislava tower. To each their own.

New weekend - new video issue!
Thanks for a great and informative video , but in English one doesn't say vagon. One says carriage , coach, traincar or simply car.
Thanks again.
