I spent two weeks in Japan for the first time last month.
As we were leaving Tokyo on our way to a little villiage called Tsumago, I told our guide that when he got our Shinkansen tickets, I wanted a window seat on the right side because I depaerately wanted to see Fuji-san.
Our guide smiled at me and said "Okay, but I need to warn you... Fuji is a very shy mountain. Even on a clear day, like today, she likes to hide in the clouds."
I was very happy to get a couple of decent picturea of her as we went by.

Tokyo to Osaka is about the same distance as my going from San Jose to Universal Studios Los Angeles. Only we don't have a Shinkansen, so we either have to fly or drive. Normally we spend several days if we are going down to LA.
Stop making comparisons.
Even with HSR, unlike Tokyo or Osaka, you need cars to get around LA.
Oh, don't bring those useless local trains . You need cars to use those trains in LA.
HSR will never work in USA because public transportation outside New York is below F.

Universal City looks just like Universal Studios, Florida except Florida doesn't have Nintendo/Pokémon yet. That's under construction and should be open Summer 2025.
