There's quite a few ways to do this as well, you could also use Third Degree or Sculpt Gel silicones and tint them these various shades using silicone pigments or very small amounts of acrylic paints (skin safe ones). You could omit the alcohol paints or feature them more heavily.
Also a little tip: burns generally don't bleed (maybe because the heat cauterises everything?) so not using fake bloods on these kinds of wounds helps add to the realism. This is why I kept trying to soften the reds and make them more subtle/more pink.
Yeah the colours are really nice, got a good level of translucency and flocking :D initially I found it hard with how fast it set, but now I just use smaller amounts and it's all good.
Thats a lot more movement then actual burns have lol SUPER accurate, after once grabbing a piece of near white hot steel I’d just finished cutting with a welding torch (not my proudest moment) way back when, that matches the second day to second week dead on. I at least had the wherewithal to take reference pictures of it lol Few tins of zinc sulphate later it resembled a hand again lol but watching this made my hand tingle, which is pretty cool!
Freakmo They really are, going through all that tissue and every nerve all the way down. Sadly the scar really faded away, it was gnarly for a couple years but it was across the top third of my palm, and each finger on the first and second phalangeal pads. I worked construction after welding and all those spots are right where you develop callouses. They stretched the skin out enough to smooth a lot of the scar away. Its still between the callouses a bit at least lol
Once the callouses went down when my body just rejected manual labour lol the sensitivity to heat on that scared tissue came back STRONG! To this day if I grab a hot cup with my right hand it feels like its being burnt.
So gross, I love it!! I enjoy your elaborate prosthetic videos a lot, but getting a tutorial that I can actually try to follow is really nice as well. Thank you :)
Yeah it actually attaches to the skin pretty well! If it were needed for a full day shoot and had lots of movement/sweat, I'd put down a sweat stop and a silicone glue underneath to make sure it stays. But for smaller things it stays pretty well on it's own, and then you don't need a remover either.
It was tiny but the burn degree was the same as the video since I couldn't take it off right away. It was so liquidy and hot that if tried to take it off, it would spread it and burn my fingers too😢
Got a burn a week ago from a clothing iron. Was about as big as my fingernails. I think it was a mix between a 2nd and 3d degree. It really, really annoys me how people make "burn" wounds bleed, because NO BLOOD comes from most burns. They can be shiny or dull, white or red, frayed or smooth - but *no blood*
I’m definitely going to recreate this look! Looks very good looks like it would really hurt very bad of course. You are amazing I love your page and work!!!! ❤️
Might be a silly question, but does the alcohol paint break down or lift the silicone at all? Also, I’m moving away from 3rd Degree to try Artex and Dermaflage. Do you like them better? I hear they have a better hold on the skin with less lifting.
Hello Freakmo, pls i really need your help. I'm interested in making my own prosthetics but i've been trying to buy super baldeze and non ship it by air because it's a hazardous product and were I live which is in Malta, nobody stock it. I think using baldeze is pretty improtant in prosthetic making, so any other substitutes that can create a plastic film for an easier blend?
For little things like this you really only need a small amount :D you could buy a baby Third Degree or Sculpt Gel for $24 - $27 that should last a while if you're doing small build ups like this. Or you could try doing stuff with gelatine for burns! It's just a bit harder to blend out and get distinct layering/can get stained by the alcohol paints.
Yes! i tough about the gelatine, cause in Colombia PlatSil 10 is mad expensive, no facilities here , all is imported. And to buy by myself regular shipping is 70usd. Once i was stuck with 1lb of silicone and no prosaide no pigments cause they didnt arrive with the order i placed with some stablishment.

could you use eyeshadow to tint 3rd degree?
I think that'd work - it'd be like powdered pigments

hey! is there a place in perth that i can get this from???
"going to use this very pale skin tone called porcelain to make that dead skin look"
Ah yes. My skin tone.
The colour that bests match my skin tone in alcohol paints is "Dead Flesh" in the Necromania palette
Dang! You can really accomplish a lot just with dermaflage! 😍 I want to test this stuff out so badly. This wound looks so sore and real!

Freakmo sweet deal! They seem like a really great in kit tool 👍

hahaha true! Ouch, burns are the actual worst. Is there any scar left there now?

I love your videos! Your work is always impressive, and your enthusiasm for the art is very apparent in your voice.
I love your burn makeup!
Thanks Brayden!!
I’ve been waiting for this!
That looks so good!!
Thanks Charlotte!

I love your videos! You give great details on how to do these tutorials!!
Yessss Kiana!!! Been looking forward to this!
Is it secure? I mean, will the silicone move around or is it "glued" in place? I never worked with silicone before 🤔 but it looks really nice!

Yessss been missing your content!
I love your makeup. In Argentina it is difficult to get most of the products you use
Very good texture !
As someone who got a very bad hot glue burn once, I can say it legit looks like this 😂 Love how realistic and detailed you made it 😍
AtomicPudding what the hell did you do with hot glue to cause such a burn 😂
Mina o sometimes hot glue guns can explode
It started to overheat so the glue was just dripping really fast and I didn't noticed it till it fell onto my arm.

I was doing a school project. I got a 10 ( it goes for A+ I think) at least 😂

Gruesome as always, gave me some fantastic ideas :D

Does it not cost a fortune for all them pigmented silicones? I think id have to mix my own pigments into it if I was to try this.
Can I use gelatin?
THE BEST NOTIFICATIONS TO RECEIVE
Try the manual focus mode on your camera, so it won't get out of focus randomly :D
That made my finger hurt
ew it looks real!! thats so cool!!
Love your videos💞💞💞💞
You are awesome!
That's looks disgusting. I like it.
Hoo Omg 😱 Likeee 👍
Arggghhhh im out of silicone :(

I wanna do this to half of my face to replicate Michael Myers face
Ugh, that really looks nasty. Btw, i notice you say next alot but i would too XD
First comment! I love your videos
ooOOooOoo
I have much easier method! Just burn your finger.
Jup, this looks like a acid burn, alright.
