- A Shelby County judge issued an injunction Wednesday halting the sale of the Graceland estate, which was set for a foreclosure auction Thursday, prompting the company involved to withdraw its claim.
Scammers need to be dragged into court.
The scammer is probably booking it back to whatever country he crawled out of. No addresses just P.O. boxes, no pictures on the internet, even his name could be fake.
Agreed, this was a con job from the beginning. They need to be prosecuted and made an example of.
Once a subpoena is issued for the LLC, US marshals will served the LLC with the subpoena regardless of its location. Reporters & cameras will follow. Scammer’s worst nightmare!!!
@@tringuyen7519 The "firm" has three addresses all of them are P.O. boxes. Even the LLC paperwork has a P.O. box for an address.

Its a common scam type used to try to makes quick money .Alot of the scammers who try this are from Lagos Nigeria

If they would do a little research, they would find many many homeowners are being scammed in foreclosure courts. Most of the paperwork is fake and the people claiming that they made the loan, never loaned one single dime of their own money. It's a free house to the so-called "mortgage servicers" and it's taking place daily in our courts.

Lisa Marie Presley left an estate worth in excess of $400 million dollars. It's ludicrous to think she needed to borrow anything.
We don't know what her liquid assets were. She very well could have taken this loan and these people didn't want to come to court because they didn't legally have to or to be vilified from future business dealings. Nobody wants to be the enemy of a well loved celebrity.
I'm from memphis and never been to Graceland in my 37 years but I no damn well they better not sell Graceland. It's a legacy in our city.

This was a scam from the start. The supposed company wasn't actually trying to steal Graceland, they were after foreclosure auction bidders cash. The idea being they could quietly slip the notice in the paper past any Presley heirs, do the auction, and if the sale had gone through the scammer would have handed the purchaser the fake documents and took their money offshore. Then the Presley estate would have been forced to fight it out in court with the buyer.
CIA should render these scammers at black sites.

Sounds like they tried to steal the house and now they want to run away like it never happened this was a scam from the start the reason they dismissed it was to keep it from being investigated.
Since they tried a crime was committed and an investigation should be opened, evidence collected so charges can be filed, but i suspect the person who instigated this scam may have already fled the country.

How the hell did a company supposedly based out of Jacksonville, FL manage to even file any kind of paperwork in Tennessee? Everything about this is suspicious and just goes to show that *all* states need to have foreclosures be a judicially-backed process instead of letting lenders claim properties whenever they feel like it with basically no oversight.
There are no laws barring you from business or legal transactions in other states. A legitimate company would have at least notified the court they would not be there, etc.. They ghosted the court.

Why are crimes like this treated so lightly by the legal system? The legal gives a warning to those that attempt to scam someone out of their home, but sends a 70 yo woman that shoplifts a can of tuna to jail. Left legal system at work again.

Certainly they would've realized the entire affair would be heavily scrutinized. Seems like this was more of a prank on their part. Perhaps the Church of $cientology had something to do with this?
I just arrived home from Wednesday Night Bible Class and I am wondering what is wrong with people today in 2024? First, a lady mayor in Dolton,Illinois wants to ruin people's lives by trying to bankrupt a town through unethical practices and now a company that maybe fake was/or trying to take over Graceland. What is next for the year 2024? All I can say is I am still glad I have my faith and with prayer God can do lot of healing of what has been going on negative in our beloved America. On my visit to Graceland the amazing number of recordings displayed left me wondering how he ever had time for any fun at all. He was working nonstop for the decades he lived. They literally worked him to death.

To anyone who reads this, check with your local Property Appraiser/Tax Collector's office. Many across the country have, or participate in, a program that notifies you whenever any kind of paperwork is filed for your property. All one has to do is sign up, free of charge.

They got called out on their false claim. Makes you wonder how many people have lost their homes to these schemes. A friend of mine got sued by his old apartment management for almost $2,000 and some off the wall company tried sending him a collection that he supposedly owed almost the same amount he was being sued for. That "debt collector" had looked up the piblic records of court filings and tried to take advantage of it.
So it's a crime, right?

The State should takeover the estate. It's A historical monument and also a graveyard. The State would make revenue from tours. It shouldn't be sold to a private person or business.

Not a fan of Elvis by any means but with the amount of tourism that Graceland has generated the property should have national landmark status and be a protected site.

All they(wife and granddaughter of Elvis) need is the original copy of Elvis's Last Will and Testament and the deed, stating that they have the legal rights to Graceland.

It can happen too famous people with all eyes on them. It can happen too any one especially there is a death in the family, sure wish someone like myself would have had there day in court, so how what does the regular people do if they put there trust in the system and the system doesn't remember too file for on behalf of the loved ones left too handle the affairs of the estate of the deceased. I cannot believe that same situation happened to my family last week. But was sold at auction. It's heart breaking 💔 hope the family finds out and stops there inheritance and legacy of there loved ones end up in the hands of who ever would benefit from others who have never given there legal rights away as beneficiaries, they were taken without permission and it's devastating. Everyone should check all deeds and get a judge to do at least what this judge did. Godbless
