Back when I was putting my type set together, years ago, I was able,in time, to complete it. All of the coins were in good to uncirculated condition. Even my 1793 half cent and cent, my 1795 dime,1795 half and 1794 dollar. All were good with no damage. But there was one exception: I could not afford a good or better 1796 quarter. Even bsck then it was expensive. So I found a decent deal on a VG which had some scratches on reverse only. I see now that these coins have gotton really expensive!
I started mine in 1962. Finished it in 1982! They were all bought raw. I'm 73 so I gave my collection to my grandson. He loves coins. He got lucky recently. He got $1000 of halves looking for silver and part silver. One roll was all uncirculated 1948 P. That was first year so somebody put a roll away. The rest only had 2 40%.
I completed mine a few years back. I've been upgrading since then. Wish I would've held out for better coins the first time around. The classic head large cent is a tuff coin to find a nice problem free raw example, I'm not cracking out a $2000 xf slabbed example.
Got my basic type set done. Lately been putting together a set of high graded/proof set. Its a long term goal, but what do you do when you have the basic one done?
I just got my dansco 7070 yesterday! I have to go thru my safe and start filling it. I think I can fill mine all except the seated dollars and trade dollar. I have a problem tho. I have complete sets of coins in albums and I am gonna have to Rob some of them to fill the type set. I think I'll put the nicest ones in my type set and just put fillers in my other sets. Also I have a 20 cent but its graded and I don't want to crack it out so I probably will have to buy a raw one. I have only put 2 pennies in it so far bc they weren't in the safe yet but they are bu coins. I can't wait to have time to sit down and go thru my collection. Also I think I'm cut open one of my silver bicentennial sets to put in the 3 bicentennial spots. Prob will do the same with the regular ike. Might put in a proof or a 40% silver one. Not sure yet. Might cut out a blue or brown ike for it. I will have alot of upgrading to do in the future and replacing some I have to Rob from my other complete sets. Awesome book!! Congrats on it. I would love to get the gold page also but that may have to come way later in life!!
What is the newer commemorative half dollar? WW 2 related? I could not tell. I actually found the Stone Mountain coin CRH. Is the Washington half dollar coin Silver?
Hi Silverpicker, I have one dollar coins in 1972 1979 2000….and also one cent in 1941 1944 1946 1959 and more. Some of the coins are Rare. I would like to know if the coin worth anything and Who I could sale it too? Please let me know thank u…!
Hello i just wanted to ask you something about a 1 coin that i rarely seen in some videos about coins and it is a indian silver head dollar i dont know if it is rare so i was thinking can you say to me is it rare or not sorry if my english was bad i am from Croatia.(:
I'm not quite sure what was more upsetting, watching you replace a lightly clean coin with one that was severely Wizzed, or watching you rip open the two by twos exposing the coins to possible Staples scratches. You really should just use something to pierce the mylar window so the coin pops out without any risk. smh
Hello Sliver Picker. nice 7070 Dansco Album. I working on mine as well. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

I put one together and man they are expensive. I chose to go with damaged, cleaned and holed coins to make it affordable.
Yes, they have really increased in price in recent years
That sounds like an insane collection!!
@@Silverpicker lol you should see the chaos collection I’m building now. Deranged. The coin purists would have an aneurysm.
