Notes: -The Creation of Seven Shus Astral Ring and The Birth of Will of The Shadow: During the “Amber Street Great Panic” (different from The Great Eruption that happened in Luoxing/Mars), Baiji got a hand on an Astral Ring from his old friend and he showed it to Ajita, she called it Zodiac Astral Ring/Wheel of Destiny. Long story short, during the calamities, Baiji tried to contain the “Ten Faces of Misery”/Shadow within the Astral Ring in hopes of ending the calamities, but he failed because a tremendous surge of energy erupted from the shadows and shattered the Astral Ring into 7 pieces. The counterfeits they possess that resemble the Astral Ring are products of the incident, but not only that, the incident also gave birth to the Will of the Shadow. -Why killing Songque can save both Langqiu and Oxia? Simply, it’s because her Astral Ring power is to reset all of Langqiu’s shadows. But by doing so, she would also get killed in the process. A reminder that you don’t need an Astral Ring to have power to manipulate shadow, the ring is just a boost and does not necessarily give something (power) as literal as the shu’s title. For example, Lantern’s Astral Ring power is constantly giving her enemies/shadows to fight, and she got the“Shu of Destruction” title because she always constantly fights the shadows. How about Songque? As mentioned before, her power is to reset all of Langqiu’s shadows. To use her power, one of the Seven Shus must kill her or she can just activate it herself. So, why is it called “Deception”? It's because activating her Astral Ring means suicide, she can’t activate it (unless when the time has come), combined with her lack of experience in shadows compared to the other, that makes her not in the Shu’s level, but because of her ambition and pride, she successfully deceived many people into thinking that she’s as strong as the other Shus. -If the Seven Shus have been able to eradicate The Shadows since the beginning, why didn't they do it? It’s because they love Songque, as simple as that. -Ajita isn't dead yet. Among the Seven Shus, she's the only one who can completely discard her body. She discarded her body and went to the sea in order to find the so called "Continent". That explained why Coralie said that based on her observation, Ajita died a long time ago. -Ajita casually dropped a lore bomb lmao. Langqiu is equal to an "island" in the Sea of Data, and Ajita said that there's a place that she called "Continent". That place is said to be the cornerstone of civilization and the only beacon that deserves to be taken seriously. The funny thing is, in that "Continent", anomalies similar to Shadow calamities once happened too and most of the anomalies evolved to possess a will of their own. -The Anchor of Apocalypse in Langqiu is FAKE, while the REAL one is in Oxia.

Chapter 3 Act 1 and 2 are... Utterly, and absolutely beautiful. Beautiful dialogues, beatiful monologues, beatiful narration, intimate heartfelt moments that constantly made me teary eyes. So many times in the dialogue sequence with the beatiful art they showed and the music, I just stopped and savored every second of it, completely immersing myself in the moment. It's not the action, nor the flashy stuff, it's the dialogues, monologues, narration, and character interactions that made me love the story. This is one of, if not the best two acts of one chapter ever. I'm already re-experiencing the act 1, can't get enough of it, can't get enough of Songque.
Jesus christ I've been crying like almost a hour with all the Songque dialogues. "The light you radiate, it's just like the white star's. Pure and true" That killed me man, it's all just so beautiful.
Despite your videos not appearing first in the search results for "Hi3 part 2 story walkthrough", I am always coming back just for your notes and story explanations like you did perfectly here, so thank you for you hard work! Mostly I am coming back here to understand the story better after playing it, so this helps me a lot. And regarding this act, I wanted to ask about the "Princess of Stars" story that appears at 1:58:50 I don't know why, but I find it really hard to understand after the sentence "But why did it leave the appointed place? If it did..." and I got quite lost in understanding this story at all. Can you/somebody explain this in simple words please? And how it is exactly represents Songque? I only understood that there is surely a connection between the two, but not what is it about, especially when not understanding the source story.
they fact when they had the chance to end Songque but decided not to really makes me swell up in tears for some reason.. I love this blonde goofball so much. So instead of sacrificing Sonque, does that mean they are willing to fight the shadow instead and doing it the hard way?
