I enjoy your reviews because you have a nice mix of technical facts and real life play characteristics. Some reviews get bogged down too much in the technicals.

Thanks, I really appreciate that! I don’t like getting into the specs too much. My goal with reviews is to get people to think about choosing paddles based on the way they play and what they need a paddle to do. Face material, weight, and handle shape may be important to some but I want to articulate what people can expect out of the box and if it improves over time.

Thank you for the review. Reviews like this make it a bit easier for us when looking to buy a new paddle. 🏓

Anytime! Thats my goal. With some many paddles it’s hard to pick one.

Great point about finding the paddle that helps minimize your weaknesses. All these new paddles can be effective. Finding the right paddle is all about weighing trade offs. Sounds like your game is similar to mine so appreciate the insight!

Thanks! I hope I can help people think differently about paddles and how to pick the right one. Swing weight, grip length, and twist weight can be useful, but I don’t think those stats will lead people to correct paddle. There are a ton of good paddles out there. I want to help people navigate through them to find which one best suits their play.

Subscribed! Thanks for the giveaway and good luck with channel. I also want to try the Black Diamond, but I may look into the Double Black Diamond, I think it has more control. Thanks

I am just now finishing up my play testing for the black diamond. I would recommend the DBD 90% of the time. That video will be out within a few weeks.

Cool, thanks, I am probably going with the DBD, just need to decide 16 or 14, I have tennis elbow so looking for a lower swing weight. Thanks

I would think either would be fine. I also recommend the Ronbus Pulsars for people with elbow pain because they are more balanced and less head heavy. If you continue to have issues the Gurvn 13s may be a great fit as well.

Interested to see this compare to the GRUVN 13s for control as that is another very good control paddle

I have played a few games with it. I will say I had more control with that paddle than any other thin paddle I have play tested. It still has some pop that might get you into trouble unlike true control paddles. I might pick that one up next since I am waiting for a few paddle releases.
