Datura has to be one of the scariest ones out there. You could experience a relatively normal trip with things disappearing and appearing or it could literally end up in a bloody mess. Heard of a dude saying that he felt a little tired, went back home, cooked dinner, smoked weed and went to sleep. Once he woke up he was in the ER because he had eaten his own fingers.

I smoked salvia my senior year of high school and had a great, albeit short, trip at a New Years Party. However, my buddy tried it after me, and flipped his wig, thinking that if our friend (who looked Charles Manson) bit him, that he would turn into a copy of him! Of course, we couldn't understand him while he was high, but after he came back, that's how he described it. Haven't messed with it since. I would just tell people that it's a coin flip whether you're gonna giggle in a cartoony 8th Dimension, or you're gonna see the devil coming after you with all of your dead relatives at his command. I have a rare trait where I have what is called a paradoxal reaction to benzodiazepines, a common form of anesthesia. I'm chronically ill and have had a lot of surgeries, all of which I woke up screaming and crying like I was being murdered, ripping out IVs and breathing tubes, sometimes even getting violent with the nurses and my family members. Like a scared feral animal. Would take me hours to calm down. Took 15 years for them to finally stop using benzos on me, I've been easy waking up since. Nothing compares to the completely blind terror that I'd feel, and to being in completely zero control of my actions in such a way. I still remember accusing my mother, who I love like she's my whole world, of beating me (which she'd never done)-aware of what I was saying, but unable to stop myself. The look in her eyes still haunts me.

I have a paradoxal reaction to benadryl which is similar. Instead of making me sleep, it makes me extremely hyper. To the point that I eventually fall asleep, but only from passing out due to sheer exhaustion and overexertion from being so incredibly manic and energetic. I'm not sure how my mom handled me the first time it happened, but I haven't taken it since I was like five and I hope I never have to again.

@@oll-_-llo Uhh, that sounds a lot like an isomer of Diphenhydramine(Benadryl). Interestingly, most medications have to be made a VERY specific way, down to the molecular structure of every single molecule in the medication. In the case of Diphenhydramine...which is C17H22NO (17 Carbons, 22 Hydrogens, and one of both Nitrogen and Oxygen), it's isomer reacts differently with your cells than regular Diphenhydramine. They have the same name, same chemical formula, but the molecule structure is *sliiiightly* different. This difference in form(i.e. Isomer) causes people to become incredibly hyper...it's similar to the body on bath salts. (Although, it's just as possible that your body just reacts in a funky way.)

Spice. Tried it once when I was 16 cause I couldn’t afford pot at the time. The “high” feels like
you just started taking sips out of random chemical bottles you found under the sink. Not only does it feel like all of your organs are very slowly shutting down, but a cold static lonely void fills the space around you. This is the moment you realize you came into this world alone, And you will die alone. Nobody surrounding you can console or help you. It’s all just noise now. The words don’t mean anything. You wish your heart would just explode because it hurts so much and you never thought it could beat so fast. This experience rattled me so hard I went from a pot head drinker in Highschool wanting to try a bunch of different shit to completely straight edge with no desire to get high on anything ever again. It’s even given me fear towards anti anxiety meds, sleeping medications and caffeine. Because they do things to my body that I can’t control and I get flashbacks to that night feeling completely helpless and at the mercy of whatever the fuck was literally trying to kill me.

Hey there, I’m a guy who is on zoloft perscription since 2017.
It’s quite difficult to describe how I feel most times. I can however, tell you changes that I have noticed.
As of 2017 I am struggling with crippling depression. As stated correctly, zoloft being the drug perscribed to help with such states nullifies and numbs emotion. I’ve been feeling.. okay? It’s hard to say. True enough that I have not had suicidal thoughts in a while, but everything seems like I’m not experiencing the emotion at it’s fullest. Happiness and sadness are still prominent, though very much diminished. My pupils are always a little dilated and sometimes I think I’m simply living my life on autopilot.
However, it has undeniably helped me. It really is a matter of dosage, my life is raletively normal and I don’t feel like blowing my brains out. Emotion is still there, not dead just nullified. It’s managable.
Of course, it WILL have incredibly bad side effects on a person who is not experiencing symptoms of depression.

It is temporary healthcare. Though it might take a long time to finally let go of the drug (with your psychiatrist’s admission), it’ll be worth the wait. It has helped me significantly.

Its nickname is actually the zombie drug-and here the term is very apt, given parts of you will ROT OFF with the damage spreading over time. It like someone saw a zombie, a picture of a leper, and a picture of old world untreated advanced syphilis and decide that would be a GREAT drug. I swear you have to be already clinically insane to even want to try this, but numbers show the usage is actually increasing. Scary stuff.

