Awesome job on your dansco 70/70. Congrats I’m finishing it. I too noticed your comment on treasure towns video. Glad I found your channel. I recently just finished my 20th century proof type set. Pretty proud of it. Check out the videos I posted if you’re interested, you may enjoy! Subbed ya by the way!
I have an authentic racketeer nickel…gold plated in antiquity. I love the coin and love the story behind it. It’s one of the coins that I consider a special coin in my collection.
Great set. I love to see them together. I’ve always been hesitant to buy a trade dollar due to counterfeits, but yours looks pretty awesome. Maybe one day I’ll finally splurge on one.
Thanks Donnie. I have a completed Franklin set but they are all heavily circulated and in pretty rough condition. Some day I will work on upgrading the coins.
That is impressive. I would like to add the gold page if I can track one down at a decent price. Then the problem is fillin it. Only have three coins so far for it. I'm going to post a video soon with better close up shots of each coin in the 7070. Thanks for watching
@@ScottUrbach Expensive, but not if you consider how much they'll be in a year, 3 years, and 10 years because of the deteriorating US dollar. Consider these purchases part of your stacking.
Really enjoy your set. I'm working on one as well. I added 4 2x2 sheets to add older and newer coins to the set. This is a life long set to put together for me. Take care.
Thanks. I agree that it will be a fun lifelong quest to put together a set by continually trying to upgrade the ones you already have. Thanks for watching.
Thanks John. I have only really become more serious about the collection in the last year. Believe me I use more than one magnifying glass to help see the coins better. Thanks for watching.
Congratulations on completing your type set, Scott. I completed mine about 30 years ago (or so). One thing I noticed is that your Colombian Expedition commemorative is in the album "backwards". The date side is always the obverse.
Great collection! I’m slowly transitioning from a stacker to a collector. What would you say is your most expensive coin in this set? How long did it take you to complete it?
Now that’s a quality type set, sir! Very much enjoyed this. Seems that with the pre-Morgan dollars, there’s always one coin that raises eyebrows regarding authenticity ... mine is my no-motto seated dollar, which I’m now about 95% sure is counterfeit. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Derfo. I just took a look at your set on your channel. You have some really nice coins. Much better than mine. Particularly like your half and large cents.
I like that album. I currently don't have a type set album yet. I'm currently working on the Modern Commemorative Dollars and have a lot to go. I just won 3 of the 1995-1996 Olympics uncirculated Dollars for cheap on ebay today and can't wait to add them to my albums. I hope to have this set done by the end of 2021.
I am currently working on my 2nd US type set. It was my favorite set to put together. I am also working on a few other sets. the 3 cent silver set along with the Classic commemorative set are the 2 im pushing. about 2/3 done w/both.
@@ScottUrbach I've been doing this for some time now...have several coin sets and I love collecting large US currency notes. Have you done anything with currency?
@@jeffbowen2001 I have a small collection of large note US currency and some older world notes that I have collected over the years. I have posted a couple videos if you would like to take a look.
Running Eagle thanks. I agree that the trade dollar has definitely been cleaned and I was OK with that. More and more though I’m thinking it is a counterfeit.
@@ScottUrbach yes that is the fun part i know i have upgraded a few in mine as i run across them. I was starting to watch you other video of danscos as well. They can be addictive i think i am over 40 different albums now, i know i have a playlist of all mine and once in a while ill take the time to film them all.
Thanks. Yeah the Dansco albums have gotten a bit expensive since their production has been so limited lately. I’m going to post a video soon with better pics of each coin.
I can only imagine the sense of accomplishment to COMPLETE the US Type Dansco Album! I've got a long way to go. Even without coins, you've an enviable collection of Dansco Albums complete with sleeves. I love my US Type book, and have two of them. Although, neither one is complete, heh. A tip for anyone reading this who has had a problem I've had. If you lose either or both pieces of a binding post, you can get perfect replacements at your neighborhood hardware store.
Very very Nice!! I finished mine last year, It is my absolute favorite! I am working on a second one of manipulate;ated coins, such as love tokens, hobo nickels, counterstamps etc.
Infamous - thanks. I have one old love token with my wife’s initials and a couple of counter stamped coins. Love your idea of a complete set of uniquely altered coins.

nice job. this video is 3 years old. have you continued to upgrade the coins in this album or just move on to something else? i am working on it now, i sometimes upgrade things as i go along.
Great Dansco. I was going to do a talk at my Local coin club and watched your video. I felt it was very informative. If you get a chance to go watch my play list on my 7070. I completed it about a year ago. Great video
I’m new to coin collecting and have recently been given a set. Do you break open mint sets to place in these collections? Or just try to find the nicest grade/shape of each coin? Thanks for any advice!
JH - I actually did both with this album. I broke up one or two mint sets, but mostly just filled it with as nice an example of each coin that I could find - and afford! Plenty of opportunities to upgrade many of the coins with nicer examples going forward. Thanks for watching.
One Dolla - I don’t recall exactly what I paid but I know that they were some of the most expensive in the collection and the last ones I added. Thanks for watching.

I have watched 5 videos in the last few days where the person was going over there Type Set collections and every single one has a 1923 Peace Dollar in it i just though that was funny!!!
I just though it was curious but I guess it make sense the 23 Philly is the second most common date somthing like 30 million. So it stands to reason most people would use that or the 22.
