@@tedsmarinerepair8956 if you could assist what pin on the 4 pin conector trigger the injectors and the coil for the ecm to know when to reff up . There is EST, Reff,BY Pass and B negative.thanks for the feed back.
I have what seems to be a miss below 1000 rpm’s. I will advance throttle to around 2200 rpm’s and it will fire on all cylinders again. Drop the throttle back to idle and it misses again. I have a 2006 Volvo Penta 3.0.
Thank you for all your informative videos. I have a 1996 MerCruiser 454 Mag MPI and get code 42. It runs rich and blackens all 8 new plugs. It pops back through the exhaust at about 1500 RPM and idles round and stalled out. I replaced cap and rotor with new plugs and wires. I replaced the pick up and model. Now it will not start. I put the original model in and it runs poorly as before. I tried 2 Quick Silver and one truck model and none of them will work. I did some ohm readings and comparing. When I check from the two wire connector that goes to the coil terminal C to all 4 terminals A,B,C,D going to ECM I get around 370 K Ohms on the module they will run the engine. But on the other module’s that will not run the engine I get 370 K Ohms on all terminals except terminal C and I get .936 M Ohms???? Could my problem be in the ECM? I have a MEFI 1 16189069. I’m thinking the original model that runs tge engine has a short to ground on pin C. It must be telling the ECM to run the engine? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Could you tell me on the wiring where the 4 is going in what wire trigger the coil and what wire trigger the injectors .
Not sure of what you mean by where the 4 is going. The coil is fired thru the brown wire and the injectors are controlled by the ecm

Could a bad module cause it to not have any power on top end? My vp5.7 gxi idles and runs fine until above 2k rpms

Start it when cold run for 15 seconds, sut off, remove back 2 spark plugs nearest the riser. If water is on plugs, riser has failed.