To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. Obviously some drugs (e.g. THC, LSD, Psilocybin, etc.) are stigmatized as being way more dangerous than they actually are, but there are still a lot of drugs like Heroin, Fentanyl, Datura, Spice etc. that you should still try your best to stay away from at all costs. The plethora of risks outweigh the benefits of these dangerous substances.

@@Pantherrz DMT is incredibly strong, so I would advise not taking it until you are well experienced with psychedelics, but no it isn't anywhere near as dangerous as the ones I listed. Like LSD and Psilocybin, DMT has little to no physical dangers and no one has supposedly overdosed from it yet. However, that doesn't mean you should just hit it as many times as possible. It's still a psychedelic meaning it can be psychologically dangerous. Again, it's also incredibly strong. The hallucinations are so intense that whether your eyes are open or closed, you're seeing the exact same things.

They were meant as a temporary measure to 'stabalise' someone in the short term as therapy is arranged (and usually comes with a wait). I had to be on a high dose for about a year, and while it worked well enough at first I gradually just stopped feeling positive emotions. When the emotions would break through the haze it was like something had broken through a metallic wall and hit me at Mach 10, and 90% of the time it was negative emotions. I finally had to taper off it over the course of 6 months and ended up switching to Paxil (along getting a proper stimulant to offset my adhd), which is thankfully much better. The metal emotional wall that was there when I was on Fluoxetine has become something more like a wall of fog. It’s moving and swirling, and occasionally happy emotions appear to me too. I can walk in there and find things, both positive and negative, it’s just hard to see what’s coming.
I hope you find your emotions again; getting through that barrier is hard but switching to a different medication might help, even if only a little.

Sad to hear that. But it's really an effect of many of the antidepressant/antipsychotic type of medicine - it allows your body to have a rest from panic/anxiety/crying itself to sleep. Keep in touch with your doctor and let them know of your progress or whatever, this is only a temporary solution because a person shouldn't be living in such a state for long. BTW emotionally colorblind is a brilliant way to phrase it, I was searching for the right words forever.

Yes, apathy can definitely be a byproduct of high functioning depression. In college I hit a point where everything had been so bad for so long that I just stopped feeling. No more crying myself to sleep or hating myself, but also no happiness at seeing a friend or getting a nice surprise.
I didn't enjoy the feeling and it "felt" bad, but it was better than actually feeling my feels.
In my case though, the apathy was a precursor to a bad mental breakdown. One day too many things went wrong all at once and the emotional floodgate broke open. Less than two weeks later I dropped out of college and moved 3 hours away to be with my family because I knew that if I didn't do something, I wasn't going to make it.
So if you are feeling nothing, talk to your doctor, talk to your family and friends, and have a plan in place for if/when things get bad.
      Stay safe, friend!

I've been told i need to get my wisdom teeth removed and anesthesia was recommended. But aside from this kind of thing being possible anesthesia can also make you vomit at the first whiff (if you've consumed anything, you can vomit, inhale vomit, and die, which is why you aren't allowed to eat or drink before surgery). It can also just kill you if the doctors make a mistake.

They would make her behave strangely and she would respond as if she were tripping on something. They prevented the migraines in the beginning, but they made almost all beverages taste completely vile, especially sodas. She explained them as tasting like she was drinking liquid metal and it made her feel like she was being poisoned. This effect lasted for a month after stopping the meds. And she admitted that she was willing to put up with all of this, until the drugs made her entire body go completely numb indefinitely. definitely not the scariest but personally, i'm epileptic so I have tried my fair share of seizure meds. the worst is Keppra/ Levetiracetam.
i was 15, I felt nauseous, delusional and exhausted all the time despite sleeping for like 14 hours per day. and it didn't help that my doctor put me on 1500mg per day. I'm 5'4 and my weight plummeted to 100 pounds because I could hardly look at food without a puking feeling. the mood changes are insane; one minute i can't stop to breathe because i am laughing so much, then it's like i can't even look at someone without screaming and wanting to beat their ass, and the next minute I'm fighting the urge to just kill myself.
i switched to online school because of the side effects and behavior. and i lost a lot of friends for being such a dick. whatever benefits there are to this drug, the cons definitely overrule them. i can't believe some of these drugs and legal and doctors prescribe them.

