Thank you SO Much for watching everyone! I hope you enjoyed the video, and I'm glad I was able to document this type set for all eternity (the eternity of UA-cam anyway LOL). Let me know what you think in the comments!
OK - Let's see these beauties! Edit: FYI - Yes, I watched the entire video - there was NO WAY I wasn't going to take a close look at every coin in that book. For those that love coins, this video was AWESOME! Thank you for sharing it and thank that gentleman for allowing us to see his beautiful collect-see-own!
Very nice type set. When I was actively collecting that was where my interest was. So much to learn, not only about each coin, and the almost endless varieties within nearly every denomination. I'm also interested in the history of America, and when studying and collecting type coins you're learning the history of the country at the same time. Great video.

I stayed til the end. My god that set is the best one ive ever seen! Some of the best coins ive ever seen in my life. Those seated libertys and gold pieces all UNC from the luster on them. He spent alot of money putting that set together.
This is a very impressive set. I spent years and finally just finished my 7070. My rarer coins are in the VF-XF range . But after watching this it's making me want to do some upgrades.
I came into a bit of money a few months ago and decided to build a type set of all uncirculated coins, proof when convenient. Boy, has it been expensive. It's about 80% complete but the flying eagle cent, twenty cent piece, and strangely enough Barber half dollar have been elusive.
Love the Dansco 7070 Type Set Albums... putting together a Type Set is highly recommend especially for newer collectors who are not certain of what types of coins they want to collect. A set like this where you learn about each type and buy one of each will help you figure that out and is a great set too.
Love the set and the coins! Thank you for sharing. For me though, I would consider getting a piece of felt 3" x 3" and put the coin on that instead of plastic that might create scratches from the bunching. Then I would spin the felt, not the coin on the surface....food for thought.
Of course I watched the entire video, how could you not? As I have aged and matured I have learned not to envy the nice things of others. However, I admit to having turned a slight shade of green while watching this title. It makes me want to start my own type collection. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for showing these, making this video, and special thanks also the the owner of these coins. I would have loved to see closeups of the gold, but I understand the risks.
SS. THank you for this marvelous video. The fun and treasure in discovering and holding each coin whilst collecting embodies our history and culture. This video embodies the art and passion in coin collecting.
Wow what a collection, taking value out of the way evaluation I’m most jealous of the 1888 proof nickel 3 cent, cause I love the discontinued denominations and 131 year old proof wow. Thanks to silver seeker and your friend for sharing such an amazing collection.
Watched till the end and it was an amazing video! This was a very nice type set..I loved to see them all..even up close for some of them. There was a time I didn't think much of type sets till I saw a youtube video of a guy displaying a Whitman 20th and 21st century type set album. I already had over 20 of the coins and I purchased an album from Whitman. It's now finished and it was fun. I'm considering a 19th century type collection and looking forward to it. Oh..and I already have 11 of those 😁
I was so impressed with how well you handled the coins . With the use of gloves and how you handled the coins by the edges if I didn’t know better I would have thought that you were a seasoned numismatist.
@@SilverSeeker sorry but I’m used to seeing the silver stacking coin ( 90% “ junk “) videos showing the narrator tossing the coins around like so much play money.
Such an amazing video...thank you for showcasing these marvelous specimens. I did make it all the way through. I know this is an older video, but coins only get better with age :D
Watched to the end. It was worth it to see those dollars and gold coins. The slabbage at the end was somewhat uneventful but I wouldn't mind having any one of them. You did a video quality presentation. The owner of that album should keep this as a documented video keepsake.
I just watched this again to the end for the second time. As someone that has added nearly 30 coins to my own type set between viewings, the info I think many of us would appreciate knowing is more about how your friend went about filling this out. How long it took, strategy around buying raw coins (sounds like some have been in the album long before slabbed coins were so prevalent), where they found such amazing coins? Many of us have modest budgets and limited access to real life coins through shops or shows. Always looming to learn and improve my strategies and how to actually get my album filled in my lifetime.
it is fun when coins so old still have luster. I think my oldest lustrous coin is probably an 1850s canadian dime. i have a roman with hints of shine but that was likely preserved from being buried
I'm pretty certain that's exactly what it is. My best 09 S Lincoln looks like that. I picked it up in a lot with a bunch of other wheats on ebay. The pictures were pretty low quality, so especially with this woodgrain look, the somewhat blurry photos made it look like it was maybe good to fine, possibly damaged. When it showed up, it was clear that the woodgrain look was not damage at all, the coin was in amazing condition. Sent it off to get graded, and it came back as a 62 I believe. I paid around $90 for the entire lot of Lincoln Wheats, and there were some teens S mints in there, so well worth it!
Silver Seeker im going to be out for awhile we got into a wreck on monday messed my back and neck up. So take care and be back after its all said and done thank you. Im still going to keep paying my membership so hopefully see ya soon.
Awesome bit of history there, very nice coin set. I was wondering, how many of the coins that book would you have sent off for grading? Also, do you know how long this person has been collecting to fill that book? Thanks for sharing!!
Id love to get a set like this, I have an 1803 draped bust half dollar vf30 I bought raw for $250 then got it graded, this set I'd send the whole book in to be graded...but it's like having you cake and eating it, once slabbed no more touchy touchy.
The discoloration is due, I’m part, because of the finish. This is called a wood grain finish because if you look at a high grade, you can actually see what appears to be a wood grain surface. I, myself, have quite a few of them and I think they are quite attractive.
FYI Lady Liberty is a female on the Indian penny, not a male, she is just in a Native American headdress. She also has a pearl necklace on. A very nice type set here, very expensive as a whole!

I don’t think it’s a proof the mint state 3 cent nickels looked like proofs. They’re very hard to determine. Anyways it’s a beautiful coin anyways!
This is the best set ever I was not going to miss this. As any coin collector this would be an absolute dream come true! Fabulous job

Unreal history in those coins. That book is one heck of an EOS GAW! 3 cheers for Silver Seeker!!!! lol
Omg what a beautiful type set Album and the 1909s VDB Lincoln cent with the crazy colors is awesome
That was an incredible set. I’ve been collecting for 41yrs and haven’t even thought about putting together something like that.
Such an amazing collection! I can't believe the owner let you take them out of the book. Nice person! Awesome video!
Thank you soooooo much for sharing! I was drooling from start to finish. This is probably the closest I can get to this amazing collection.

An SVDB in a 7070! That shows real class!
I'm a big type-set fan. Been working on a dansco album off and on for years. Now I'm inspired again after seeing this video. Thank you!

Awesome Type Set. I'm working on one, but on a budget big time lol. Take care.
Thank you for the video it was great.
That 3 cent silver in xf au with that color is worth atleast a couple hundred and the proof like 790 if it's a pf 63 up
Was there 1956 flying eagle penny also?
Very rare?
1856
Very nice. I might be motivated to do this as well.
I think the 1909s vdb has improperly mixed metals. It happens on some early lincoln cents and if you look up pictures i think thats what it is.