Yup. Songque said it the best: "To forsake tangible hope for fleeting possibilities... Only a fool would do such a thing" And Baiji replied it with: "I suppose I'm a fool in the end. I was foolish a century ago, and still am today" Litost urged Songque to leave Langqiu to live in Oxia as a normal girl (in the end he's the one who sacrificed himself), Ajita didn't want to conduct experiment that destroy artwork, Sera felt sorry for Songque, Thelema will fight anyone who dare to harm her "pet", Lantern acted like she didn't care but actually care the most. Instead of sacrificing Songque, they split Oxia from Langqiu, Litost gladly sacrificed himself to create the pool of shadows, put the seven nails in Langqiu to prevent it from overflowing, thus they all fell asleep for century.
Thank you for the video, they always help me recap! I was just confused on one thing. What exactly happened to Thelema? How come she joined into Union? I can see she retained her own consciousness, but she herself said that "were it not for you, I could barely walk myself now" to Serapeum. Did I miss something in the dialogue?
Thelema is experiencing the backlash of her Shus power. To put it simple, The power of manipulating Shadows mastered by the Seven Shus is both a blessing and a curse. When the time to pay the price for it arrived, they have their own power (befitting their title) turn on them in some way. In Thelema's case, she is the Shu of Pleasure. She found pleasure in dominating and controlling people, but now she's paralyzed and controlled by other people, in this case by Serapeum via the power of Union. Other cases are like Litost who slaughtered everyone in Amber Street became the sacrificial lamb to create the Pool of Shadow, and Lantern who always fighting the shadow, in the end she destroyed herself (died of exhaustion). Referrences: (Chapter 3 Act 2: Ajita in 27:18-27:54 explained it in the business world term) (Chapter 3 Act 1: Thelema said during her conversation with Serapeum that the Shus will have their ending befitting their title)
I have a few questions after doing this part. Is the 'Continent' Earth? It seemed like Ajita was talking about Honkai. Is it explained how she had knowledge of the outside world? Who is the friend who gave Baiji the Astral Ring? Is there a possibility that it could be Sena God or maybe even Vita or Ai? Was the Ajita breaking herself into 5 parts and one being Perception a lie? Do they not need all 7 Shus to do whatever they were doing at the end? Duonigue counts as Litost but there's no Ajita. Is the will of shadow being able to speak such a big deal? I mean Duonigue literally exists. How did they make Dreamseeker ser the future in a dream? And how do they know it's correct? What was that about transformation and all that? Yk the one Ajita was talking about in the last flashback.
-The first question is definitely something they'll address in the future. But strictly from this chapter, the "continent" could be the Imaginary Tree, especially Earth or Mars during its glory. Now, which one is the correct one, I don't know. As for how did she gain the knowledge, she said that she got it from the records. How she got it is not explained (yet). But, since she said she's a merchant, she must have many ears somewhere. -Baiji only explained that he got it from his friend. The full story is (connecting with Ajita's anecdote) Baiji has a meeting with Ajita, but he's late. When he arrived, he told Ajita the reason he was late is that he didn't know the schedule/when the goods arrived. -The breaking herself/splitting her soul is true, but Perception being part of her soul is a lie. -No, Rite of Shaping doesn't need All 7 Shus to do it, just like Rite of Tears isn't exclusive to Baiji must kill Songque. Rite of Shaping just need the Shus to collect shadows from Langqiu as much as possible. The more, the merrier. -Probably because it's the one who came first before Duonigue lol. -It's all Baiji's doing since the moment DS saw the Shadow Sphere. Basically, Baiji using DS through Box of Memory and Time to simulate the future based on their condition at that time. To put it simple: DS saw the sphere -> DS journey is collected by the sphere in the form of data -> Baiji who can control shadow, used the data and the box to make DS dream How do they know it's correct? It's just a simulated future based on their journey. I wouldn't say it's correct cuz if it's correct, even if they have the information, they can't change the future. -They're witnessing Songque's transformation and what kind of power did she get after transformation (Also an explanation how her power works).
Mungkin iya, mungkin bukan. Berdasarkan pernyataan Ajita, "Continent" adalah suatu tempat di Sea of Data, tempat yang dikatakan oleh Ajita sebagai batu tumpu peradaban.
