Hi I am a woman in my 40's who had the procedure done this year in late January and Everything went well. I am not anemic and was never anemic and thank God I did not have to have a blood transfusion. After nine months left of my recovery I say it is worth it. All the fibroids have been discarded. Hallelujah amen.

One year or so after this after a UAE surgery is nothing. The complications from the surgery become more and more pronounced as time goes on. It is NOT fun to constantly have to worry about the disabling cramps, and pain, especially in bed, but just sitting has a huge impact on the pain level, such as sitting too long, or in the same position, I OFTEN can feel the particles used to block the arteries, poking me in my groin. All this got much more severe with age, and NO BODY knows how to reverse this procedure. Doctors know ABSOLUTELY nothing about all the side effects, and they couldn’t care less.

@SpiritualWarFareZone....Amen. I tap into this and declare that if I have to do this, I will also have no complications, and it will get rid of my fibroid in Jesus name..

Due to fibroid, after failed hormone therapy, my doctor and I decided on UFE. My experience after embolization was excruciating pain! After the procedure at noon, I got home and around 6 PM, I was at the emergency due to 10/10 pain. The next day, my very good doctor performed myomectomy. It's been 6 years since that dreaded day, I have never been happier. I am living my life now!!!

I have fibroids, and I had Adenomyosis and have suffered for years. I'm just learning about this procedure, and I cannot even express how absolutely disgusted I am with my previous GYN for telling me my options were either an ablation or a hysterectomy or just dealing.
The ablation was an absolutely irresponsible recommendation for me, and completely failed, worsening my issues.
I wish I would've found these videos before I ever did that. Had a consultation today.

Yes,an interventional radiologist did my procedure. This all sounds lovely, however the docs are completely out of touch with reality. This is a life changing procedure, and MY LEGS are ruined because of the Embolization. Pain is very common, as are excruciating cramps, on the inside of my thighs, from ankle to groin. After the Embolization’s, the constant tenderness has always been there in my legs, also from ankle to groin. But the extreme disabling pain, where I cannot stand or move an inch started about ten years after having the surgery. I highly DO NOT recommend having this done. Docs don’t know, and don’t care about the truth, and after calling the biggest interventional radiology departments in the nation, not one of them has a clue how to reverse this procedure.

Let’s say someone goes in for a uterine ablation and it is discovered that the patient has uterine fibroids. Does the ablation also get rid of the fibroids, and if so, how do you compare these treatments?

Hormonally the UFE seemed to have triggered weight gain, cellulite, and soft body. I was okay until a week after my UFE. I noticed my body changing and had strange hormonal symptoms out of the blue.

What are these particles placed in to block blood flow to the fibroids? What happens to these particles eventually? What’s the side effects of particles to the body? I have watched numerous videos on this UA-cam about this UFE and no one has addressed this questions asked about these particles after effects.

I just had this procedure done a couple months ago. The doc told me they will dissolve into bloodstream eventually. After procedure and up to week or so thereafter, there is so much pain. 10/10, they did not give me sufficient pain control. I feel great now though. I don't think I would've gone through with procedure if had known how much pain I would be in.

That's the only thing she failed to explain. Do the particles self-absorb overtime?

@@crystalhamptonhines That's what I want to know. I worry that they will shift and move to where they're not supposed to be.

@@Kre8iviT27 So... I got it done after talking to the doctors. The doctor who performed the embolization said that a particle will not disolve. It will not shift around either. It will fuse with the tissue in the artery and permanently block that particular artery branch from ever sending blood out to a fibroid.
Though the Artery branches are blocked from providing blood to fibroids. It doesn't mean that new fibroids can grow elsewhere and feed off of the Uterus. The doctor said that the likelihood was slim, but possible.
I just had it done at the end of 2021, so I'm still adjusting. After recovery, I haven't had the constant cramping and spotting like I was before. I do cramp ever so often and spot a few hours after. It's possible that it's due to a fibroid dying. The doctor said it could take 3-6 months for half of the fibroids to die, then about a year or so for the rest. No definite time spans.