10:50 definately not. You just have to know how and where to take it. Put on your favourite music, darken the room, put a little bit of the salvia extract in your bong, take a hit, leave it in for a bit, lay down, breath out and enjoy the trip.
Yes, you will still get transported into the salvia dimension where you basically close your eyes and walk around in your own thoughts. It only lasts 5-10 minutes tho and after that you're completely normal again.
The only reason why people would describe Salvia as the scariest drug ever is that they either didn't know it was Salvia when they smoked it or they didnt do their research on the drug before taking it.
Salvia is only really scary when you're taking it with your eyes open and reality turns into whatever your mind makes of it. But still, Salvia should definately not be illegal, it's basically a short dmt trip for very cheap.
Btw, you wont trip that hard if you don't take the extract, and if you take the normal leaves, it will just feel odd. I always described the feeling as "someone pushing you forward when you walk, or you're not walking but you're bending reality around you to walk". This is just a body feeling tho and you will only be able to go on a trip with the extract. You can chew the leaves for about 30-60 minutes tho, like the indiginous people. This will make you feel stoned, lights will seem brighter and you might see some visuals.
Every other drug in this video is far scarier, Datura is literally poisonous as well, like all other delirant nightshade plants. People have reported they tripped on datura for 48 hours straight.
So go do your research on any drug you are planning to take and stay faaar away from amphetamines and opioids!

What I would say is, if you're curious, go for it! For me, psychedelics have been such an amazing learning journey that have really opened up my eyes to new perspectives. But that is what they are. Teachers, to be respected and never abused.
I highly recommend you do your own extensive research, but basically, any newbie needs to familiarise themselves with harm reduction measures. Start in small doses, know exactly what it is you're taking, research that substance, and always have a trip-sitter. You also need to be in the right state of mind and have a clear objective that you wanna achieve by taking a psychedelic journey. All a psychedelic does is magnify how you already feel. If you feel good and you pop some shrooms, you're probably gonna feel great. If you're kinda down or some shit's been going on in your life and you pop some shrooms, it's gonna be a nightmare - take it from me.
But whatever it is you do, do not eat those goddamned flowers. Datura isn't a drug - it is a poison. It will fuck you up and can quite easily kill you in even small doses. Every trip report I have ever read on it describes it as a waking nightmare. Trust me. Don't do that shit.

But how I arrange what's worse depends- there's both long and short term physical and mental health side effects of each so context for comparing is important, they may be arranged differently.
The scariest High I've ever had is VERY easy though: 20x extract of Salvia.... unlike Mushrooms/LSD where the World around you sort of Morphs- I was completely unaware of myself, I was in a totally different universe. Or maybe once when I went blind taking Ecstasy- I crumpled into a heap on the floor on myself, then over the next Hour I regained my vision, I felt so good that I didn't even care that I was blinded- that it's possible to feel that good is scary looking back. I don't do these things anymore, I survived somehow- heh.

I highly disagree with Salvia being the worst drug. It has changed many people's lives for the better, as dysdelics tend to do. The thing that makes Salvia give so many bad trips is that people don't know that it's a dysdelic (psychedelic and dissociative in one drug, kinda like DMT but closer to the middle) and that these drugs should not be taken in big doses at first. You shouldn't take 20x salvia for your first trip, that's stupid, but people do that anyways. Take a very small pinch of 1x for your first time and work your way up from there at your own pace.

  • @vehlinge

Wow, seems like the salvia ones got k2(i think spice is what they called it in video) not salvia because that sounds exactly like what happened when I tried it a few times which sounds way too similar to the last story. The bubble popping reference caused a spike of anxiety from the final time I did it and reality is sort of in question again so yeah.
Salvia is a “businessman’s drug” for starters so any stories you hear that the high lasts longer than 20 minutes it’s not salvia. Second, you totally leave or you don’t even achieve lift off. Last, salvia is the only “drug” I’ve tried that actually made me feel euphoric (everything in the world was awesome and just good, smiles and genuinely good vibes) AFTER I came back which was like a gentle decline back to normal over maybe 3-4 hours.

I did dmt for the first time while peaking on lsd. for those that don't know, dmt is an extremely potent short acting psychedelic, like salvia but less horrible. when i took the first hit, the room started to shake. i took the second hit, i was seeing orbs appearing in front of my eyes and a bunch of voices were talking over each other in my head. i took the third hit and closed my eyes, and the second i closed my eyes i forgot who i was, what was happening, all my memories, everything. Then i saw a light appear in front of me and then the most intense terrifying experience of my life followed.
I ended up screaming for help and an ambulance, ended up screaming backwards, my gf told me it sounded like someone recorded my voice and reversed it or something, and ended up crying on the bathroom floor. DMT and LSD at the same time probably wasn't the best idea

I did Salvia with 3 of my friends, one of which was our dealer we knew from highschool who had tried it before.
He loaded up a bowl in the bong, told us to hold it as long as we can.
My best friend tried it first and I still have the video. He was all euphoric and giggly going “WOOOOOOOAAAAAHHHH” over and over. After he said he felt like he was a spring being super extended and than retracted back a bunch of times. Then my other friend tried it next. His description of the experience was far less intelligible and spent most of the time giggling, then laughing. Shifting between an emphatic joyful laugh to a maniacal one.
Then I tried it and felt absolutely nothing. Maybe a little lightheaded but no trip. Just did not hit me.
