An additional perspective because this and similar videos helped me so much: Everyone is different, I'm currently on day 8 and my daily pain level is still a 8-9 of 10. First night was a 10/10. I'm still spending about 19-20 hours in bed a day. I did have 15-20 fibroids of which 3 were around 5cm. I've lost 13lbs since Wednesday when I had the procedure, mostly from not eating but I'm also not hungry. Started eating two days ago like a 3" in sandwich a day. Have had bleeding and clotting from day 3-8 and passed a piece of a fibroid this morning.
I had this procedure ( through the wrist) performed 3 weeks ago. I can say I had a very good outcome. I honestly feel fine. The first two days following the procedure, I slept a-lot specifically because of the narcotic pain med I was taking. By day 3 (post procedure) I stopped taking the narcotic pain med( which was an option for me as indicated by the medication schedule). I remained compliant in taking all other medications as detailed in the 14 day post procedure follow-up instructions. I am a person who had multiple fibroids of various sizes which resulted in me having an enlarged uterus, painful periods, low iron anemia, frequent urination, unending bloating, etc. My personal experience with UFE, was that my pain the first few days post procedure was minimal, likely because I remained compliant with the med schedule. By day 4 post procedure I felt like I was back to about 75%, as I found I did become tired easily, had mild cramping, and did experience some constipation ( which eventually subsided thank goodness). I did return to work by day 4 and began doing cardio again by day 4, with each day improving . I'm at the end of week 3 (post procedure), and I feel pretty much back to normal with regard to daily activities done (pre- procedure). Anyone thinking about this procedure, a few things I'll suggest to maybe help minimize your down time and level of discomfort post procedure: 1. If you don't already, start engaging in some type of exercise regimen now (before the procedure). Even if you just walk for 30 minutes a day on most days 2. Follow the instructions with regard to what to eat and not eat the 24 -36 hours before the procedure and adhere to the instruction to not eat or drink anything hours prior to your procedure day. 3. Follow the post procedure medication schedule to include taking all the meds as instructed at the times instructed. I also had a heating pad, which helped a lot. 4. Try to walk at least 30 minutes per day post procedure, as soon as you have the energy to do so. 5. Most importantly- research who you elect to do this procedure! Which means you may have to travel if you want to go to the best radiologists. I highly recommend the Fibroid institute of Dallas. Dr. Slonim is a UFE expert who cares. Check out the facility's UA-cam for patient testimonials etc. so happy I opted for UFE instead hysterectomy!

I was told i was anemic and need to take iron. I just had a sonogram last week and waiting for the results to see if i have endometriosis or fibroids. Also this started after i had 2 abortions 3 yrs ago. Before that i was fine.
I’m actually checking in I know this video was posted over two years ago but I am curious to date how have you been? Have you had any sort of issues pertaining to the UFE has anything called for another MRI scan? How exactly have you been per the videos you look amazing.
I'm so happy for you
This was almost a year ago. How are you doing now? I have a consultation for UFE this coming up week. I was told to get a hysterectomy but I am choosing to check out UFE
If you are under 50, you have other options like a UFE
I haven't completed a week yet until tomorrow. But I am in so much pain, literally super uncomfortable.
Thank you for your videos. I had my UFE procedure 5 days ago and your videos helped me prepare for what I would face. Thank you.
Hello thanks so much for your personal experience with UFE I have a question about your taste palette did that ever go back to normal or how long did it last
Herbal medicine is the best to treat our body system naturally Hi I’ve been living with fibroid 😭 for more than 5years now but I got rid of it naturally after using dr Omo herbal medicine his channel youtube.com/@dromocure
Hi thx for sharing ! How are you doing now 6 months after your procedure
I just had the procedure done two days ago. Thank you for your video as I watched it a few months ago. I’m coming back today to see if you had done a 3 month post op video. You mentioned that your period is light... did that remain the same now that you are over 3 months post op? Thank you
I bleed a lot every day Ive been like this for months now. I want to have this done. I bleed even when I breathe and Im lying down.
So helpful, thanks!
Getting the procedure soon because I can’t take it anymore.
I'm telling you, get it. I did mine 11/7/2023. Best decision I made in my life. Bleeding g heavy clotting g non stop bleeding. Finally will get to enjoy the summer. The fibroid is breaking down quick I have alot of discharge withfibroid in it.
@@FYO7831 yea I been struggling with the same for the longest and it’s just gotten worse over the past few years. It really takes a toll on my health and I’m tired 😪 of living this way.
Update please
It's been a year. How are you feeling now? I want to get one, but the drs I've been talking to say a hysterectomy is more guaranteed, and since I have 3 kids, it's not a big deal.🙄 I would prefer a UFE. We have wombs for more than breeding. Just would like to hear if it's been a long-term solution for you?
Thank you for this video!
You are welcome Luv❤️
What about weightloss
I am having a UFE performed in a week. How was the 2nd or 3rd period?
What size? How many?
Did your fibroids shrink any and did you have a big belly blout
Plz ,help me is this treatment suitable bcoz I'm also going to get this treatment 😢
Any updates???
Hello my procedure is May4th and I'm scared out my mind..these cramps the meds they gave you doesn't help?
Praying your procedure went well yesterday! Mine is next Tuesday (5/10) 😟
How long did you have to wait before using a tampon again or being sexually active. No one is mentioning that.
How are you now?
Thx for this video. So was that your cycle after the first week? Has you period lessened up even more since?
Just had my UFE done! Before the procedure, I had salt pica due my low iron. I don't have that anymore because I was prescribed iron supplements to hump up my iron. I'm still in pain on my first day of doing the procedure. Hopefully, it gets better on day 2.
I was eating so much salt🧂 straight out of the shaker🤭 but after my iron infusion that craving is gone! Thinking of doing this procedure, has it helped you?
Dis tou lost weight after the procedure?
Is there an update?
@@AngelaStarComedy my periods are so uneventful now. No heavy bleeding, no cramps. It’s no longer a bother. Over in 5 days
@@Iampriscillaandrews Thanks for the update. 🩵 How much did your fibroids shrink?

Hey i just had mines last Friday and it was horrible for me i caught a UTI from the catheter that they had in me that was so painful i barley couldn't walk it burn so bad when i pee to the point i was screaming
Ugh, same here. I ended up with a UTI brought on by the procedure, no catheter. I've read that chances of a UTI are higher with catheter.
Thanks for sharing. May I ask how may fibroids you had and how big they were? I'm thinking of going ahead with it. I don't get pain but do i do bleed a lot snd have become anaemic
I had my UFE a week ago. I had one fist-sized one and two were a little smaller. I feel great and was able to work out today without any problems.

Hey week 1 for me! Were you still on pain meds day 8?
Yes but I didn’t have to take as often. 🥺.
Thanks for your response. They gave me meds for 5 days so when day 6 hit I was still in pain. Was just trying to see if that was the case for a lot of women. Didn’t want to be the wimp asking for a refill lol
Hey. Good video. I'm scheduled for my procedure in October. Very nervous
